Owl city didn’t know he was the sole reason I didn’t kill myself in 2007 but here I am today still completely in love with the magic he composed. I listened to him every single day on loop for my entire teen years and here I am 31 and I couldn’t thank Adam young more for showing up on MySpace so many years ago. The life I needed has always came from his lyrical genius. I wish I could meet him one time to thank him

2:21 is the start of the chord progression to "Cave In" and it's blows my mind, who knows if this came before or after, either way his creativity just sparks everywhere in this song.

I had a breakdown in June of 2019 and almost died my life was almost taken from me and this song really speaks to my experiences because when the hurricanes came for me I became the sea after i got through that bad time meaning I became unbreakable.. Anyone who is going through mental illness there's hope you are not alone.
