6918 That is a Draw knife they come in different widths. 8 or 10 inch run about 50 dollar range. Maybe you can find a cheaper one at a flea market. Jim's wood shop.
Nice👍
Really freaking nice !!
What a great place for a vacation! So cozy! 😊
Looks nice, you're a lucky man.
I here cows!
gorgeous!
Beautiful job wish you would have put faces on it though add on get the stairs out of there
Beautiful cabin! Unfortunately, that music on repeat makes listening very difficult.
👍👍
Nice!
GREAT VIDEO!! THANK YOU!!!
great video but maybe next time use a wireless mic so the voice is louder
Why not get a microfiber floor finish pad and pour and spread it with that ? Instead of spraying it and having it go everywhere.
It activates instantly and gets very sticky until dry again
Great video but, pleeease tell me about the floor. What is it? What brand? What color? It's gorgeous 😍. I came to watch because I'm building cabinets but, the floor stole my attention.
Excellent video! Great tips and you did a very professional looking job. Thank you!
Does it not hurt your baseboards or furniture?
Lovely place. Picture perfect. Congrats!
Man, you made my day. My floors have the same problem, scratches and cloudiness thanks.
Man, in all seriousness you are an accident waiting to happen, i sincerely hope im wrong.
nice looking counter tops...but you really need to invest in some roller stands to help hold wood while ripping. that was pretty sketch
Just made a diy drawing knife from a rusted old steel 90 degree ruler. Wish I could share a pic here! Super proud of myself. It works great!
One thought on the height. Do whatever u like. But in my woods, the spider webs are thick. And if you've ever walked into one, you know what I mean when I say the spider web dance... but then after the dance stops, the worst part -wondering if the spider is now on you. Lol. I like my walking stick head high. I keep it in front of me when I'm walking between trees so it catches the spider webs instead if my face. I also wrap a parachute cord grip for my hand, and at the bottom of the grip i hang a flashlight that shines forward. Then I use a wire tie to keep it still. That way I can carry the walking stick in one hand and light my way, keeping the other hand free for things like adult beverages, cigars, etc. The flashlight I use shoots forward along the grip in one setting then forward out the tip in another. So if I hold the stick forward, parallel to the ground, I can imagine I'm Gandalf and shoot a beam of light out into the woods ahead of me instead of a broader light just ahead to light my way. Ya know, when I hear a grunt or a rustle in the dark.
I am making one now. Needed to know what a draw knife was called, so the comments here helped. But man, it's sticky right? I had to use gloves. Still makes the floor, the tools, and whatever I step on sticky. I found using a chisel was the best too. But now I want a draw knife. Is curved or straight better? Or straight more widely useful? Is that why yours is straight?
Thanks for this encouragement to fix the scratches on my floor. What product did you use to clean before you began spraying the xylene?
Absolutely beautiful….
Beautiful. Such a great build
Nice!
I watched this video and went to look for edge groove pine no lumbar yard has a clue what pine that is. Im curious what wood you used.
This is found at Menards
It is edge glued pine. 5/4
We used bookcase sides with a layer of osb board underneath. I trimmed out the front with 1x2s. I wanted it too look thicker. I stained mine a dark walnut and used bar glaze over the top. It's an epoxy you mix that leaves a shiny appearance. Holds up better than poly.
Just found your channel. I can tell you’re a good dude lol. God bless you sir
Hi Brenten, Do you have extreme winters in your area? How will your boards last with the stain finish? And how often will you have to reapply the stain?
Did you build this?
What boards did you buy? I didn’t understand you.
Same question. Some kind of pine from Menards. That's all I could hear
Very beautiful cabin!
Hey Brenton
What’s up Owen
Perfect spot excellent cabin
Lovely, congrats!
Some folks advise that the grip position on a walking stick should have your firearm level, rather than slanted. That works for me. Wherever the grip is located, it should be comfortable for the user. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying
very very dangerous.....
that stick that you cut is not cedar. cedars are evergreen. your stick is deciduous. learn tree identification before you try to teach.
It is eastern red cedar
Where’s the fridge and food storage?
Love the power washed logs! Beautiful
What a beautiful place, thank you for sharing.
Do you live on the Missouri or Arkansas side?
Nice work, thank you for sharing.

HELP. Did I buy the correct Xylene? Says thins epoxies and enamels? Luckily I just tried it in our bathroom first! It was not beautiful and shiny like your floors, it was dull and streaked?? I followed your directions so worried I purchased the wrong item! Thank you!
