Monster Legend: Rock Apes
#Rockapes #bigfoot #cryptid
The Rock Apes, also known as the Rock Apes of Vietnam, Batutut, Ujit, or Người rừng ("jungle people"), a group of alleged violent humanoids reportedly sighted multiple times during the Vietnam War, which ranged from 1955 to 1975. These creatures were seen mostly by American G.I.s, who told their stories after returning home. Rock Apes were described as hairy, Sasquatch-like humanoids. They were said to be from three to seven feet tall, stout, and very muscular, and some with protruding stomachs. Their hair ranged from red, orange, brown, and black in color, covering everywhere except for their knees, the soles of their feet, hands, and face. The feet of the Rock Apes said to look like deformed human feet, similar to the famous photographed 1960 ”Yeti“ footprints of the Himalayan mountains in Nepal.

I've been feeding crows in my back yard for at least the last 5 years. There was one who came faithfully, every day and, brought 2 young ones with her, eventually. Shortly after that, she stopped coming (I think something happened to her), but the two kids kept coming. It's taken twice as long, to befriend these ones. I don't know why.

I have made friends with a pair of crows, by feeding them. Looks like a parent child kind of relationship. The more bold, parent one, has left me some gifts - some feathers and a big chip. So I think she is happy to be fed by me. Funny, cause when she first came I was gently chasing her away from the other birds (she kept stealing it). She learnt to hold back, amd that if she waited patiently that she would get her turn and I would feed her. This became regular, she knew to pay attention when I called her. Then she started bringing me gifts. I am happy, she is smart and lovely.

It's strange all this crow stuff just came around me so much. Yesterday I was in the back yard and wondered what would happen if I played crow sounds. I used the Bluetooth wireless speaker and put it out beside some random things I brought out like bird seed from the parrot. Dog food. Sliced apples. Grapes and popcorn. lol a bit of a mix. I noticed they started coming around but were staying quiet. They were watching from the trees, I left it and walked back but left the speaker then sat on the patio to watch. I played some sounds and more and more came. There were so many and were so loud then I had a crow sound that was one alone playing, everything the crow in the video did these crows all copied it. It was so amazing, I was loving it. It got dark quick, it was the ending of the day so they left but I'll do this again soon.

I saw a really old crow in a tree and cawed to him several times, all the while he studied me then took off and started circling above me cawing, for the next 3o to 40 minutes other crow's came to him remaining silent, all of a sudden a pure white crow with a pink bill showed up and the old one cawed excitedly several times and took off with all the rest following and making a racket!!! It was an amazing thing to see!!! Love Crows !!❤❤❤❤

There was a crow that had a slightly drooping left wing. He wasn't quite as agile as the others, and I began to feed them group. I would go out every afternoon, and feed them with left over bread, or anything that was simply not eaten. I didn't feed them much as I didn't want to attract other animals. I would say loudly, "crow, crow, caw, caw." After a few weeks they would send the lookout to watch for me. I said the same thing every time. I noticed the "Droopy" as I called him, never quite got enough to eat. I started putting peanuts out for Droopy earlier in the day and would simply say, "Droopy, Droopy, Droopy!" Always 3 times I don't know how, but when I said his name, he would fly down and eat an extra portion. He was always under the watchful eye as a lookout, but never attempted to interfere. I would feed the rest in the afternoon, and Droopy was fed twice. This went on for months. One day I had driven to work only about a mile from where I live, and there was Droopy. I am certain he recognized my red truck, and for over a year, every day, he would be there when I got to work. Cawing down at me, but not a loud obnoxious caw, but a softer one. I live on the coast and the gulls sighted the food. Well the war began, and there must have been 50 crows dive bombing the gulls. They got the hint and learned that my back yard was off limits. Over a year, I found a couple of dead gulls in my yard. I figured the crows won the turf war. It was amazing how I could call them, and finally they didn't even leave a sentry on guard. I learned they had a low burbling, clicking language they used when on the ground eating, and there was some sort of social order. A few mature ones would run interference so the young ones weren't left out. We had no dogs or cats, and our yard was private. After a few months I noticed that they all gathered in a huge tree in my neighbors yard. I think that is where they raised their young. There would be a lot of noise every spring, and they returned to that tree for at least 7 years. Fast forward, Droopy continued his routine of following me to work for a couple of years, and I noticed that I saw him less and less. Finally he just never came back. I don't know what an older ill crow looks like, but I think he had some sort of birth defect because he even hopped around differently and of course his left wing always drooped down about 2 inches. I moved, and I really missed the crows. I am no in an area where there is a dog, but he doesn't chase birds. I hope to make the crows here like the ones where I lived before. I am only about 3 miles from my old home, and I wonder if any of the crows will recognize me. The issue is, I don't have red truck anymore. I think they really homed in on my red truck. Hoping I can get them to trust me here.

My wife fed Ravens, wild ducks, Cardinals, wild turkeys, deer, fox and even fischer every single day., 2X a day. The nesting ducks came back every year, having their babies and bringing them to the feeder. But since their was a feeder there. there was NOTHING anyone could do. She literally was Snowhite. RlP Baby, they ALL miss you... and even tho you cost me a fortune, it was soooooo worth watching. The ducks even learned to paddle up some 200ft of creek just to get their food and greet hercevery morning... and every year, by mid Summer, each mating pair had 8 or 10 ducklings behind them. Most people dont realize birds mate for life. At one point as the amount of bread she put out increased. so did the number of ducks. I think we had at least 500 at one point! Of course EVERYONE BLAMED ME. The local GAME wardon accused me of stocking my freezer, but nothing could have been further from the truth. When we moved to the lake, Ducks Unlimited said they were trying desperately trying to replenish the duck population on the lake. When my wife died 30 yrs later, she'd personally raised that number easily by HUNDREDS!!

I would love to be friends with a raven or crow. I think my yard and patio is a little tight and small for them though. I once had a large raven visit me when I put out a bird feeder. I felt bad because the feeder was way too small for him so I left out of sunflower seeds on the fence he liked to sit on. unfortunately the squirrels got to them first. But I did find him rummaging through the garbage bin a couple of times feasting on some fast food leftovers. I didn’t chase him away. I videoed him

When I was 13 and living in W. Newton, I befriended a wild Crow who became my best friend for the next 3 years of my life. At first, I would feed him hotdogs in our driveway and after a short time we started hanging out with each other on the roof of my house every single day. I called him 'Charlie,' and I still think about my special bond with him to this very day. I’ll stick to this plan for as long as possible I’m just a little anxious that they won’t “accept” me or see my intentions being good and them thinking I’m trying to annoy them or being a threat. Does anyone have tips? These crows live at the end of my village too so it’s not in my backyard or something is that still alright as long as i know where they mostly live?

Ever since I heard that you could form genuine friendships with wild crows, I always wanted to do it, but never got around to it until recently. Once there was a crow outside this burger joint literally on the same street I live trying to pick at someone's discarded carryout in the middle of the road and in decently heavy rain at that, and never before did I wish I had something to give a bird to eat since I was scared that he'd get hit with how dedicated he was to getting that food and how the water was no doubt weighing his wings down. Ever since I've tried to get a bag of nuts and dried fruits to give crows when they can, but it's only really worked once (another case of a hungry crow trying to eat food someone tossed out on the road and at risk of getting hit so I tried to toss some nuts out my window at least on the curb where he'd be safer, he came flying when he saw it so he must've been REALLY hungry, but apparently he didn't get a good enough look at me since every other crow has been very wary of me). Good to know a few more tips to get a friendship to work beyond just feeding them (plus knowing while nuts and dried fruit are good sunflower seeds are probably the better option, especially if I want to avoid ants like what happened to the last bag I got), thanks!
