You did a very well thought out job there. It all worked so well because you are careful and not rushing anything. I am so pleased for you. All your hard work has paid off. It,s not easy working on your own machine while trying to make a living.❤😂Ruth pen yr bont De cymru.
@@ruthbees7214 woohooo 🥳🥳🥳 De cymru🍺🍺🍺!!!Diolch yn fawr iawn 👍, no you are too right there , its not easy! there are external pressures that depend on getting that machine back together ,not just what you see in the video! Thanks 👍
Well done lad, what an achievement. All the best.
Thanks! All the best to you as well 👍
The video was great but the audio wasn't. I'm sure it will get better.
@@colmone5592 yea, the audio is crap , it was a lot worse , took a lot of editing to get it up to that terrible standard, microphone on camera kept getting oil and dirt in it
At 7:00 you're pointing at the hole through which they install the steel ball bearings and the spacers. I think that piece is pressed in and has a threaded hole so you could use a slide hammer to get it out. (edit : I saw you mentioned it a little bit after! So I'll just confirm that) Anyway, nice job. Most guys wouldn't even attempt this in a fully equipped workshop let alone in their backyard.

what a brilliant effort and with no help ... I think your channel will grow fast. Can you also fit the slew bearing to bottom of house first with such as a platform lift and then drop it all onto track frame ?
Thanks ! im glad people find this stuff interesting ! its a lot for sharing ideas like you have done right there , nothing wrong with doing it as you say there , you could turn bolt holes around with joystick in cab then to align the holes on track frame to bearing but i would not be keen on spending much time underneath the body while machine is holding itself up like that ! would be fine with a level concrete floor and specialised equipment for lifting bearing up and lining holes , maybe not quite as simple on gravel !
Slue ring bearing not a easy job and not a job to aton your own you really need two people to line everything up iv had two done in the space of 25 years on two different machines some drivers don't how to grease a machine and that JCB doesn't look all that old is it an 05 or 06 iv got a 04 hitachi i35 with 10.000 hours on it everything tight on it if you look after them they'll last a long time
Great job. Refitting it is not the easiest thing to do single handed!
Very good content. You just need to work on your sound and video quality and you have a good channel potential.

@@glynrogers1018 hi yes or trade ins and sent to auction , its not too bad of a job really ! I would have lost about £8000 on that one as a trade in like that !
👍👍👍.
I did a slew Ring on a 210volvo about 10 years ago. Changed the Drive Sprockets too. Wasn’t a bad job to do.
No probably not ! it took me more time to order parts and go get the blanks for the hydraulics than to do the job haha! did you use this method as well ?
@@McG373 pretty much yeah, the Planetary Gear allows removal of the Half Shaft without taking anything else out and I changed the Sprockets with the undercarriage away from the Machine, had to split the Tracks though but managed on my own.
yes i was only intending on pulling half shaft but couldn't grab it 🥴to get it out , did you press a pin out ? some seem to have a master pin and others don't, chains on mine are warn enough to get ol one off easily by throwing track off idler after releasing a bit of grease i reckon and could possibly get new chain on with out pads with out a split chain aswell ! ill see what i do there when i come to it
@@McG373 just heated the Link and the Pin drifted out. Sounds like the Chains on your Machine are well stretched! I did a JS220 for worn Idlers and Chains but had to repair the Track Frames where the Idlers slide with welded in Shim strips. All the best for now 🤙
Looks like new sprockets on the JS is needed 😂😂
haha! yup needs everything nearly, they weren't much better 4 years ago when i bought the machine!
Great content anyway 👌 👍
How much parts cost per hour is acceptable.
yes not too bad realy about £1-£2/ hour i make repairs out to be on the machines compared to £8-£10 on depreciation on new machinery but thats not taking in to account lost revenue over the repair period and about 1-£2/ hour of labour also so not much in it in the end haha , maybe £2-£4/ hour doesnt sound worthwhile but over 15-20000 hours of use it sounds better
@@McG373 Thanks, great content
That was entertaining watching you struggle with the rotary coupling. I've an 814 and once the bolts holding it up cracked and the hoses sheared off emptying the hydraulic oil tank before I knew anything. It was some job lifting the heavy bugger up in the cavity underneath while trying to put in new bolts.
haha yes , these machines seem to get us every time ! i lifted it up to save damaging it if it dropped down! would the 814 one go down or only up ?
@@McG373 Only down. There is a big flange with the bolt holes that won't go up through the hole above. I had to put a rope around it and hoist it up with a winch through that hole. I bored through the original 5/16" holes to 3/8" and stuck a few long bolts through to take the weight of the coupling while still having a small gap to remove the rope. I then tightened it all the way up and replaced with shorter bolts one by one.
How much silage bales per cow would you need for out wintering
10 fusion bales dry silage per cow and calf up to 14 months old
12.39V would be well under 50% charged. Sometimes these "smart" chargers say it's charged when the charging terminals aren't making a good contact. I prefer an old fashioned charger with a charging current display and so you can see if it is charging or not and the current should decrease to zero as it charges. For terminals that blow off the battery I connect one end of a jump lead to the good terminal and the other end to a carbon rod that you find inside 6V cube batteries. I put a mold around the bad terminal and touch the rod to the terminal. The rod glows red hot and melts the lead. Then i feed in a small bit of new lead like soldering.
sounds like battery issues plague you from time to time aswell ! sounds like a pretty clever method , youll have to make a video on it 👍!
You got the u-joints out quicker than me. I couldn't get the caps out far enough to extract the joint so had to cut them with a grinder
they can be a diferent experience every time haha , lucky on them possibly
This is an excelllent series of videos. I'm very annoyed I just found it now after finishing doing a similar job on a Fiat F110. The parts seem identical. I was wondering what you were doing at the start of the video with the pullers. Did your ring gear carrier not have two punch holes as well for removing the bearing, lol ? It only takes a few seconds to remove the bearing with a punch.I lost a tooth on the ring gear and bought a new one. A few teeth on the carrier were eaten as well and thought I'd get a used carrier but it didn't work out so am using the old one. I didn't grind off the face of the carrier where there seems to be little raised marks in front of each tooth. I suppose with them gone that is what is causing your rattle. My two pieces seem to be stuck together pretty solidly so I stuck them back in.
Haha thanks very much ! might well use same parts in tractors of that era , the old one said fiat on it i think ! yes haha i called myself an idiot in the video for that blunder . The rattle is the propshaft, ive changed the two couplings twice in last 15 years but she needs really the front axle input shaft changed , new couplings, new propshaft and new 4wd output from transmission to stop rattle by now and new couplings drilled for grease nipples
thanks for comment 👍
@@McG373 I meant the rattle in the carrier and ring gear assembly even after sticking in the clip at the back leading to your not using it.

Any reason why your a big ford fan
The 7.5 engine is one of the best ever made in my opinion and second hand parts are quite reasonably priced , not too keen on smaller 6cylinder engines working harder to give same result if that makes sense !

Exactly why do you need the fence so tight that it sounds like a guitar string you're pulling your post out of the ground stretch wire reel to and then back off one click it will still be good and tight less strain on your post also I hope you dip your wooden Post in tar to keep them from rotting so fast.. put everybody's got their way of doing things good luck
hi there ! i dont like them slacker than that , time and weather heat and cold will stretch the wire a little over time , cows and horses wreck them by forcing between barb wire and top net strand if much slacker so for longevity i suppose ! they are not my posts , i do my own with waste oil at the bottom sometimes if re using ones in good condition but otherwise i only use the creosote for myself! thanks for the coment!
it would help if you knew a little about tieing off wire etc before making a how to video
its not a how to its a how i do , ill leave the how to to the professionals like you
Before criticising someone look at yourself It’s tying not tieing
Old school Monkey strainers there from Trevellyn, don't make that type anymore.
Nice job👍 Unfortunately all the posts will be rotted off in a handful of years at best. Everyone around here has given up on tanalised, we tried chestnut not much better either. Creosote is the only option now, expensive but definitely worth it.
I agree, waste of time and effort to do a job that will last maybe 7 years , getting people to invest 2x the amount of money in the materials can be difficult.
👍🏻
Love a newholland machine. Shes got a nice little purr on her and bags of power. What weight is the jcb?
Yes they are good cheap tractors , i find them pretty reliable too! 13.6t js130 she is !
I'm struggling to place your accent, I'm getting Welsh I think...🤔
👍 well done ! Possibly not as well known an accent haha!
@McG373 I have to be honest you've got quite a soft accent but I think my Scottish ears can pick up other Celtic nations accents quite well. On a random note, do you have an upload schedule for videos or is it just as and when? I'll get through what you've uploaded so far eventually but just thought I'd ask. 🙂👌
Yes im the same, i find the gaelic speeking scots or Albanwyr in welsh have a diferent accent to the english speekers ! Where abouts are you in scotland ? I have enough to make one every week but dont find time but i try and get 1-2 or 3 done every month !
@McG373 fantastic, I'll make my way through what there's is so far and wait patiently for more. I'm between Edinburgh and Aberdeen on the east coast. There's some nice English accents but I find the Welsh accent very dreamy and poetic almost. Don't get me wrong I'm sure there are parts that have very strong harsh accents much like parts of Ireland, and Scotland too (cough Glasgow cough!). I can't imagine any one from Wales trying to give it the London or South East of England "in it bruv" and the like. If you've got the time have a look on here for a comedian called Larry Dean. He's hilarious and most notably says in one stand up routine "I'm from Glasgow, we friendly but we're a scary friendly, we'll give you directions and then follow you to make sure you get them right"! Sums up Scotland fairly well I'd say.
