GATECREEPER - THE BLACK CURTAIN Live @ 1720 LA 6/7/24
Arguably the most important (newer) band in death metal right now, GATECREEPER has been a massive part of the revival and resurgence of brutal / barebones / and badass death! And with their latest release of DARK SUPERSTITION, they have taken a bold turn into a similar direction of early Gothenburg-era Swedish Melodic Death Metal, or Melodeath (At The Gates, In Flames, Dark Tranquility, Soilwork, etc.) which just happens to be one of my favorite forms of the genre! This is my first time seeing these guys too, and I was blown the fuck away! This track is my favorite off the new album and they couldn't have delivered a better show of it. Enjoy a front row view of Death Metal in all its glory (and the "Darkest Cowboy" himself, Eric Wagner)!

Isso aí tá muito mais na pegada do Morbid Visions, que nem era a mesma formação que viria a estourar completamente depois.

Isso q eu disse: não adianta falar mal do "americano gritando" se o único som q lembra mais ou menos esse do vídeo são as músicas do Morbid Visions q, repito, foi o primeiro álbum da banda. Depois desse álbum, nada mais foi nessa pegada. Então ele poderia dizer, se ele realmente pensa dessa forma, q "isso é o sepultura, igual ao primeiro álbum... não aquela coisa com o Max e depois o Derick gritando", já que o som do Sepultura pós Max parece muito mais com todos os outros álbuns do q com o primeiro álbum em si.
