It's about one third of the way along the southern coast of the Korean Penisula. It's hard to think of it as being a part of the East Sea. This battle was hardly a decisive one. Hideyoshi had already died in Japan and his forces were in the process of leaving Joseon. Now some of the earlier battles fought by Admiral Yi had been decisive. They stopped the Japanese from resupplying their troups by sea, the only practical way of doing so, thus forcing the Japanese to retreat back to the Busan/Ulsan area. The most decisive battle of the war was the one fought in the Myongnyang Channel on October 26, 1597. This one stopped the Japanese, for the second time, from reaching the Yellow Sea. The Japanese did not have 500 ships. The number was more like 300 and most were likely transport ships. They were much lighter built than the Joseon ships, which numbered about 85 ships and were bonafida warships. I'm one minute, 16 seconds into this video and I really can't continue to watch it. From the point of historical accuracy, there are just too many questionable points. And the still clips from the videos used to get them and from other sources don't match up with the narration. Overall, this is not a very good video to inform and educate viewers about the end of the Imjin War.

There was a basic difference between the Japanese warships and Joeson warships that put the Japanese at a HUGE disadvantage....the Japanese ships were huge and heavy designed to get close and put soldiers on to enemy ships they did have guns but they weren’t that good.. And that’s where the Turtle ships came in they were heavily armoured(and faster) in a way that meant the Japanese boarding tactics couldn’t work and the Koreans had very good guns compared to the Japanese better quality with a longer range.... add in Admiral Yi quite brilliant tactics and there you go...

The chosen music is awful and too loud and the way its being narrated you'd think a bedtime story was being told to a toddler. Do better.

Didnt shock altho there are violent scenes but not so Bad as the wild bunch!

A star studed cast although a glossed over rendition of mercenary work in Africa. The actual videos still available on YT give more of a gruesome look into Col. Mike Hoare's work in the Congo, Angola amongst others. Richard Burton, Harvey Kruger, Roger Moore along with great actors of that period maybe some of the best ever. Mercs the people who hire them and the intricate details of putting ops together is displayed in Dogs of War with Christopher Walken, Tom Barenger, and a very young Ed O'Neal. This film was not on the screen for very long it was thought it was to real to be shown at all theaters. "Mad Mike Hoare" did publish a autobiography though you'll have to do some digging to find it, as he said, " His soldiers were proper gentleman ".
