As Lord Raglan is said to have said as he led the Lancers into the Russian guns , and while adjusting his hat, Lord Raglan ( Trevor Howard ) " well , here goes the last of the Brudenells ".😮
I'm a Corbett. My Ancestors came from there. ❤

Thanks for watching, It really is a great part of the Peak District.
Well done 👏 That pack looked far to heavy to take up there
Thanks for watching, It really was far too heavy. 😂
I first came across Kinder on my first South to North Pennine Way way back in 1976. That same year 1976 I joined the Army and I returned at the end of my Three Year stint in the Military for a second Pennine Way this time North to South. That was followed by The Coast to Coast West to East and the following year an East to West Crossing. That was followed by a Lands End to John OGroats Hike, a John OGroats to Lands End Hike and after a two year rest from Hiking I packed my bergen for a Complete Coastal circumnavigation of Great Brittian. My Last Hike age 65 was my Darlington to High Force then onto Dufton, Appleby, Kirkby Stephens, Keld, Richmond and back to Darlington two years ago. Now retired and what better way to pass the time is watching others out hiking in the UK. All the Best for your future Hikes, Tony in Essex, a retired Hiker
What an incredible life, Thank you for sharing this, the UK country side is a beautiful part of the world that not many know about so I’m hoping this will be the catalyst for more to enjoy it. Thank you for watching.
@@Lucidtravelling There arte lots who know about it, they all live here. In fact on my first Pennine way I was one of nearly 200 that finished at Kirk Yetholme on the same day, NOT that I could see them behind me as I hiked/walked or hobbled into Kirk Yetholme with my first blister of the Hike. Tony in Essex, a Retired Hiker

that's the third incarnation of that castle. Stafford castle was the FIRST castle (yes wooden) William the b*stard built to project his genocide of the north merican people and northumberlands, Harring of the North. Afterwards the English and later the Welsh where inslaved to serfdom.
Thank you. Loved the brilliant drone shots . 😁

Thank you for the support on the channel, That’s amazing, I’m glad my videos are helping others, I do appreciate this so much.
Jeez! I was interested in learning about this place but (sorry!) I could only endure about 20 seconds of this windy and overblown script. Why do people feel the need to get all poetical and poonicated when they talk about old castles and historical landscapes. Soon they start putting in crap music and amateur hour dramatics as well. Mate. Less is more. There are enough facts about this place to tell a stripped down version which might take hours to narrate. Dont waste your time with this Romantic Adventures foolishness. You mistake what has importance for what has none. Is this history, or holiday fun snaps for mum? It isnt about you or what you feel, or how you want to puff up yourself. When was it built, who built it. Why was it built. Who was notorious. Why were they notorious. What are the oral legends. How was the castle used. What happened here. What does it offer now. You've got 20 minutes, maybe 30 minutes max to tell this story. You dont have a half minute to waste At the Very Start for flabby wordiness. Edit yourself and your opinions out! The castle is what I came to learn about. Ive attended political speeches which were more fun than this - even church sermons - from people I disagreed with about everything. I couldnt bear more than 30 seconds! On a subject I'm interested in. It shouldnt need a grumpy old fu**er like me to tell you that this is self-indulgent swill. You can thank me later
The UK- the jewel of Europe ❤
