1983 Honda CB1100F First run of 2020
Might just be the audio but it sounds like the cam chain tensioners need adjusting..??..Had one of these bikes for many years..
My first bike 1987❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
1.500 R.P.M....WHATTTT?
Choke is on...
I have a Red/White in my garage. I bought it from a kid in AZ in ‘96 and I’ve loved it ever since. It’s a really fun bike!
A ride?...ok..better luck next time.. no open road's were you live?
If you're in Great Berrington why the hell would you want to ride to s#*+hole Worcester Mass
Was the person in front touching their brake seemed to be on all the time
This machine is like wine
That pipe sounds great with you really get on the gas at 7:20...
What a beautiful beast!!!! 💋❣️💋❣️💋❣️💋❣️
Cool over the pipe rearview ride.
beautiful Chris ! Im inspired for my CB900 build when I see this
That video is 4 years ago. Now have a Hindle on it.
I have no power when I turn the key on!! 1983 Honda CB 1100f. Inside ignition has a plastic housing.Cannot make contact anymore has to b sanded??
Sweet bikes I just bought one a month ago. Fun fun fun to ride!
I had the same bike in red and white. Kept it in great shape and stock. I sold it 20 years later for double what I paid for it. One of the greatest bikes I ever had.
I have the stock exhaust for mine as well in 9/10 condition. I will easily get 2x my purchase price when I sell.
That is a lot of good lookin' Honda's and a ScramblerBob
Where is ScramblerBob?
Looks like a nice ride Where is this don't look like London Ont to me.Any idea how many 11 f there is in Ontario.
I haven't gotten around to naming this video yet. I was in Upstate NY riding Thurs, Fri, and Sat. No rain all three days!
@@ChrisR57 Beautiful ride nice scenery lot better there then here in Windsor Southern Ontario.
Fast bike, thanks.
Nice Bike💪
Thanks! Have a pair of Ohlins on the rear now. 98K kms, and still running strong!
@@ChrisR57 i have also one with 97.000km on the Bike....but i have made all new this year....you can see it on zamschannel on UA-cam....
ua-cam.com/play/PLNJR2WVnaonWChcNoSzEXw_lrmd4I8SIL.html
That’s beautiful
It sounds like the valve need adjusting..I can hear the rattle or ticking sound..They also ate cam chains at about 30,000...If you changed the oil a lot not so much..i had one for many years,...Great Bike..!!!
Nice mostly Honda F bike ride!!
That bike is in beautiful condition! Collectors item for sure, only made as a 1983 model.
That Hindle sounds amazing, nice ride you have there!!
the clacking at idle IS the primary chain. Mine has done it since 1987. When you raise the idle to 1300 it goes away and without trouble. It is characteristic of this engine that started as a 748cc and grew to a 1062.cc. I bored 2mm over and still no issues after 43,000 miles. twist that idle screw adj. and be done with it.
Hw mache of the motor
That’s awesome! Had the same scoot…
Check out some of my riding videos.
honda's masterpiece the coolest looking naked streetbike honda ever made ,oeps ...sorry i'm drooling
Sorry about the wind noise, my cam that had a helmet mic stopped working!
Very nice Bike....the Sound is 😍😍😍😍 My cb1100f is in this week Finish 😊
How is the break.....can you feel the TRAC????
Braking is good, the TRAC works as it should. There are 4 settings for it.
Got one
Sweet bike! Me want one...
Primary chain is KO
It sounds like the cam chain needs adjustment or possibly replacement. It's a sweet looking bike.
absolute beauty
Hey you've got one! Looking good, wow. I'll have to check out the cb1100f.net sometime as well.
Let me know when it's for sale. I'll be first in line. Seriously
Will do Adam. Where are you from? Have you ever visited cb1100f.net?
92,000 miles and looks brand new
The odometer is in kms. I put it away in storage this fall with 95500 kms (59340mi.) but thanks, I get some people asking if it's a new bike!
Beautiful bike! I owned identical bike back in the day
Very cool watching the scrambler take those turns with that angle. Cool footage.
Bob can ride the wheels off that bike! You should see him in the hills n twistys of Up State NY and Vermont!
@@ChrisR57 no doubt. I'm trying to convince my buddy to sort his yamaha xsr700 into a scrambler, lol. Scramblers are super cool.
It's nice seeing one in such great and mostly original condition. The Canadian CB1100F is still near the top on my list of bikes I must own (again). I had a red one for a very short time in 86. I sold it to my best friend and he still has it. Such a great classic looking bike as it came from Honda in 83, no need to change a thing.
Thanks Scott, I just turned over 92K kms. The bike now has a full stainless steel Hindle 4-2-1 header. I still have the original exhaust system as well.
@@ChrisR57 Awesome! Of course, if you ever decide to sell it.... My buddy that still has my red bike has made many mods to it. It still looks stock at a distance, but as my other riding friends of that time used to say, the only original unmodified bits of the bike left are the paint job, instruments, and the spring that holds the kickstand up. The work was mostly done at a shop called "Race Line Cycle" in TO in the late 80's and early 90's. The chassis and most of the engine were done there, with some of the machine work and head porting done at Niagara Race Crafters and at Leitner and Busch. He has never told any of us how big the engine is now, but it does have one of the four big block cylinders that were cast for Vance and Hines when they ran their 1100 in the NHRA Pro-Stock series in 83. They won the championship that year with the CB1100F. I'm guessing that my old bike is now at least a 1260 cc, but it may be nearer to 1400. It has hit 210 mph (with a 100 hp NOx shot) before he chickened out and let off. He started collecting these bikes and parts for them, like I was doing with my CBX's at the time. He now has a 8' x 20' shed crammed to the bursting point with bikes and parts. Some of the parts are rare racing pieces from HRC, Vance and Hines, Yoshimura, etc. He has a complete front end from a factory (not production) RC30 race kit in there that he was going to put on another 1100F. He also has some American Honda Racing built AMA Superbike 750 to 1015 cc engines still in crates that have never been fired up. These are all titanium valves and everything else good and expensive. One of the 900 based engines is supposed to be good for 170 hp at the rear wheel. He also has bodywork and parts from the CB1100R , the one with the later bodywork. But he only has one stock Canadian bike left (a red one), and it is rough. And he won't sell it....
I saw a cb1100f for sale near wheatley, so tempting
A couple thousand overpriced I think.
@@ChrisR57 my cousin in Brantford has one like yours. great looking bikes
you up and running this year? I saw a cb1100F for sale in London,ON, tempting
Yes, the bike is running great. Out as much as I can when the sun shines!
That’s a lovely bike. Retro is all the rage just now. I have a GSX1400, a CBR1000F and 2 1980’s katana’s, 650’s shaft drive. I really like this CB1100. Sounds the biz. 👍
That was my first road bike and loved it until I reached 150 m/h on the hghway and changed it in 1984 for a Shadow 750 that was the opposite and changed that one for a shadow 1100 in 1985 that was the best bike I had then . Now, got the 2012 Wing and that is my last bike for a big while.
What rpm does your bike sit at 60mph, in 5th gear? Is it 4k?
Yes, 4K rpm in 5th @ 60mph, after I went up one tooth on the countershaft sprocket.
@@ChrisR57 I have a cb1100f, and it's just always seemed weird to me that an air cooled engine cruises at 4k/60mph. She feels like she needs another gear, lol.
@@yukiiscrazy5676 They rev pretty high, well built and oil coolers help.
My cousin has one. It is a beautiful bike. I have 1982 Honda CB750SC Nighthawk!
Are you freaking kidding you read like I do that was the best ride ever I'm waiting for the snow to melt here in Iowa. Impressive ride. I'm impressed with the rear suspension watch the shock Reservoir move up and down with a bike is smooth
Thanks for the ride. The roads in Canada look smooth as silk. Beautiful sound coming from the Hindle exhaust. I recently installed one on my 79" 750F. Lets keep these DOHC F bikes on the road for as long as we can.
Absolutely beautiful!! I bought the red version new in '83 and am wishing I still had it.
Tim Luther It now has a Canadian made, all stainless steel Hindle 4 - 2 - 1 exhaust system...amazing sound and power!!
Some may disagree but I liked the Canadian version best too with the cast handle bars and gold wheels.
