I’m doing the same exact thing! Currently i have one funded account. After the first pay day I’ll get 4 more so i have 5 then the following week add 5. Then add 10. So thats 20 times 50k = $1,000,000

TopStep vs TakeProfit - 50k acct cost at TopStep is 200 vs 105 at TakeProfit. After passing Eval and getting Funded account, get 2k buffer and after that take profit out everyday at 80/20 split where as in TopStep make 250 a day for 5 days straight (you will get days that you will not make 250 but make less or even lose money now its longer than 5 days) and then take payout at 50% of profit (the more longer you trade 5 or 10 days the more chances you will bust your account). Looks like to me TakeProfit have more favorable terms. I rather get PAID everyday than wait for 5 days. Let me know your thoughts

I just wanted to let you know that you can in fact trade more micros than that with the scaling plan. The one to one is: 10 micros = 1 mini. I agree it's worded really bad but you get actually trade up to 20 micros but you can't mix and match because even like 7 micros counts as a whole mini Try it next time you're funded. :) ALSO LESS SIZE to get the winning days and cushion. Build a gap above 4500 before you size up.

It’s sucks, I had an eval I’ve been trading for 5 months and later I was finding consistency and the first day the past the took lose after lose till I had 4 losses in a row per day blowing the account, dw you’ll come back stronger my chart looked exactly like yours too

You are right tho. If you follow your rules, have a backtested strategy and proper risk management adjusted to your drawdown limit, its pretty much impossible to blow an account

This happens often to many. They get to funded and they fail over and over again. All due to lack of emotional control, which trading is all about (even though some will say that discipline is not important in trading, a lie of course). In terms of risking more, the whole trading community won't agree with it. Almost everyone who gets constant pay-outs will reduce risk during funded stage. There is a guy on FTMO who has the same account for 4 years and he risks 0.14% per trade.

What worked for me was realigning my objectives and shifting my mindset away from focusing on profit targets and P&L. Now, I view prop accounts as challenges that test my ability to follow my plan. My daily goal is simple: stick to my strategy to the letter. If I succeed in doing that, I consider the day a success-whether it’s red or green. Thinking this way has made red days feel less devastating and green days (or big wins) less euphoric, which helps avoid the dangers of both extremes. - Green day + stuck to my strategy? Success. - Red day + stuck to my strategy? Success. - Lucky green day where I broke my rules? A failed day that needs to be analyzed and avoided.

Something I see everywhere is people, even some of the ones on the topstep livestreams oversizing. How are people risking more than let's say 100-200 a trade on 50k live or xfa's. If you have a winrate of 50%, losing 10 in a row isn't that hard. Just statistics. So in the longterm you simply cannot survive with a bad risk management. I see people focussing on their profit so much, that downside protection unfortunately comes second. I protect my losses well I'd say, I got 3k on my xfa within 20 trading days. My worst day is -80 $, my best 950$. Yet my winrate is 44%. Managing capital is something most trader's don't really understand or teach. It definitely is the boring side of trading. It"s the art of adding to winners, and still protect them, cutting losses quickly based on live price action or volume information, and lettingsome of your initial position run. Yes all of this combined is possible. I do love the transparency, because it takes balls to be open about things like blowing up accounts. So I respect you a lot! Trading is not about becoming a machine without emotions, it's about becoming a person that know's when to pull the plug. If you have difficulties locking yourself out, then the goal of trading is not money for you, but dopamine kicks like in a casino. You got this! And remember acknowledging problems is not the same as learning from them. Take a break and come back stronger when you feel mentally 100% at peace.

by trading just 1 contract, i’m ensuring that i stay consistent and avoid the pitfalls of overleveraging. one bad day where u go off the rails could wipe out weeks or months of progress. i’d rather go slow and steady, building a solid base and scaling as i grow. sure, using more contracts crosses my mind, but i’m here for the long term game! 🐢

Just test this. Days of no red or brown news I don't trade. Sometimes it does have a continuation (short term bearish or bullish) but when you have news in the middle of the week (FOMC minutes) I found that Mondays, especially, will be a VWAP day (sideways).

I traded NQ on friday knowing fridays are so low probability of clean moves and trend days. Mondays are even worse. But I was bored and took full loss because of hard core choppiness of fridays action.
