Brentford Bin Lorry Fire
Переглядів 137 тис.9 років тому
At 13:45 on 15th September 2015 a rubbish truck pulls off of the A4 into Transport Avenue in Brentford with smoke coming from behind the cab. 10-15 minutes later flames appear at which point the video begins. The video is taken from the 1st floor of the Profile West building which was evacuated and the camera left recording.
and even at 21 minutes, brain dead cretins think it is ok to drive past. who are these people, do they have a single brain cell engaged.
and all the id-10-ts keep driving past, no sense of danger, but would no doubt expect someone to risk their life to help them if it exploded. what is it with these people
Great my bins not going to be emptied today, so I've got to wait even longer now.
poor maintenance. motors get clogged with crap and overworked = extreme heat.
They just like to watch thing’s burn!
What a health and safety breech the fire fighters should of never used water on a bin lorry fire you always use foam on electrical fires 😅
How is it an electrical fire? Also it would be dc so also ok for water 😅
Looks like the rest of London
The fire department sure took a long time getting there.
7 minutes? Thats not long, did you think they would teleport there 🤣
Reflection of shirt and tie no head
At least it isn’t the new Dennis Eagle (that’s the gen before the current one)
Trash truck must be one of the most homosexual things to extinguish because of the smelly contents.
Land of this cuty mercy, how huge and amazing!
My! my! my! All those armchair fire chiefs with all those comments.
5:29 What exactly is the point of putting traffic cones on that side of the road? Vehicles are going to be heading TOWARD them....?
Traffic would have been stopped coming up behind truck. Traffic in opposite direction stopped because of thick smoke obscuring the road.
This clip is aload of rubbish.....
Meanwhile down on the ranch ......
Great reading through the comments of all the UA-cam expert's, all saying where it started, why it started, how it started etc. UA-cam is great for getting degrees these days
You're not reassured that there are so many experts out there to keep us safe from fire? Lol.
Looks like that set alight on the DPF filter
And?
Surprised it took the fire peeps that long to come
Brilliant! Per chance emergency fly-tipping is in order here. Cheers!
The fire engine took ages to arrive
Interesting large building in the background, J C Decaux, the billboard poster people.
Some lovely old buildings along that road Firestone Tyres, Gillette, Beechams. Companies gone, but great architecture remains
X
A great job of that driver to get it off the main road.
Hope everyone got out un injured
Good video shame about the file cabinet reflection
y only 1 appliance ??
They only needed 1
Other would have been following but chief calls off if they can sort.
if only for water till main hydrant opened
I saw a biffa Olympus
Did u see that merc arocs mf300
Stupid modern truck designers!!! World of plastic!... 100 meters rubber hoses..... Kilometers PVC wires.... plastic interior.... and more; more, flammable materials.... used for garbage truck; who not need it!!!! My English is bad... I hope You understand My message!!! Thanks!
Fires on bin lorries usually occur when rubbish gets stuck down the back of the engine, it gets hot and then catches fire.
That dennis refuse trident
Just FYI it is a dennis elite not a trident the trident is the bus version
Ok
Dennis eagle elite on an Olympus hopper
Who are the Idiots running around dropping cones and picking them up and dropping them. One tried to get run over by the fire truck.
Just some random people on the street thinking they are helping.
Dennis Eagle Elite the garbage companies out here in Australia are starting use them I haven't heard of any catching alight
It started just behind the cab in what looked like an electrical box for the pneumatic controls.
All our garbage trucks in Ipswich, Queensland are Dennis, have been for a while now.
in my experiance its usually hydraulic oil leaking onto exhaust when they start there
was it just my phone or isn't there any sound?
No sound
The sound would be of people talking in the background and not very interesting at all.
i bet that stunk...
I like your videos
Excellent job, The US fire crews would have take at least 20 men and one hose to get this under control in around half an hour after the thing had burned out...
+Matthew Wilson Maybe in YOUR neighborhood! LOL
Actually it wouldn't be 2/1 trucks as what would pump the water? it would prob be a engine and a truck
Yep, wack the fire out with a ladder
Felix, the truck would pump it, silly! Also, the number of units responding depends on the area you live in. Some counties have different rules.
clearly you know nothing about firefighting appliances so i'll excuse you on that. In America ''Trucks'' is what in britian we would call a turn table ladder (TL) it hold equipment, hoses and clearly a ladder. Commonly ''trucks'' don't have pumps on them as they require a engine as the americans call it to feed water to the ''truck''
One appliance, two hose lines, excellent work.
Well done UK fire and rescue the US fire fights could learn how it should be done
I learned nothing from this that I don't already do. Thanks for coming out.
Malcolm, you should see what happened in my town (in the US). The engine in a garbage truck caught fire, due to an electrical short, and subsequently, the CNG tank(s) exploded! It's on video, pretty easy to find on YT.
Benjamin Esposti I'm glad CNG hasn't taken off with garbage trucks in Australia for that reason, I have heard about quite a few CNG fuelled garbage trucks in the US catching fire and the fuel tanks exploding over the last year. At least with a diesel truck the fuel isn't under the tremendous pressure that CNG fuel is in the the tanks. A Diesel truck will burn but you won't get the explosion you get from the gas tanks rupturing.
