Nothing was restored at that point, the obvious Jesus didn't die yet but the unobvious Elijah has already come and they did not know him and did whatever to him whatever they desired well its assumed John the Baptist the obvious since Jesus said before that John is Elijah but he was applying Johns attributes to the coming Elijah remember John only taught and did no miracles consequently in Habakkuk is say God would be in his temple and he would conceal his power.
