It became upscale in the 90s. 70s and 80s there was a Del Taco, Carls Jr. McDonalds Woolworths Kaplans Diner, and 4 bookstores. Latinos may be in there but they’re not buying anything. The mall no longer reflects the surrounding communities. In the 90s Henry Segerstrom started advertising over seas to make it a tourist destination. The Mall is privately owned which why its clean and immaculate most other malls are owned by real estate companies. Unfortunately there is zero things for me there now other than old memories.

I stayed there for work years ago and my hotel was right down the street from the paper mill. I had no idea a paper mill would be so stinky.

I’ve always wanted to go to Canada. Particularly Vancouver Island. I think the Pacific rainforests of the West Coast of North America is the coolest region of the entire continent. Unfortunately, I’m not allowed in Canada due to my “criminal” history.

I love it up there. That switchover from downtown to the outer industrial perimeter was wild though. In most places it goes from Urban to residential. That's almost like downtown LA in that sense, but obviously a small town version
