Films d'Art was set up in Karachi by Mushtaq Gazdar in 1967.
We have to our credit more than a hundred documentaries, dramas, commercials and news reels on wide ranging issues: development, human rights, education, women's rights, health, workers' rights, political documentaries, culture and heritage as well as corporate films.
Our films have screened at international film festivals and on Pakistani and international television channels. Besides its home productions, Films d'Art has produced documentaries for government, non governmental organizations and corporations.

Tribute to Saeeda Gazdar, Urdu short story writer.
A memorial tribute to Urdu short story writer and poetess Saeeda Gazdar who passed away on 7th November 2024 was held at Karachi Arts Council on 20th November 2024. Speakers: Mahnaz Rahman, Ahmed Shah, Dr Jaffar Ahmed, Rumana Hussain, Attiya Dawood, Naila Mahmood, Hamida Ghangro, Aslam Khawja, Syed Imam, Zakia Sarwar, Haris Gazdar.
