I don't think I ran into any comps with JKL in 3s because my opponents usually placed JKL with his own team. If he was on the JML line up then I highly doubt this strategy would work. It's basically keeping the adds constantly feared that makes this work and even then it gets sketchy sometimes. I've had it go much worse with other line ups where only basti was standing by the end...

@mofftucker9658 great! I tried t6 for the first time with a pretty crap zorii, and it didn't work out lol. BB8 might be a better strat for now.

@@DylanPlaysGuitar_ yeah my zorii is only 4 or 5 stars so that's why I went with BB8 for the last 2 tiers of the event. It works just fine especially if you follow the above strat and take out SLKR first.

Not sure if you saw but this is for the global conquest feat which requires this specific team that's the only reason I'm using this line up.

Ezra and kanan are the ones to take out imo. Chopper is much more valuable on the team than Ezra.

@@mofftucker9658 Fair enough, Chopper has Taunt + Protection almost every turn while Ezra hands out attacks like no tomorrow, both are good options though (Ezra is less good).

@RatsstaR-lf2gi chopper uses his basic constantly which has the chance to reset cool downs and is massively overlooked as well. He can dispell buffs and pull back tm as well which is huge for the team with rex and Sabine. You can effectively just keep the opponent locked forever. I was only showcasing with these vids that even with 3 star rex and very low gear and not even the right line up they punch up massively.

Yeah I mean that's just the way it goes. Pheonix is only good to a point and early game their real utility is getting through galactic war nodes. You have to be farming your next teams as well so that you can transition to a better squad for squad arena. Don't get hung up on squad arena too much anyways its not really a big deal and later on you'll climb it easy with higher tier teams that you unlock. The game is an absolute grind... I'm talking years of playing every single day to progress optimally so if that type of game isn't for you then I totally understand. I actually left the game months ago because I needed to focus on study and other real life stuff. The game is a big time commitment. Also keep in mind my guides are already becoming out of date in certain ways because I made them summer 2022. The early game can change drastically as new characters are added to the game so you can also check out more updated starting guides from other creators.

@@mofftucker9658 First and foremost, thank you for the well thought out and thorough reply! I appreciate it :) It's good to know to not stress too much about early squad arena. I'm getting 650 squad arena tokens each day, so it's definitely a good amount :) I just unlocked Vader this morning, and Palpy last night, so I'm on my way to my empire team improving! I guess it's just overwhelming to prioritize gearing focus in the right places

@Mikey Silbert hey no prob you're welcome. I know the game is kind of overwhelming at first cuz you start to learn real quick that what you choose to invest in and when is very important. 650 a day for squad is great for now anyways and if you drop down don't sweat it. if you can atleast keep the 400 a day then you're doing pretty good. The game feels very rewarding the more you play and unlock it just takes a lot of time. the most important thing is to try to keep your gear resources focused on 1 or 2 projects (squads) at a time so that you don't spread yourself too thin. And probably more important than that is find a way to keep the game fun for you. Getting really caught up in trying to min max and keep up with the meta can also take the fun out of it so at the end of the day I think consulting guides can save you some headaches down the road but don't stress too much. If you play long enough it all works out in the end lol

Honestly I usually use health mods on everyone for the pheonix. At this point in the game the damage boost is negligible. You just want them to survive.

@@mofftucker9658 oh. the guide i been following is a year old as im newer to the game so wasnt sure what is valid now or not. my phoenix always get destroyed in galactic war by teams like bad batch, so just lookin for any possible boost, but i do understand phoenix supposedly falls off after awhile anyway

@@itachiuchiha-oh1xo yeah.. you only need to gear up pheonix to the point they can beat the thrawn event and then I don't recommend doing much else with them. There are teams in galactic war that they won't be able to beat which is what I use imperial troopers for. The majority of galactic war battles pheonix should do just fine though.

Yeah I could have done a better job showing that explicitly. I believe I talk a bit more about it in the following videos. Due to some life changes I ended up choosing to leave the game for now so Unfortunately this f2p series is only the 3 episodes I made. The game is always changing in terms of what it is currently most efficient but I still think in terms of the first 4 weeks of building an account all the info I shared is still relevant. Hope it's still helpful in someway to you!

I had no trouble getting 3 stars on several final tier mod challenges with pheonix squad. The mod challenges are really not that hard it's just about choosing the right team for the challenge. You also do not need to 3 star all of them right away. Better to choose 2 or 3 different mod sets you want to be farming first and build your inventory from there. If you spread yourself too thin trying to farm a bunch of different sets you will just end up with partial sets of mediocre mods. You want top tier mod choices for the sets you are farming and then as you build that inventory and have your characters modded really well you can begin farming other sets.

I only really use troopers to get through the odd GW node that my phoenix will struggle with. 95% of GW nodes phoenix have no trouble with.

Unfortunately I did have to stop this series and this channel altogether for the time being... I was really enjoying making the new f2p account series too but due to some life changes I needed to leave the game in order to take of real life stuff.

Nice. Sounds like a good plan to me. I was basically building a similar plan on my new account. Everything I'm doing is to build for unlocking gas early on while also building up some essential team for gac like empire, jedi, imperial troopers, geos etc... I chose to leave cls out of my early game plan because those requirements are so useless but cls is an amazing team so he's also worth the investment if that's the path you wanna go

Yes it increases in difficulty with your level. The difficulty of each node is also very random. This is why I recommend building imperial troopers alongside pheonix. Pheonix can easily handle the majority of galactic war and then if you're building a highly offensive team like imperial troopers you can use them to punch through those teams that pheonix would struggle with

Yeah... I feel that. I was able to climb to the 10th place once but after that it's been really tough to climb back to that. I can hold top 50 no problem but even getting top 20 for rewards is tough now. Tons of hyperdrive bundle accounts suddenly. However I still think if you keep pushing with a good fleet you can catch them eventually. most of their fleets are garbage they just have that head start on us right now

@@mofftucker9658 Geo Trio with VD reinforcement under H1 or Exec can get to #1 eventually, just invest in Malevolence unlock ASAP to keep fighting. You need 7* HB+V, g12 SunFac and relics on GeneralG and Spy , but you can take on full relic Negotiators; you are then set for fleet arena until Executors/Profundities start to show up Writing from experience ;)

Early game, they are essentially the first best team you can build to 7 stars quickly. They can get through all 12 nodes of galactic war most days especially if you focus and build the team before you get to lvl 40 plus they get you 2 legendary unlocks. Even if they were only good in galactic war I would build them first because that allows you to get a head start on ships with all the gw currency you'll have saved when you get to lvl 60. They certainly are trash later and you don't want to over invest in them. Build them up to g8 maybe a couple to g9 and get thrawn unlocked at 7 stars and then leave them at that lol

@@mofftucker9658 sadly, the teams that phenix can't beat are getting thrown at me earlier. I had about 3 count dooku teams to deal with in like the first 7 matches. Didn't fare well and I had my worst loss so far, lossing out on 3 chests. Really annoying

@@mofftucker9658 yea I saw that. It's just I don't have enough resources to gear the phenix squad up as well. Once I get them to gear 9 I'll start my farm for empire teams

@@Smible my phnx is only g6-7 rn while my troopers are g4-5 and only like 4 stars each. Troopers are super viable offensively at low gear and stars. You can always prioritize one key character from each faction at first to give you some versatility. So prioritizing Ezras gear for phnx and dark trooper for troopers because those 2 are the main damage dealers for their respective teams.
