True Love: Shah Jahan And The Taj Mahal
Shah Jahan, the fifth Mughal emperor, is often referred to as the "builder king" due to his profound impact on Mughal architecture, which flourished under his reign from 1628 to 1658.
He is best known for commissioning the Taj Mahal, a stunning white marble mausoleum built in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
Beyond the Taj Mahal, Shah Jahan's reign saw the construction of numerous grand structures, including the Red Fort in Delhi and the Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India.
His architectural vision was characterized by symmetry, grandeur, and the extensive use of white marble, often inlaid with precious stones. These constructions were not just feats of engineering but also reflected the emperor's desire to leave a lasting legacy.
Shah Jahan's patronage of the arts and architecture cemented his reputation as a monarch whose contributions significantly shaped India's cultural heritage.

The First Mughal Fratricidal War
Переглядів 32521 день тому
The Mughal Empire, which ruled vast territories in the Indian subcontinent from the early 16th to the mid-18th century, was marked by both grandeur and internal strife. One of the most significant aspects of Mughal history was its recurring fratricidal wars, driven by the imperial custom of primogeniture being largely ignored. Instead, succession was often determined by who could seize power, l...

Bosnia: From Christianity To Islam

The Bosnian Church was a Christian sect that flourished in medieval Bosnia between the 12th and 15th centuries. Distinct from Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy, it held unique theological beliefs and practices. Often misrepresented as a dualist or heretical group, recent scholarship suggests it may have been an independent form of Christianity with Bogomilist influences. The church was le...

I think defense of Medina and its commander must be known well. Fahreddin Pasha and his troops heroically defended Medina to protect the Prophet's mosque and his tomb. When war ended, Sultan "requested" to him that he turn the city over but was refused. Only when his troops pleaded with him, he accepted surrender, but refused to leave himself. His officers loved their commander and they moved him forcefully to the tent that was prepared for him: “You go, I will stay here.” His deputy and the officers with him were astonished and did not know what to do… They consulted among themselves and decided to take him out by force… They approached his bed and surrounded him. On the one hand, they were trying to carry him by force to the tent prepared for him, and on the other hand, they were crying… Because they knew very well how much their commander loved the Messenger of Allah (saw) and why he was so insistent on not leaving the Masjid an-Nabawi. However, they did not want to leave their commander there alone like that. Here is an account of the Turkish surrender: "The farewells of the soldiers, some of whom were armless and some legless, who huddled together and helped each other, in a weak and feeble state, rubbing their faces on the Ravza for the last time, accompanied by prayers, was something to behold. Even some Arabs who had been fed with British gold and made to have a grudge against the Turks could not hold back their tears when they saw this sight." Great job presenting the treachery of some Arabs in selling out their people and religion for a few silver pieces. Palestinian Jews, Christians, and Muslims were living in peace until those who say they are Jews but are without Semitic lineage were transplanted to Palestine from places like Kiev, Bucharest, Berlin, Budapest, Warsaw, and Moscow, by the Rothschilds with the help of the British government, to establish a throne for antichrist ruling over a new world order from Jerusalem. An important point: Ataturk and his anti islam policies were not an overnight development, after the ottoman empire got in contact with the early modern ideological and technological developments of europe, they became aware how far behind they are especially in administration and technology. So it came to the situation that the ottoman higher society or intelligencia tried to become more "developed" and they tried to emulate europe more and more. That lead to the tanzimat reforms and later to the rise of the young turks. In contrast to the Japanese who developed an early form of nationalism which entangled itself with their japanese culture, the ottoman culture was an islamicate culture and people defined themself by religion, so when the intelligencia tried to become more developed they became more detached from religion and in consequence from islamicate culture too. Thats the exact opposite of what happened to the japanese. Many modern turks look with abhorrence to their ottoman islamic heritage/culture and they wish that they were born european, while many japanese in contrast are very proud of their culture. (I gave japan as an example because despite the same timeframe and similar problems they developed quite differently).

There were many causes for the different arab revoltes, like resistance against the far away turkic sultan, resistance against "ottomanisation policies", reaction to growing turkish nationalisms, growing arab nationalism (spread especially by illoyal christian arabs, many early baathists were christian), regional mischief and abuse in policies (especially in the cities very the influence of the central governement was strong). History is so complex that it is always the convergence of many causes what leads to certain events.

Sorry but the houthis werde the regional rulers so the people in the dar al hadith dammaj had to obey, according their own fiqh understandig, the legitimate rulers of the Region yet they didnt. Why? because the Salafi dawah is inconsistent in this respect and what they really mean with the statement “obey the rulers” is this: obey the rulers we approve of even if they are siding with the states or with Israel. No compassion for them as they don’t have compassion for other Muslims.
