Cocos Island Kayak Fishing - My biggest Gadao / Grouper fish 8.8 lbs
Hafa Adai and welcome to Living It Good!
Please pardon the missing hookup footage on this video. My gopro files were corrupted and I was only able to capture the initial start of my kayak fishing.
On this video I caught my new Personal Best of 8.8 lbs Gadao or Grouper fish. What an exciting day to remember, but sadly the video files were corrupted and only memories are in my mind for me to remember.
Have a great day and thanks for watching!

Buenas and Hafa Adai! On this video I encountered a rough ocean. Tested a homemade painted jig and assist hook. No fun when the ocean is too rough to fish. No fish catch this day, but refreshed my kayaking abilities. Thank you for your support! Living It Good!!!

Guam fishing - Kayak, Dogtooth Tuna, Bigeye scads / Atulai

I was not able to capture all fish hookups. But I was able to capture the Dogtooth Tuna. Caught both predator and prey. Bigeye Trevally were great fighter too but was not able to capture in video. Night fishing can be very productive time to fish. It can be very good or not so good if there's too many sharp toothy predators like sharks and barracudas. They will steal your catch and tear up your...

This was a very beautiful day! Calm ocean and the fish were hungry. Tax man (sharks) started the day eating my jig. Caught the Blackjack around 300 ft using live bait and the Bluefin Jack at 25 ft of water using a 20g jig. Living it good!
Kayak Fishing - My first Kawakawa (Bonito) Tuna on the kayak

This day was a day to remember for me. I landed my first Kawakawa Tuna on the kayak. I have seen a fish boil before, but I could not get any fish to bite. This day I was able to land a Tuna. Living it good!
Kayak Fishing - Atulai / Bigeye Scad, Dogtooth Tuna

This time of the year Bigeye Scads (Akuie in Hawaii or Atulai in Guam) are not seen at the local market for sale because the Bigeye Scad's schools are not reaching the shallow beaches for the locals to net. You can still find them on the ocean if you're lucky to be at the right place and the right time. I got lucky this night. Fish on!

Didn't record fishing actions on this day. The swells and currents were strong at this trip. Still happy to land some delicious fish and shared with family and friends.
Guam Kayak Fishing - Lizard Fish Galore / Fish Not for Sale :)
Переглядів 6 тис.2 місяці тому
This was a nice bright day but does not necessarily mean productive fishing day. I discovered this place hold so much Lizard fish, which might be good for live bait for GT and other predatory fish. One of my lesser productive days of fishing. Still a good day on the water. Met this friendly man at the beach really wanted to buy some fish. Sold my catch of the day.

Bro its always like that for the most part when its the best time something messes up and it happens to be the gopro but i been having gopro issues idk they seem to overheat batterys get fat corrupted vids they suck alot
Brotha, same exact thing happened to me. I ended up replacing the bad battery and it was stuck in the gopro from the expansion.
@ haha bro couldnt even pull out the battery instead i pulled out the blue plastic bro all three batterys no good i have gopro 9 black still cherry i mean if u want it ill give it to you i dont use it no battery
Awsome
Bro, i think you need to buy a kayak stabilizer since you mentioned that you tend to sleep on your kayak, keep safe man!
Thanks, Brotha! I have something in mind in the future and modify my kayak.
Drop a light down
You know it, Brotha!🤙
Awesome. That’s good stuff boss!! For the atulai you are using the tsubiki flys?
Thanks for watching! Yes, I use sabikis. I make my own sabiki flies and make them with stronger hooks. That way the hook doesn't get bent too easy when I hook bigger atulai.
You are the man🎣! Great videos! 👍🏼
Thanks for watching!
The atulai is in where yall getting them
I've been lucky at Agat and Orote area.
Jackpot 👍
Hopefully catch more next time, thanks.
Hafa Adai catch dem Big Ones....and Yes Raf Vargas caught his world record back in 2015 or 2016 on his first deployment on Guam, AAFB B52 Squadron Commander then....Can see a picture of the fish at Coral Reef Boat Shop in Tamuning. Guam..
Thanks, Brotha! I'll check his pics when I go to coral reef.
Try live bait
I need to, Mahi and Wahoo are starting to come in. Hopefully, on my next opportunity I can try live bait.

17? Dang, i wont go out if its over 7mph. Get a vhf radio
< 7mph wind is awesome weather to fish. Thank you!
I agree, unless you’re experienced in kayak fishing like you’re doing, how to recover yourself, how to handle a fish, especially if it’s a big catch. Personally, I think you could use a flag, mainly for the boaters to clearly identify you on the water and keep a safe distance from you. Wishing you fair winds and following seas. Most of all, TIGHT LINES!
Thank you, Brotha! I had a flag before, but faded bad and had black spot mold I think. I will make a new one, I know it can make me more visible. I had incident before where multiple boaters exited the channel and one just not paying attention and headed straight at me. I think they were fixing their lines and not looking out. I had to scream on top of my lungs until the finally saw me. I was prepared to jump out of my kayak. Same with you, tight lines, Brotha!
🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Hafa Adai. I’m a new subscriber to your channel. I’m enjoying it so far too. But I would like to ask if you noticed that you had a near collision incident there. Did you notice that?
There was a lot of waves for sure that collided with me there. Which timeframe are you referring? Thanks for the support!
Nice informative video! Stay safe !!
Thanks and stay safe as well!
fish safe bro!
Thanks, Brotha!
Keep safe bro same her in saipan . And always avoid the white wave . That wave will flip you off
You too, Brotha! When it calms down here, I want to try trolling like you do. Thanks for the tips.
Catch clean and cook videos soon?
That's a good idea. I'll see if my wifey will help me or teach me. I might do catch and sell when I get some Atulai. Right now, no atulai on any of the flea markets and locals love atulai. We'll see...haha. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful
Right on!! Just got a kayak through watching your videos. Gonna try it out soon. I would appreciate any tips and tricks on kayak setup or rodnreel. New to the scene. Hopefully I become as good as you sir 🤙🏾
Nice, Brotha! I was in the same boat as you when I first started. If you just want to bring home fish, use bait (squid or shrimp). The problem, all-carnivorous fish will eat your bait and so many unwanted fish will get hooked. Therefore, you will spend a lot of time fixing and re-tying your rig. That's when frustration gets you. I now use jigs, it's more work, but usually hook those pan fry size fish or larger. I use 20lb braid on both my light and heavy reels. For my light set-up I have 3000 size reel and the heavier setup I have 6000 size reels for more capacity to target deeper water. I typically use 25ft of 30-40lb mono for my leader. Since it's been too windy to go out, I may make a video talking about my tackle and kayak setup in the future. Just ask if you have questions and I'll answer if I know. My number one advice to you, get a PFD (personal floatation device) vest and ensure it can carry your weight. It's dangerous out there if you tip over, ensure you know how to flip back your kayak and can get back on it. Practice on shallow water before attempting to go to open ocean. Watch out for surf, big swells and boaters. I have a video coming up next week, you can see how rough the ocean can be on the east. Fish on, Brotha!
Brother, have you tried launching out of Talofofo Bay where Matala coastline is heading south to Inalahan? If not, would love to see some content from there✌️
Brotha, I sure have that in mind. Just the right timing, right now it's been so windy and not safe for kayak, especially the eastside. Also depends on current, if current is towards north, will be hard to go south. I will for sure in the future 🤙.
nice one bro! ive watched your video exiting boat basin, when you chase those boiling fish. the last time i visited guam and had a chance to visit gov. house, we saw a lot of boiling fish at the back where theres a concrete barrier at the back! fish safe bro! watching here your video!🎣👍
Thanks, Brotha! I need to be more like you and upload more videos. You're killing it on the beach side fishing. It's been too windy lately, so I haven't been able to go out and fish to film. I have maybe 1 or 2 videos left for upload from previous fishing trip and I'm out of video. Tight lines, Brotha!
🍒
yessah another solid sesh/video🔥🤙🏽
Yessah! Si yu’os ma’åse for watching, Brotha!

Bro, Hafa Adai from Washington State! Just stumbled on your videos. Nice kayak set up. What brand is your kayak. I have a Pelican I use to catch Dungenous crabs! Fish on!

Hafa Adai, Brotha! Thanks, I have an Old Town, Salty 120 pdl. It's not as stable as their other models, but it's a little faster since it's narrower. Stay warm out there and fish on, Che’lu!
Fish on!
Fish on, Brotha!
