❤❤❤ 70,s
Yeah, that sounds cool, but this was released in 1991 so calm down.
Sensational. This guy's right up there with Chuck Berry!
Just so under-rated!
One of the fathers of real music, one of the fathers of Pub rock.
This shit cooks. I know the old Pub Rock cats had a lot of respect for this guy. Bunch of his other stuff I heard is only so so. Maybe I haven’t found the goods yet. Apparently he played a lot in the days before punk
Superfantastic!🖕
Prachtig blues nummer, maar niet op itunes of spotify verkrijgbaar. Alleen van Dave Edmunds e.a.
brillent
Mickey Jupp ESQUIRE....one , if NOT the most underated singer/ songwriter from ENGLAND ...such a SHAME ...!
This guy got IT.
One of the most underrated artists and not very widely known…….what a shame !
Mickey is 78 today.
Needless to say, Mickey and Dave Edmunds versions are superb. But I would urge people to give a listen to Lee Brilleaux and the Feelgoods 1991 version on their Primo album. Lee was a great admirer of Mickey and that respect comes through in his performance.
I hear ya. But the Lee B version was MEH at best, IMO.
Micky Jupp knows how to roll as well as rock. It is an innate ability that he has and that so many musicians do not.
Great song and performance - so effortless, but you have to be seriously good to nail that feel. Mickey Jupp, like Hank Williams and JJ Cale, has the rare knack of writing deceptively simple-sounding songs - a lot more difficult to do than it might seem.
Mickey is a fabulous songwriter, and has nailed this feel that somehow fits in the cracks just behind the beat. And he originally came from my town in Sussex as well. Dave Edmonds covered it. Mickey is the original.
I cut this in 2001 on my first CD.Snit's Dog & Pony Show"Three Chords and a Cloud Of Dust"
Dr Feelgood did it on primo album and it's a really good one version.. My fav...🙂🙃🤪💕
I didn't know they did it! I'll check it out thanks!!
Mickey Jupp is a well hidden and nearly forgotten gem. A truly honest artist. A songwriter de luxe.
I love the Dave Edmunds version of this song as well.
@@markfahey3921 Dave Edmunds is a great artist with a distinct sound. Love his music.
Find out the whole story of Mickey Jupp in the book Hole In My Pocket available on amazon
Fine book!
@@elrobertoreal thank you, sir!
Dave Edmunds did a good job of this, but Mickeys version is so funky, you've just gotta 'love it.Switchboard Susan is great too!
So good... sheer R&R class!
Recorded a version of this with The Tams years ago. One of my faves from Jupp's repertoire
How had I never heard this? Absolute class!
You can tell how much he influenced Dave Edmunds and others. I absolutely adore Dave Edmunds more but credit where its due. Thank you Mickey Jupp.
This came out in 1991. The days of "influencing" Dave Edmunds was long passed. Or is it "past"?
Just found this one...what a goldmine of music...can't stop hearing it...I switch back an forth with Edmunds......they get behind and in-between that beat.
A better beat than Edmunds INCONCEIVABLE 🎸🎶😱
Does it beat Dave Edmunds...Don't know, it's a damn close call...Great any way!
Mickey gets a boogie beat that is much like a keyboard boogie woogie...hard to do... he plays the piano on this but his guitar sounds a lot like this syncopation...
I think Mickeys version is better than Dave's by a certain body hair. It's the vocals that does it for me.
I love his rock ‘n’ roll songs , however , this is one of my favorites of Mickey’s tracks . Superb !
Fantastischer Song.
Great version and definitely the best.
the original
This is such a good song it would hard to do a bad version of it, unless the person/group doing it was very mediocre or untalented.
Oh yess x
Thanks for putting this up. Never woulda heard it otherwise, hero
Two thumbs way up!
The great Mickey Jupp is now on Twitter! @mickeyjupp1 He is great.
man these guys could boogie such great rhythm guitar
Great song to Shag dance to!
A fine song by a great musician and one of the uk' s finest songwriters to boot ☆
I think mickey is playing a boogie woogie thing on the keyboards that makes it like a snake dance.
heard this for the first time last week, simply fantastic
Just superb !
Where are the comments from the UK musicians?
Damn good beat Love it!
Edmunds tried this one out - but this is the version.
prefer Dave Edmunds
Try the Feelgood version.
I like Mickeys original most, but I think Daves cover is very good too.
Simply wonderful!
Just listen to the comments made about this guy from UK musicians and then weep!
