    Watching again ER and Noah Wyle is the most relevant figure of the show. Very good actor who can play every emotion like pure real. Not easy to cry like he did because men can t cry so deeply but he did and it looked very real

    Written by Stephen Foster in 1854 during a depression in the United States. It's a beautiful song. There are some beautiful covers of it here on youtube such as ones by James Taylor with Yo Yo Ma, Mare Winningham from the movie, Georgia, and an excellent 1919 recording by a spectacular contralto named Louise Homer. Some songs really are meant for the ages.

    the last hour of this concert destroys all his european gigs just look at his face sheer enjoyment and love of what is in front of him, yes the scots take a bit of time to get going but thats us, we expect brilliance and by god did we get it that night, magnificent concert

    fans who dared to enjoy the concert. You constantly cite your credentials as a lifelong Bruce fan, labouring under the misapprehension that this somehows bestows upon you a greater incite into the artist and a greater understanding of his music. And you compound the matter further by accusing other fans of ignorance and blinkered acceptance because they fail to share your malignant views and acknowledge your deluded superiority. I'll say it one more time and then I'm done with you for good:

    Oh, Christ, Morris...are you still banging on about this? Have you no sense of decorum? Have you no respect? Not even for yourself, at least? I feel I have been very clear on this point, but in acknowledging the perceived ambiguity that only a moron like you can derive from my comments allow me to reiterate: I have no issue with you being disappointed at not hearing a favourite song, what I object to is the sneering, elitist and arrogant manner in which you denounce the opinions of other

    you must kiss his pic every night as you go to bed in yourspringsteen jammies, i bet you insist your collegues at work call you "the boss", and that they piss themselves laughing at you behind your back, conceited? you take that fucking biscuit not me, i merely voiced my disappointment that i didn't hear my fave song, i didn't threaten to shoot the man, and yes, one of those with me is my carer, i have MS, doesn't stop me from knocking arrogant little shits like you on their arse when i need to.

  • @morrisshaw

    shows you how ignorant you are, this is scotland, elitism? if you want an elitist pastime try horse racing or rugby or football even, cost you more to watch a match than it would to play golf, tennis, now theres an elitist sport, rowing, sailing, hockey, showjumping, getting further down the list now, the poor man's game is golf, captain of local club this year is a joiner, last year an electrician, year before a BT engineer, before that a hospital van driver, and this at a world famous course.

    3 females? Your carers, presumably? "Real men, working men with dirt under their nails...watching the golf"!! This is perhaps my favourite line in the history of youtube. Absolutely fucking hilarious! Note: if you were trying to assert their proletarian manhood then you completely ruined the effect by offsetting it with a sedentary pastime involving one of the most elitist sports in the world. And what astonishing insights you enjoy giving in to your sad little world - speaks volumes

  • @morrisshaw
    @morrisshaw 15 років тому

    yes ha ha i am self obsessed as i only speak for myself, you on the otherhand seem to speak for the rest of the world, when you going to end poverty? maybe a song about a car would help, i could do this all day but i'm too busy arguing with my wife about who bought the first nils lofgren album, and explaining to my 17yr old who he is while he laughs at the glastonbury coverage i recorded on bbc4 last night, he's amazed how deeply he feels our pain from high atop the pedestal you've put him on.

  • @morrisshaw
    @morrisshaw 15 років тому

    needy? mmmm since when did you own youtube or become the bible for all things E street? i attended in the company of three females who enjoyed the night, not being big fans but only there for my sake as i was the fan, their opinion? a nice bum, he is fit for his age, oh and he doesn't half fancy himself, but then they are all married to men, real men, working men with dirt under their nails, who have all laughed at your comments as we sit watching the golf, you'd run a mile you sad little man

  • @morrisshaw
    @morrisshaw 15 років тому

    methinks it is you that displays the elitist attitude, i've condemned nobody, why would i? i love springsteens music, you seem to miss the whole point, i paid £180 for my tickets plus about another £100 to get there so if i'm a bit annoyed i didn't hear a song then thats my right, like if it had been a scotland match and they didn't score, i'd be annoyed it was a draw and i didn't see a goal, this pedestal some have the man on is misguided, he's just that, a man not some omnipotent god,

  • @JohnnyContagious
    @JohnnyContagious 15 років тому

    man's extraordinary back catalogue and nothing else. You are an elitist, arrogant, conceited, sneering snob - everything, I might add, that The Boss is not. One of Bruce's great qualities is his ability to obliterate prejudices, class differences and pseudo-intellectualism with the unifying quality of his music. This concept is completely lost on you and I am amazed you find anything of joy in the man's music. You have no business being a Bruce Springsteen fan and are an absolute disgrace.

  • @JohnnyContagious
    @JohnnyContagious 15 років тому

    Morris, you are, without question, the most self-obsessed and needy youtuber it has ever been my misfortune to come across. I find it particularly distasteful the way you denigrate the opinions of others who enjoyed the show and condemn them as ignorant, unworthy and misguided. I was gutted I didn't get to hear 'Rosalita', I was gutted I didn't get to hear 'Candy's Room', etc, etc. Everybody on here could go on all night about the songs they didn't get to hear, but that's a testament to the

    i wholeheartedly apologise to all springsteen fans who can't see past the myth and feel they actually are members of his family for some warped reason or other, i've loved his music since i was 12 and i first heard rosalita, nils since seeing him on OGWT in 76 doing keith don't go, learned to play sax because of the big guy, weep like a child when i hear if i fall behind, i died for several hours on new years day, this was my birthday that nearly never was, i've seen him if i go today i'm happy

    is infinitely worse than the whiff of rotten fish that must have emanated from your body during your days as a fisherman. Here's an idea, why don't you take some of those fish and ram them up your ass? I saw Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band in New York, Dublin and London in the 80s, and was I there on Tuesday - it was the best concert out of them all. Maybe your lazy ass shouldn't have waited 35 fucking years to see them? Fuckstick.

    wow, a whole 150 hrs work with loads of free travel thrown in, all in seven months, with 100,000's of adoring fans screaming like pre-pubecent girls, must be a really hard life, i know countless men that age doing 100 hr week of physical labour at this time of year, something he keeps singing about in these "hard times" so forgive me if i don't accept the patronising comments of the starbucks generation, he fell off that pedestal for me, who do i see now? i thought nobody else worth seeing live

    i was dissapointed Rosie didnt indeed come out, and that i never got to hear jungleland or glory days, but hearing incident on 57th street, (my mate had seen BS 15 times before and had never heard incident before tuesday) pink cadillac & bobby jean more than made up for it. i prefer to think of the 26 other tracks he played like no one else alive can play. i personally waited 20+ years to see Bruce in Scotland with The ESB, and it blew my mind., from badlands to the moment i left the stadium

    The Boss philosophy has always been to have fun - & did you miss them do Cover Me, Pink Cadillac and Incident, from request signs? As for seeing them when they were a 'gigging band' - we all wish we could have seen them in the clubs of NJ in the 70s - but this was their 46th date of '09. That 3 hour show has been done 46 times this year & they have 34 to go. Bruce came to Glasgow and played for 3hrs, barely stopping to catch a breath. Doesnt look like he is getting ready for old age to me!

  • @morrisshaw
    @morrisshaw 15 років тому

    mmmm if you liked mamma mia or any other stage musical show, not a gig thats for sure, i see they still turn his guitar down while he thrashed away, major disappointment, i thought i was going to see a gig, with a touring band of note that i waited 30yrs to get to see, not a theatre show fit only for vegas, ok so sounded great and weren't all those camera angles practised to perfection but a gig? not nearly, probably not been for twenty yrs looking at that, wasting nils lofgrens talents

  • @morrisshaw
    @morrisshaw 15 років тому

    waited umpteen years to see them live just to hear twist and feckin shout! went down well with the well oiled portion of the crowd who don't know any better, no rosalita but plays that shit? springsteen the musical, all ready for vegas and old age now, should have made effort to see them thirty years ago when they were still a gigging band and not a musical theatre group, or just watched the bbc glasto footage which was exactly the same, nothing spontanious unless he farted accidently maybe?
