Shame... Bent rim much? I hit a pothole at 80km/h while braking and realised how bad low profile tyres can be for rims (205/45/16)
@@jeanm27 definitely bent. 3 of 4 wheels on this car were bent. Potholes are rough.
Thats a proper learning environment, kinda a positive class Environment
Yeah it was the first time being asked to di something like that. Hopefully it will go better this year! Class again in a month
I like the idea. I did a nascar experience and they offered a cardboard tri fold frame that held 5 pics and it was a cool keepsake. Big pic in the middle with smaller pics on the side.
I like that idea also. Maybe we can grow to that.
Walking into the awards banquet at solo nats and thumbing through your photos at Rupert’s table was always a happy time. It was still real and fresh. This is a good idea
I agree!
Sounds like a great idea! Maybe even get some digital picture frames that do slide shows that someone could buy for maybe $50 and have multiple pics of their choice would be cool. Also I’ve been waiting on license plate frames from both of you and maybe?🤔 Great ideas! Have fun and hope Steven does great!

Awesome video. No bullshit just is what it is❤
very interesting however , it seems you merely used cad plated steel washers those are quite heavy i would prefer and expect you to use similar made of aluminum or titanium you are adding at least a half pound of excess weight ! 😐 I would use a leather hole punch to make the hole , yes you can get them in large diameters
@jackdale9249 I would also have liked to use a different material washer, however the customer didn't want to wait for a set to come in so we used what we could get locally. And the customer was quite happy with how they looked. The added weight isn't hurting anything for a vehicle that is just a weekend fun car.
BAH bs YOU COULD CUT 2 (4) CIRCLES OUT OF ALUMINUM IF YOU COULD NOT FIND THEM! ( WASHERS ) I HAVE TAKEN 350 POUNDS OFF MY F430 ! @@Dare2DreamMotorsports
@jackdale9249 lol who cares how much weight you have taken off your f430? That's not what it's about for this customer. Sure we could have, but this was much easier for the customers time frame and what they wanted to spend. It's simply information about what we did for our customer in hopes to help another person who runs into the same combination.
@@Dare2DreamMotorsports lol JUST SHARING ! IF YOU, ARE A TRUE GEAR HEAD YOU SHOULD BE IMPRESSED! btw WE ARE SEEKING SOMEONE TO MAKE A SCUD REAR UNDERTRAY IN cf HAVE YOU A EMAIL? SO I CAN SEND YOU PHOTOS ? WE HAVE 5 LAYER BRAKE LINES AND LIGHT FLYWHEELS TITANIUM OIL TANK CAPS ! 🤔
You kind of mentioned it in the video, the ability to find another shell is next to impossible for the price you got it. Keep it as a long term project, it is such a cool build.
who the fuck would do this to such a valuable even just hunk of metal but its a 355 shell? to take a forklift and spear it like they were lifting a pallet at Costco, holy shit. was the roof damage on it when you bought it. in parts most cars are 4-5 times the cost of the car to buy it piece by piece. I just cant believe somebody would be so stupid. you should DEFINATELY keep it and bastardize the hell out of. I love to see Ferrari get their panties in a bunch when people use their property to do with it what they please. think a 32v lt5 from a c4 would go in that engine compartment. I'd like that alot!!!! cheers
Keep it! I’d kill to watch a series on you building it!
Get it built, you will never replace what you already have gathered with what you will sell it for, 355 prices are only going one way. I have one in build as well from a bare shell. Maserati/Ferrari V8 mated to a 3.2 6 speed Boxster box is a cost effective driveline that slots straight in. Apart from glass you don't need any other Ferrari parts to finish it and even then plexi is available, lots of suitable donor bits out there. Pick up a cheap Quattroporte for such and whatever is left sells well on ebay.
lowering spring are damn near give away at this point. Broke people cut springs.
Which is why we did an experiment while we wait for other parts to show up. Thanks for the comment though! It helps the channel!
@@Dare2DreamMotorsports No problem, I just hate it when people do that. Maybe if it wasn't to drive on the street. Not as bad as stance car tho lol
@timessiah94 don't worry. They won't be staying around.
Lol a somebody with a high hp bmw need to come set time at this track 😂😂😂😂 this is a joke
I think to really help it through the winter, it may need that classic Subaru racing livery. The light blue with yellow stars and swoop. Might help protect the paint. Midwest salty winter roads are rough
@lalecheaqui8477 oh that will totally help!
I saw the Impreza on the trailer last weekend. I was wondering what that was for. That size tire should be the same diameter as stock 24.8". I was looking at sizes and it should be about the same.
Yeah I'm sure the difference in size was the weight of the car on the stock wheel/ tire and not on the loose wheel/ tire.
Following! I picked up a 2004 WRX with only 111k miles that runs great, very solid, but it has extreme hail damage. I'm trying to figure out what im going to do about that. Not so much a body guy.
@Shillmehowtolive they are a ton of fun! The hail damage can be fixed. It just depends on how much money you want to spend on it.
Nice running. Fastest car all weekend.
Thanks! So much more time in it after looking at data and video! Not sure I can handle the rooster again though...
@ hahaha. Yeah, I saw a few places with more time on the clock, but really good for only 3 sessions on the track. They changed the rooster alarm clock, the original was way better.
Aerocatch is definitely superior. I bought a pair of locking ones from both Aerocatch and a not so cheap ones from a speed shop. The knock offs would get stuck and were just a joke trying to get them open. The lock was also not quality and just felt cheap. The final nail in the coffin was the hardware. It had rust rings after a month of rain. After I installed Aerocatch none of those things were an issue. They really are worh the cost.
@@x1tekja i agree. Aerocatch all day!
Looks awesome! What paint markers did you use? Thanks!
@keithveath it's a Montana brand paint marker. I believe it was 10mm thick.
They still running the same course for every holloweenie event? I think it’s a great idea to give you something to compare to each year.
@@adamp8523 yep. Still the same one

@@UllHari-Productions picked one up the other day. Hoping it helps a bunch
Hi, very nice to see people working on the same car as I do because there is a whole lot of information to share. I score a 355 challenge shell at the beginning of the year from my good friend Jeff Segal. The body is coming out nicely but I still need lots of parts. Is nice to know that you can use other car brand parts like ford wheels and rotors. Thanks for your video and I’ll be happy to see another one. Thank you very much.
@RubenRodriguez-ul6cv you can use anything if you have a welder and some will power! We have been collecting parts for this build. It has been sitting in the corner of the shop for way too long. I need to get back on it now that racing season is coming to an end
Awesome sounds all around! I love your passion! I did BIR for the first time on Monday of this week and loved it- my first row course experience ever! I did it in 118 seconds and could’ve gone maybe 113-115 without much trouble in a high mileage 2002 Z06. Keep driving!!!
How did you reduce radiator hose down to heater hose size?
@benniemusgrove8271 just a reducer adapter for each line

Sweet hat! Car looks great too!
Looks great!!
You never disappoint with your creativity!!! Looking good😎
@@nitemarebyme thanks!
Car looks great and engine sounds healthy. How did the event turn out for you?
@adamp8523 day 1 was great. Last session of day 1 however we developed an oil leak that I at first thought was just oil blowing out of the catch can. Turns out a pressure fitting came slightly loose on the pressure side of the dry sump and was blowing on the header. I couldn't see it at the track, but putting it on the lift today it was an easy find.
@adamp8523 Thankfully I just decided to pack it up and consider the weekend a win before trying to burn the car down.
Corvette was designed for road racing and this one is being used for what they were designed for lap after lap.
I'd much rather pay more for the AeroCatch ones that put engineering and quality in them for the long run reliability
Hi, what should i do when the reverse gear goes in and hopping out and this again and again the drive Gears work.
Buy nice or buy twice lol
I have a 525i with the same issue
Did you find a fix? I'm havin the same issue mate all other gears workin fine
Did the corner workers call you in as a vehicle off track?
How did the dark horse do though?
From reviews on track it's quite the jump over the base GT
Have this issue, under the car but I can’t get the rod out past the second knuckle from the valve body, any tips?
Do you have the valve body loose for the shaft to come all the way out?
@@Dare2DreamMotorsports yes I do, just had to grab pliers to get a better hold on it, doing this with no ramps just being scronny lol, but now after getting all back together and fluid in its showing that it’s in reverse when it’s in park so I’m going to have to drian the fluid and open it back up to figure out the issue
@@humboldtsbest2265 it sounds like you didn't get the rod aligned properly with the shift selector.
@@Dare2DreamMotorsports it was the broken rod that was stuck, just needed to grab a pair of pliers and give it a little more force, thanks though !
Thanks for sharing. I have a 65 mustang and a c6 z06 so I guess I better keep the corvette.
