Even after the release of the successor the Switch Lite won't be immediately dropped by Nintendo, at least I hope so. We can enjoy playing on it even after more than 2 years, because the library is pretty big and the games are actually really good optimized so the only thing to do is playing all those games.. 😁 Do you already have a Switch Lite or think about getting one?

Thank you for such a nice comment! Jailbroken PS4 is a gem actually even if it is the base model. You can get so much out of the console and enjoy it through out the years without the need to buy the latest gen. I'm happy that you have found a good deal and can enjoy many great titles because this is what counts - the pure joy! I didn't played Kingdom Hearts 3, it's still on my list. ^^ As for the videos, there are maaaany on my list and few are in production and there is also a cool series that I'm producing, so stay tuned.. 😁

Yep, that's why I recommended at the end of the video, that the console is a good choice but wouldn't recommend to play it on a 4K tv. Do you still play on the Xbox One or did you upgraded already?

It depends. If you own physical copy - without any problem but you play the unpatched version. For the digital versions you would need to setup the Xbox as the "Home Xbox" and then after download you can enjoy them offline. The X360 games... they'll require internet to download the proper files but like with the digital games, you can enjoy them offline after that. Do you think about getting the Xbox One?

Yup, that is true! Tossing an SSD into it and giving a good clean can do magic actually and you don't have to spend all that money for the latest gen to play great games. Do you still have the PS4 Pro and use it as a main console?

I'm on a hunt for a 500mln edition, but getting one in a good condition for a good price is actually a challenge. Getting those other versions was a plan to satisfy your "inner regret" or? Do you have them on display?

@@davegc1 Mine was mint, got 400 euros for it, it went to Poland I think. I've always liked limited edition stuff, the first ps4 I bought was the metal gear solid edition, it broke and I bought the 500 millions edition but I wish I didn't sell it now that I've seen what they go for. But The last of us 2 limited edition is also a great edition with the Ellie tattoo engraved on the front. I do have a glass display with the PS1 and a PS5 30th anniversary at the bottom, the satin silver PS2 and PS2 slim on the next, my original launch PS3 60gb next and then my broken metal gear solid PS4. Then I have a ps3 slim from 2010 that I use almost every day still as both gaming but mostly media center. And a plethra of other ps2's ps3's and ps4's, plus a regular phat PS5. I like collecting 😅

As I was testing Fortnite I was actually surprised, that it worked that good on this console, that's why I would recommend buying this console for every one who want's to play Fortnite but doesn't has the money for a PC. Do you play on a monitor or TV?

@ I play on normal 1080p monitor (I think it from Dell around 2015). The output image is absolutely great for a 2013 console. People with low budget can easily have fun with this console, highly recommend it. It also backward compatible so I can also play my old xbox 360 games on the xbox one too

Yeah, on the monitor, especially 1080p it looks really good. I got my unit with games and 2 controllers for 70€ so the console alone would be like 30€ maybe. For 30€ playing current online games in a decent quality? No way somebody can top it with a PC build that cheap! Do you find yourself playing something else than Fortnite?

@@davegc1 my favourite team was man city and it still is . As for mods i did know at that time because it was on my brothers laptop .He would let me play but there was a limit ,so i would usually make the most of that time

True, I didn't mentioned that, the OLED is more superior in bright light. Sometimes I do struggle with the Switch Lite panel so a Switch Lite OLED would be great. Do you own a Switch Lite maybe?

@ honestly, it depends; i mean it definitely lessens portability a bit, but the ergonomics make a world of difference. I’m a pretty large-handed guy, so the switch lite on its own was giving me handcramps for the claw grip; now I can literally play for unlimited hours. Combine that with how light the console is and gaming in bed has never been better 😮‍💨

That is actually a good recommendation! I have checked Amazon and there is non in-stock and from the website directly the shipping only would cost me almost 40€ so I'll have to wait a little, because I would like to have the grip with the case together. In between I'll probably order a case with some grip attachments and see how it works, but you are right, gaming in bed is much better with the Lite than the OLED... 😅 What do you play currently on the Lite if I may to ask?

@davegc1 Too many to choose, but if I had to pick, it would be Shine a Light by Banners. I remember this would play after losing an online season which made the track hit even harder lol. A close second would be Trip Switch by Nothing but Thieves.

Ahhh Shine a Light is such a iconic track! I was never into this genre of music but FIFA showed me, that there is more than EDM 😅 Be honest, how many hours did you put into online season's in FIFA 16? 😁

@davegc1 Haha! Yeah same here bro. I came from a dancehall/reggae musical background and this soundtrack got me interested in the genre. I would say I put in only about 100+ hours, but I was never really that good. I would always bounce between Division 4 and 5 😅

The PS4 definitely had that premium feel for its time, and even today, it holds up really well in terms of design, game library, and overall experience. If you’re considering saving for one in 2025, it depends on what you’re looking for. The PS4 still has an amazing lineup of games, many of which are exclusive and won’t be on Xbox, but the Series S offers access to Xbox Game Pass, which is a fantastic deal actually for trying tons of games, including newer releases that won't show up (some will) on the PS4 unfortunately. You also have to consider on what kind of TV/monitor you'll play. The PS4 Pro on a 4K TV or monitor looks stunning and the Series S outputs only 1440p max so it will look better on a monitor. If the PS4/PS4 Pro feels “cooler” and matches your style and also you want to play the exclusives, it could be worth saving up for. Just keep in mind that some developers might stop supporting it with new games/updates soon as they shift to PS5 more and more. Still, there’s already a massive library of games you can enjoy for years to come. Let me know what you decide to go with-both options have a lot to offer!

@@davegc1 I only use the flip cover on my lite, and for the oled just a regular case. That official Nintendo flip cover for the lite saves so much space

Yep, there is no 4k, so the bigger the TV is, the worse and I saw the difference in every game so this console would be perfect for somebody who has a 1080p monitor only. Did you own a Xbox One back then?

Switch OLED and Steam Deck are more superior in some cases than the Switch Lite, true, but there are still scenarios where the Switch Lite shines (portability, overall build design). Being also cheaper than those 2 mentioned and giving the access to the full library of Nintendo Switch games is a thing and, in my case at least, I don't have to worry about the games, because I own 95% physical and only few (some indie games) digital. What handheld do you rock nowadays?

Thanks for your comment and welcome to the world of consoles (I hope you won't get lost in it 😅)! If you’re deciding between the Xbox 360 S and the Xbox One X, there are the some differences. The Xbox One X is much more powerful than the Xbox 360 S. It has better graphics, faster load times, and can handle modern games more smoothly. While the Xbox 360 has a great selection of classic games, the Xbox One X is backward compatible with many Xbox 360 titles and also has access to modern games so if you’re looking for variety, the One X is the better choice. Online features on the Xbox 360 are being phased out, but the Xbox One X is still fully supported and you can play games like War Thunder, Fortnite, Rocket League and more. It also gives you access to Xbox Game Pass subscription, which lets you play tons of games (yes the library is pretty big). The Xbox One X also works as a 4K entertainment system for Netflix, UA-cam, and Blu-rays if you are into it. So if your budget allows, I’d recommend the Xbox One X. It’s more future-proof, has a bigger game library (looking also at the backwards compatibility), and gives you better performance. The Xbox 360 is great if you’re mainly into older games or working with a tight budget (you can get this console for very cheap), but the One X will offer a much broader experience. I would love to know which one you end up choosing. 😁

@davegc1 I didn't even play multiplayer I just spent an unholy amount of time making fallout vault doors and laboratories.

I have done a video on the Xbox One and in my humble opinion if somebody doesn't have that much money but want to play some Fortnite or any other current multiplayer game (with some drawbacks here and there), then the XO is a nice choice actually. PS4 was and still is better than the OG Xbox One, but on the used market it is slightly more pricey. What I do like about the XO is the fact, that it runs quite even without any cleaning after all those years (the version I got has still the warranty sticker intact and the owner said it was never opened) in comparison to the PS4 jet engine. If somebody has the money then there is no question like "should I consider the PS4 Pro?", because the PS5 would have been bought without thinking twice. That is just my opinion.. 😅 Did you had the PS4 or the Pro version actually?

@davegc1 I've had all versions of the consoles over the years. I am very much a tech enthusiast and I understand what you say about cost etc. If you are on a small budget, then any console is great at a low price.

@davegc1 lol funnily enough I still have my Wii U and I jailbroke it so it runs tons of gamecube games in HD, too. It's a bit of an emulation beast. One of my favourites was the PS2 as the era was so revolutionary. Gta 2d games and new racing games, story driven experiences like silent hill. Absolute classic. Some old games cost a fortune now though, so emulation is the way to go if you like messing about with consoles etc. I'm currently really enjoying the Ps5Pro as it just pushes the ps5 games on the most part to a slightly higher level. Nes and Snes were kings of their time though 👑

Yea, the Xbox 360 edition became a hit in a matter of days. Within a week, it sold I think around million copies and it outsold the PS3 edition which came out almost a year later. How many hours did you played Minecraft back in the days? 😁

@davegc1 not really I'm not the biggest fan of nintendo, I mainly got the lite to play re4,5, burnout paradise, and my third party titles, only nintendo first party game I play is mariokart

Absolutely agree! The library of so many games is one of the Switch's biggest strengths, and no new hardware can take that away to be honest. The 3DS is a perfect example-it still holds up because of its amazing games. Could you share your favorite titles to play on the Switch or 3DS maybe? You make a good point actually! The Switch OLED and Lite were definitely popular holiday gifts (I saw many posts on Reddit about that), and it wouldn’t make much sense for Nintendo to drop the Switch 2 too soon after. If it does release next Christmas, it could give more families time to save up (because the price will be around or above $300). Are there any features you would like to see in the Switch 2 (or the so called successor)?

@@robhunter7245 I would pack the OLED in a rhino protective shield case probably if my 5y old would carry it around 😅 he takes sometimes my Lite and I have somehow no problem with that even though I have only a protective glass on the screen and nothing else. The OLED on the other side, there is so much it can happen 😅 Did you thought about some sort of a silicon case only maybe? They are actually pretty cheap on Amazon.

The Switch V2, OLED and Lite are still selling (NEW) well, so this will be interesting to see, how the successor will do. As if buy the Lite now or not, in my opinion it always depends on needs, budget and the offer.

I think it will reveal this year but not go on sale till next year. Current models still selling well.

A budget-friendly PC build can be a great option for gaming, but even an office PC with a GPU, SSD, and RAM upgrades would likely cost more, in my opinion, than a PS4 Pro with some games included. For those who want a simple plug-and-play experience and access to an amazing game library, the PS4 Pro is still a solid choice. Because you will return the PS5, did you build a "Gaming Office PC" already?

I would opt for the PS4 Pro and if you own a 4K tv or monitor then it is a no brainer. If it is the CUH-72xx then even better. You would need to check if everything is working properly. If you are willing to then cleaning / repasting the ps4 pro would be also cool, to ensure that it will run quiet and cool. I personally wouldn’t probably invest $311 into a ps4 slim even if it is brand new, because you’ll also need some games and you’ll end up spending $400 or even more very quickly. Which revision of the PS4 Pro is it and in what condition is it?
