Oh hi!!! DRZ400SM | Switching Gears in Wheelie | Baby Stoppies :)
Переглядів 13011 місяців тому
Finally got the GoPro set up on the new helmet. I'm back from Texas! I learned a lot while I was there. I'm still working on shifting up and trying to shift down in a wheelie, trying out stoppies and getting used to the feeling before rolling them further.
One of my LAST RIDES up in the PNW before I move! | DRZ400SM POV | Wheelies | SOUND!

I'll miss the scenic views of the PNW and not having Mt. Rainier out my window, but other than that it's onwards towards better things in the future. I can't wait for this move to be over lmao.

The finale. Balance point achieved, learned the footbrake on the drz. It's been a grind but it's time to learn some new tricks!
DRZ400SM Wheelie Practice 1

So it begins. Learning how to wheelie a bigger bike coming from a 150cc. The fear is back lol but slow and steady we'll hit balance point. Definitely a fun bike to learn on I love the DRZ. I've fallen for supermotos!

Wheelie Practice 4 Part 1

Getting even more comfortable leaning it back. Still not being delicate enough on inputs to keep it up further but I'm trying to put in the seat time for it. We'll get there! The bike is a 2019 Lifan KP Mini 150 with Nibbi carb thanks to Dan B and a rear brake master cylinder from a Honda Grom with a tacticalmindz handbrake kit.

A better take from the previous night. Footage in the daytime and edited out the fluff. Lifan KP Mini 150 with rear handbrake kit, nibbi carb.

Only had time to go out for like 30 minutes. But I'm now able to go past balance point! Now it's the grind to feather it there for longer distances.

Great video Pseudo Rider. We should collaborate sometime. Us small creators need to stick together!
I've owned 3 SV650s and an S.V 1000s .Kept selling them and then regretting it!Just bought a 1st Gen.sv650s with low mileage and it's a keeper! You don't realise how good these bikes are until you don't have one to ride anymore!LOL!!
🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍
I also just noticed that your idle rpm is higher than mine. Mine idles just below 1.5 RPM, yours seemed to be well above that?
Damnnnnnnn, that's whoolie fastt.
Thanks bruv I wheelie preeshate it.
awesome bike man just picked up a 01 sv650s and it’s amazing
I like the exhaust is there anyway you can send me a link where I can get one for my DRZ400?
barkersexhaust.com/products/suzuki-dr-z-400-full-single-exhaust-system
I can just smell the autumn from the video 🔥🔥 Nice wheelies man!
I have an identical setup
Ive the same bike. Love mine. To quickly shift up without the clutch let off the gas, click up then back on the gas. Thank me l8r ;)
Yeee these bikes are great. Also clutchless upshift at 3:38 but thanks lol.
I wanna learn to do wheelies I. Second gear any tips
On my DRZ I usually go like 7 mph and sit a little bit more back then you would when riding normally. Then just pull in the clutch, give it a little bit of throttle and let out the clutch all the way (don't drag it!). Its all about timing and the amount of throttle you give it. Also if you don't wanna loop your bike always have your foot on the footbrake. Good tip for learning is to pop it up and immediately pull it back with the break, so you create a subconscious reflex of - Break Means Down. So if you ever get scared or panic because of how high you are getting, just press the break and that will bring it back. Just start having the feeling of picking it up, don't chase them out, get used to the angle and how it feels to drop back. Hope this helped! 🙏🙏
@@syno023 7 miles in second gear?
@@frankmischler4424 Yeah usually for practice I go between running and walking speed whatever that is. I don't have a speedo 😂
@@frankmischler4424 And yes in second gear. It has the power to easily pull the bike up isn't as twitchy as first gear and has enough engine break
Looks like it has some grunt, Is that the stock cv carb you are using with the JD kit?
Hey man which needle did you use with the JD jet kit? Just got the exhaust and going to install it and the jetting.
I used the recommended settings that came with the kit. Since I ride between sea level and 4000ft I believe I'm using the blue needle with the clip at 3rd position. Although having recently moved to Texas where it's warmer I may move the needle to position 2 or go down a jet size to compensate.
Sounds good, kind of reminds me of my old FMF setup (forgot exactly what it was called back then). Looking to get another one unsure if FMF again, Barkers, MRD or Yoshimura. Decisions decisions... :P
i was in the same dilemma and ended up going with the MRD due to pricing/performance according to the forums and wow it sounds throaty and loud and you can really hear it breathe, i absolutely love it and would recommend it to absolutely everyone with a drz
Looking good in 1st gear! 🤘🏾
Thanks! I'm hoping to get some more seat time in after the move to warmer weather, I gotta learn to tip it back more and get rid of the fear lol.
@@pseudorider3918 yessirr! Seat time♿️
Great progress 👍✊🏾
I have the same exact color, 2001. Does your front wheel come off the ground? Mine has great power but always heard these are supposed to wheelie easily? Mine sometimes feels like it could if I just whack the throttle at the right time in first gear but sometimes I try and it doesn’t come up
Yeah if I really want it to, I can get the front wheel to lift just on the power alone in 1st and sometimes in 2nd, but for 2nd gear I'd REALLY have to be trying. At that point it's moreso clutch up territory (at least for me). But for the SV I don't wheelie it since I've heard from sv650 gurus like mad8v that show the oiling isn't great for the front cylinder. Little ones might be alright but I definitely don't 12 o'clock lol.
Tail tidy time! I like the Barker’s design but have a hard time with having to drill out rivets to change the muffler packing.
Beautiful roads by the way
bramm bdum bdum bdum bdum... I love it 🥰😍😍
Нужно купить экипировку
У меня есть оборудование после этого видео
Great video man keep em coming.... How much did you pay for your DRZ and what year is it?
Thanks! It's a 2022 got it last July, out the door was 11k.
@@pseudorider3918 Alright alright, looks excellent!
@@pseudorider3918 11k? Sheesh nice bike man. I figured out the door would be cheaper. I’ve had my eye on the GasGas 700 SM. Dealer gave me a estimate of like lower end 13k… but I think you and I know that’ll be at least 14-15 with everything else calculated in lol. You saying that actually helps because I was thinking of getting the DRZ because it’ll be more reasonable price wise, but i mindset well save up 15-16k and get the 700. Prices are outrageous. Gotta keep saving
@@ninjainyaear5945 Thanks! Honestly I had the same thought process and was a bit taken back by the OTD price. Because I was also looking at an MT-07 they had on the showroom floor and it was basically the same OTD. But I couldn't resist the SM lol. Also up here in the PNW, DRZs are hot right now. They had 4, all of them were gone the next day after I took mine home, and everywhere else they were out and were only taking orders. So the demand also plays a factor for certain prices in areas I'd imagine. GasGas 700 is a nice af bike, and for that price I'd agree it'd be worth to save up for it!
Nice vid! You getting that thing in the air‼️
Ayyy thanks!

The one at 4:03 was smooth
Starting to look good. Now just try to hold your speed steady (less throttle, more rear brake, more angle).

Wow thanks you da WHEEL homie dawg
Woah! That's WHEELIE cool bro!
Dang you WHEELIE think so? I appreciate the kind words
12:52 was the juice! Helll yeah dood. Keep her goin!
Try to hit the brake just before u start the wheelie (front suspension squashes down, when it pops back up you let the clutch out and start the wheelie. Helps a lot with low power bikes.
Aight I'll give it a try. Balance point scares me tho lmao.
Nice Wheelies Bro 😃
Thanks I appreciate it
