why play truckers mp when ats has multiplayer now

i think it is bc of the ugly trucks there and not that much amount of tuning parts me personal i buy mods like Pizzster Modding 389 and trailers or play left lane server

I mostly play single player ATS.

Before SCS added convoy mode, ATSMP had roughly 400-500 players on Fridays and Saturday nights. Cities like phoenix and Las Vegas were guaranteed to be crowded. It was still empty, sure, but on weekends it wasn’t that bad. Ever since convoy mode was added, the players never returned. I am disappointed since I like an MMO environment when it comes to truck sims. On the other hand, you have ETS2MP having 4000+ players during peak hours. In the end, what we really need is more players. ATSMP is not really that popular, and long time players have ditched TMP altogether due to bad history with TMP management. Nowadays the roads (at least on ETS2MP) are filled with accounts made after 2020, with newer players unaware of the past.

Search for the left lane ATS servers thats where most people play 128 players with AI cars/trucks regularly 40-50 people on there. TMP will die when they open up bigger servers to the general public

recomend doing a change to config in the documents/ american truck simulator/ config.cfg gg_max_convoy_size "8" change to "128" then save. this will allow you to see the 128 slot convoy servers or player hosted ones.

from my understand people like to play singleplayer more or convoy because the mods and stuff and the truck modification is so little unlike ETS you got a lot of modification for the truck even you don't have the tunning dlc but i think ATS truckerMP is still fun for me becuse i like the truck desinge i'm asian so don't get to see truck like this around at all

In my opinion, G29/G920/G27 is best starter wheel. I hade G920 as my first wheel, but then switched to Thrustmaster T150 for belt drive. Its been 3 months, and im already switching back. (Though im getting a g27 now, but uses same base, pedals and shifter mechanics)
