      That blanket looks burned so I don't think so. They say that the Prepared Hero Fire blanket can be reused though.

    That's wrong. You should not be teaching this.

    Wait… it’s a one time use?

    • @martcobra3604

      Thank you for reaching out with your question about the reuse of our Mart Cobra Fire Blankets. Our fire blankets are designed to be highly effective for emergency situations, but they are intended for one-time use only. Once used to extinguish a fire, the integrity of the blanket may be compromised, making it less effective for future emergencies. For your safety, we strongly recommend disposing of the used fire blanket in accordance with local regulations and replacing it with a new one. Your safety is our top priority, and we're here to help if you have any more questions!

    Are you supposed to cover the fire away from your body or towards your body? Just thinking it should be away from your body.

      We recommend to cover the fire away from your body. Another tip is to hold the blanket by its top corners, making sure your hands are wrapped around the corners to shield them.

    Most wool blankets do this without burning, or just use a wet blanket

      Wool is a naturally fire-resistant material, however, they are generally heavier and can't withstand temperatures nearly as high as fiberglass fire blankets. Wet blankets are good in a pinch, but they won't really help much with a grease or electrical fire.

    water?

    • @martcobra3604
      @martcobra3604 Рік тому

      Great question! Water is not effective and can even be dangerous when used to extinguish certain types of fires. For Example: 1. Oil and Grease Fires: Water can cause the oil to splatter, spreading the fire. 2. Electrical Fires: Using water can cause electrical shock and may spread the fire. 3. Metal Fires: Certain metals like sodium, potassium, and magnesium react explosively with water. 4. Chemical Fires: Some chemicals react violently with water. 5. Flammable Liquid Fires: Liquids like gasoline, kerosene, and propane can float on water, spreading the fire. 6. Reactive Metal Fires: Alkali metals like lithium, sodium, and potassium react explosively with water. 7. Organic Peroxide Fires:These chemicals may decompose violently when in contact with water.

    Tried completing on drywall. Unfortunately brackets did not hold (lightly tested before placing desk on bracket) Can’t recommend for drywall.
