And finally... I'll share some advice for anyone who jas a similar issue.... While trying to change the thermostat - there are 3 bolts with TX star head size e10. All bolts on this model seem to be TX star heads of varying sizes... Anyway, one bolt snapped and i solved this by filing down the barrel that was left in situ (more by luck than judgement as it started wearing down when using the mole grips😂) So I get an e6 TX star head onto it, gently tapped it in til tight, then used ratchet to loosen. Hope this helps anyone who has similar issues.
Re initial query about 'engine overheating idle engine' - I replaced thermostat but still getting the warning and now thinking it must be temperature sensor. Seen vids on one going into radiator but also thread on corsa forum says there are 2 sensors - any idea where the other is located? Once again, thanks in advance for any help or advice.
@@ajenergy4251 further down there is coolant temperate sensor B, sits on the pipe at the bottom near the readiator
Hi man. Just watched video and thanks for the tips. Came across this as looking for a solution to engine overheating - but before I go there i noticed at approx 4 mins into this video you mentioned a "timing chain" I have been wondering since I bought car - corsa e 1.4 sri 2015 - whether it was belt or chain and when to replace?? Car has done 101000 miles. Any advice greatly appreciated.
Hi, I have a corsa 2015, my wipers are keep breaking, changed linkage and motor, shifter as well. Relay and fuses. I think it might be ECU problems… anyone can help!
For those with the p0171 lean code, check the evap purge valve. The original bosch ones seem to constantly fail and are the likely culprit for that code. In my case the engine was drinking way more fuel, ran rough and was giving off a fuel smell every so often. Along with a few misfires. Changing the evap valve fixed it completely. Take it out, if you can blow through it then it's knackered and needs replacing since the valve is stuck open. Heard online people using maf sensor cleaner to spray in and fix it but honestly just replace the part. Cheap and easy to do.
Top vid mate, would you know why my radio stays on when i stop the car, turn off, and remove the key,it used to go off straight away, but now it takes about 20 seconds or i turn it of at the knob,,Cheer Baza PS Could it be to do with the ignition barrel
Endless problems with the car keep away from em
100% agree, best thing is a Range Rover or Tesla
I found using the small with the large or alternating gives you better flexibility most springs now are tapered, variable rate or whatever they want to call it. In short there is no advance in technology without minor inconvenience for the shop tech 🤗
Good tip
My 2015 1.0L ecoflex has no power. Its like someone has removed the turbo. I put my foot flat and the car doesnt respond. The timing chain was replaced 41000km ago. Current mikeage is 241000. Took iff the intake and the turbo is not stuck. It does turn. Haven't checked while the car is running. Engine light is on. Please help.
Any fault codes ?
Thanks for this video, I've just installed reversing sensors on my Skoda Fabia Mark 2 2012 12V and it was very helpful. Here's some advice based on my experiences... 1) Check you can remove the plastic trims *before* you start drilling holes etc as I found the "nut" that holds the light cluster in place had rusted onto the screw thread and it took ages to free it up! 2) Not having the taps shown in the video, I tried using a "chocolate block" wire connector and cutting the wires to the reversing light, unfortunately the clearance between the back of the cluster and the bodywork was too narrow for it to fit, so I had to crimp on bullet connectors instead. 3) It's not actually "impossible" to get the wires from the sensors to the control unit on your own. I got some stiff garden wire and fed it through the left most sensor hole, then made a loop to secure the end of each sensor wire and pulled it back. It was a bit fiddly, but it saves having to remove the bumper :-) Oh, and make sure you disconnect the boot light and don't leave the ignition on, otherwise you'll flatten the battery. Guess how I know that... Anyway, again my thanks for the useful video.
Hi , #jon suty. Very helpfull video . However I have a corsa e vxr and I constantly get a service esc warning ... any help on this would be great
Does it misfire also ?
What did you tell 🤷🏾♀️
I had a 2017 Corsa that had awful leaks in the offside rear and front foot wells. There was mould everywhere and had seedlings growing in it. Formally complained about it no joy. The water seeped when stepping into it making the bottom of my jeans wet. Had to get rid of it. Happy with my new car.
I had a 2016 corsa sting (90)from new (5miles on it when I picked it up ) the only fault I had was the coil pack had a very slight misfire at 3000 rpm at about 50k, sold the car at 103,000 miles, had it serviced at vx every year, never replaced back tyres and only ever replaced the front tyres once, never had clutch problems or wiper problems, and no speedo problems,it always passed its mot no advisory’s, maybe I was the lucky , just hope my Hyundai is just as good, why did I not buy another corsa there just too expensive and it’s French owned might as well buy a 308, not for me
Thanks for this, my lad is just learning to drive and these Corsas are eye catchers. However, I think we'll look elsewhere.
Im driving opel Corsa Vauxhall 2015 model ,when the engine is cold it take sometiem to start, but when its hot i dont get any struggle
Good morning my corsa losing power replaced throttle body and electronic accelerator and no change please assist

Thanks mate. Legend 👍
I'm going to ask you a question that I have been googling, binging and even went to my Vauxhall dealer who sold me my 2019 Corsa, which is exactly the fuse for the reversing lights on my car, all they said was, there's to boxes one in the engine bay, at which point I could have screamed😅, I would like to know where it is or even what amp it is without taking out every single fuse, its not an MOT fail or I would have had to pay Vauxhall a large amount of money just to replace it, the reversing lights fuse is no where in the manual, any help you can give will be great👍👍👍.
There isn’t one as far as I’m aware, I. Sure it’s switched by the Bcm. I’d check the reverse light switch located on the front of the gearbox, that’s the likely culprit
Thank you for your reply, I will check that.
Could you please advise what battery for me to get for my same shape corsa e 2015 apparently these corsas all come with a varta start stop battery even if your car is not start stop which mine is not. I do not have a radio code and have read that the battery swap needs to be done within 30 seconds or you will have to get the radio code please can you advise
I personally believe the coil pack issue is caused by when the spark plug gets messed up and generally down to not using the correct manufacturer recommended spark plug
Heated windscreen only works on 1 side while the other side remains frosted. Bushes in wiper motor where.Thats the only problem so far.
Those are common on any car tbf
Hi , I want to check the air mix servo on my muns corsa c 2006, how do I get to it, any help will be appreciated. Many thanks.
Nice work. Thanks.
Greetings from North Wales. Im thinking of getting one this make. Have you had much use out of it yet? If xo, does it work ok?
I’ve used it but I don’t rate it that much, it’s more designed for 4x4/ bigger springs so I really struggle with small cars which is mostly what I work on.
@@jonsutyautomotiverepair1993 Thanks for the reply. Im a Hgv mechanic so I dont do many coil springs but the guys where I go for MOT told me they don't rate theirs much either. Their preferred tool is the big cups that you can use with an impact gun, they reckon its far superior. All the best Pal
I've used mine a bit. At the time price was comparable to ebay stuff. From new it leaked from the oring on the relief valve. If you find the same drain oil, piston comes out, take the oring to a hydraulic workshop and they'll measure and fit an oring for a few cents plus gold coin donation to beer o clock fund. No after sales support from vevor. Replaced the oring so far it's fine. No more leaks. It does have very poor paint and welds on it. They may change models. My advice is the same as other workshops: hydraulic is more to go wrong. If you can get a screw down one it'll be much more reliable. Also the spring holders are cast and quite weak. One of the bigger ones failed with use. Just keep in mind it is nowhere near the quality of a quality unit. Jacktek sk-3000 is showing in my feed as I'm writing this lol. I'd buy one at ebay prices. Vevor is now a lot more expensive unless it's on special. I will now buy basic stuff from vevor but I don't consider them any better than ebay and I don't expect any support or warranty from them. Chinese rebadgers.
@@andrewlace Thanks so much for your reply, good advice
right day light is not working , it not the light bulb , is not the fuse ....
Yeah

What if I’m a dumbass and over pressurized thinking it wouldn’t hurt? I guess I looked at the wrong number when checking
Thanks.

T5?
Your top bracket is upside down, the gusset is for pushing against
Cheers mate - yeah I noticed before I used it ha ha
Hi, my corsa e misfires a lot when turbo boosts then flicks the check engine light (engine power reduced)
Same here. Did you manage to find the cause?
Coil pack and replacement spark plugs.Or duel mass air flow needs replacing.
Me too… great piece of information that saved a service call… or as I feared a new boiler!! I’m very grateful.
If you make a video you should show a strut being removed and reinstalled. not just see of you jack works? sad video
Sorry I made you sad but it’s not a strut removal video. Is there anything I can do to make you happy again ? What strut removal video would you like to see?
Haha love the anwser. God bless
Can’t get mine to compress enough, any ideas ? Tried various positions ! For a bmw
this crap is awful ! THE SHAME OF WORLD REGGAE MUSIC nothin to do with ub40 !
Hi, sorry to bother you. A question: I own a 2010 Ford ka and I wanted to ask you by chance do the brake calipers have springs to prevent them from vibrating? Thanks in advance for the answer.
Hi I can’t recall but I don’t think they have shims or anything like I’m sure they are just placed into the carrier. Are you sure it’s not your brake discs or wheel bearing that’s causing the vibration
that NOT a Ford Ka 1.2 he's working onn 🙂

@@martinv1163 yes it was lol
Great video, as established every car has its pros and cons in your opinion and perspective what is the best car for the lease amount of faults you see and the inexpensive-ness of them
Just seen your video, my car radio suddenly has no sound, presume its a fuse as nothing has changed re radio. Do you know what the fuse no is and which colour it is, and is it located in the engine or in the car fuse box. I have a 16 plate 1.4 petrol corsa
I don’t know what fuse it is off the top of my head. Do you indicators still make the noise as they going through the audio system also
@@jonsutyautomotiverepair1993 thank you but all sorted now, checked all fuses, re tuned, restored to factory settings, then gave up. Then just pressed the forward then rewind button and hey presto sound came on. No idea why.
Purge valve, not necessarily do you get a code, it just makes an incredible ticking racket !
Yes you are correct I’ve seen these before ticking - not sure why I didn’t think to say that. Thanks
Had this issue, ran disgnostic engine running lean, change O2 sensor bank 1, Changed both didn’t fix it and same code came up, changed airflow sensor and still didn’t fix it ended up been the valve. Easy way to check it is to take it off your car and try blow through it both ways if you can it needs replacing 👌🏻 2016 corsa E vxr The part from main dealer is £180 which is the one I got but I did find one on Amazon with 5* reviews for £20 but the people also said it makes car sound like a tractor but works 🤣
@@jackcolumbine3647 ha fair enough, if it works it works!
Head gasket go .because waterpump gives up .made plastic .they are chain drive engines and most merchants don't want touch these engines to my cost.i really highly recommend don't buy a vauxhall. Poor quality and bad warranty. My car head gasket went two weeks afther first mot and two weeks out warranty and yep u guessed it vauxhall would not fix this problem. 14 k paper weight . Vauxhall u are a bunch of c%%ts
Thanks for the video. Did the wd40 solve the issue? I have a chirping noise with my blower that I’m trying to pinpoint.
Yes it quietened it down but only for a few days
Great video, I've been searching for a while now about the Unknown Tyre Load with the same TPMS message with little luck on advice. Glad to see you have it covered there same my thoughts about a possible bug.
Thanks for watching
yours seems barely seized. Not the case for all seized wiper arms.
This wasn’t bad at all but the method works, I’ve never once had to use a puller.
I just had to use a puller and I can tell you for free that if you were physically able to yank this off, it would have brought the motor through the glass. Completely fused to the point that even with a puller the arm got cracked in the process. Glad yours wasn't actually stuck for you though.
They are bent lmao
I know right - it would be the e14 aswell- the most commonly used
Where is the solution? I dont find you next video

@@enikobarna764 no problem let me know how you get on with it.
But does that work on the twisting renault ones 🤔🤔👍
Not sure I know what you mean by a twisting renno one, do you mean one that has a spinning colour? No you will need a dynomec or use a Dremel tool to break the colour in two places then carefully chisel it off.
@@jonsutyautomotiverepair1993 yes that's the one a right pain in the arse I use a socket and sometimes it works but they are a headache
@@flippingcarsrepairs I bought a cheap version of a dynomec on eBay - it was £50 and has been amazing. Il do a short video showing it

No problem glad it helped especially with the weather right now. Thanks for watching.
@@jameslawson7791 I presume it was a used Pcb? They often have corrosion on them from Service work as it’s easy to spill water on them. Other than that fan or diverter valve normally.
