This is heartbreaking to hear of someone who has been so poisoned by a degrading shameful cult and a vicious, twisted and greedy church leader. I pray this sweet woman runs from this horrible cult one of the WORST, and discerns God in a sanctified worship fellowship. I pray she surrenders to God, not Gwen almighty, or Elizabeth, the weird. I pray she is led to a real fellowship church and gets counselling for exiting this dangerous cult that Gwen left as her shameful legacy. First word of advice, no church with a female pastor is of God. Even Gwen knew that.

Interesting side note: Courtney mentions the watermelon exploding, rotting from the inside… I’d bought 2 pumpkins 🎃 to sit on my front porch this year for Fall/Halloween. One of them literally started disintegrating, crumbling down after several days, completely rotten in the core. It was a mess. Amazingly the whole reason I was even in the area when I heard Courtney was protesting is because I’d been taking the rotting pumpkin in trash bag to nearby dump. Crazy.

Amen to that. Did you or anyone challenge him with coughing up who in fact he claims these 7 people are and to provide the articles of incorpation that lists these founders as part of the church? Sometimes disconnecting from harmful/hurtful people, even family is the only way. At least for a while until healing yourself becomes a priority and boundaries can be established and respected. Learning what your new normal is while also learning everything you knew wasn’t in the realm of normal takes time - and healing isn’t linear ❤.

I just ended up stumbling upon this and I have to be honest, when I see a fairly nondescriopt video with a middle aged cool dude with black hair wearing sunglasses indoors, it is always certain to be interesting (a million Tommy Wiseau fans can't be wrong) I figured I would learn something. I knew absolutely nothing about your background prior to this, or your Mom's church for that matter, ;but I am privy now and glad I watched this. I am sure you are getting lots different kind of attention and harraassment if I had to guess, so I thought I would take the time to stop and commend you for breaking away, blowing the whistle, standing your ground and compromising your sanity, safety, and privacy to do the right thing and the best thing for you and setting a good example for others trying to find their way. There’s also a big difference between “talking poorly” against someone, and testing the prophet, as the Bible commands- it tells us to test the prophets, to determine if they are of God or not. Questioning is encouraged. We can test any truth claim without fear.

Asking questions is always good- checks and balances and all that. It’s a good healthy thing. Truth can always stand against scrutiny.
