This one is for Andy and Mary, a wonderful couple I met on the way up. They joined the path at the Bwlch, about 200 yards behind me, and I did my very best to stay ahead, but alas, they beat me to the summit. Thanks guys, great to meet you.

Beautiful day for a bash around the MBR at Coed y Brenin, crisp, frosty, cold with clear blue skies.

Dedicated to Emma & Lydia; great to meet you ladies, just the boost I needed on the final scramble
Very impressive stuff David - well done!
Thanks buddy
Hi David, Great video(s)! An absolute pleasure to meet you on Cadair Idris last week. Both Mary and I remain completely impressed at the speed of your ascent with all 14kgs of your very nice bike, and can now see the descent was a blast! Mary says rather you than her! We’ll look out for your future videos. Andy and Mary 👍
Hey Andy, many thanks, great to meet you both, so glad the pain and effort to keep ahead of you earned me some kudos :-) Hope you enjoyed your walk and had a wonderful day. If you fancy coming out for a ride any time, just drop me an email. Not Cadair, even my old bike buddies don't get taken on that ride, but happy to go to Coed y Brenin, fantastic trails and great river to swim in near the end. Hire some bikes, maybe put Mary on an ebike so she can enjoy the ride without too much effort - you too if you prefer. Really enjoyed our chat, stay well and look after yourself and Mary :-)
Just realised you won't be able to see this one on my channel, it's unlisted because it uses the footpath and I don't want the hassle of walkers negative comments; I do my best to minimise upset by going really early, and it is called the pony path - how is that not a bridlepath!! So here's the link to the difficult route up/down Cadair ua-cam.com/video/CaLbWCKKFbw/v-deo.html
I’ve been wanting to ride this trail for years but have heard that trail erosion and locked gates now make it almost impossible? Looks good from your video though?
It's a great route if you like remote, but even back in 2021 when I last rode it the erosion was really bad and rendered some parts of the trail unrideable. I would say it's a better ride in the dry as some sections are subject to flooding/mudding :-)
Met you on the hill this week David , with a few other guys . Thanks for the chat , waiting for that video to come out , and future ones with your new camera . I set up my Brave 7 today and it looks good . Cheers
It was great to meet you. Spent all morning setting up the new DJI Osmo 3. Didn't do the video from that ride - the GoPro cut out just as I reached the best bit, shame as what I had was good, just too much missing to warrant making the video. Look forward to hearing how you get on with Brave 7
ah but do you have slow worms and lizards (OK 1 lizard)😝
I'm afraid I can better you on that, too. Several slow worms, and 4 lizards (rescued from the cats), and aerial combat displays by dragonflies who occasionally came into the kitchen :-)
I've got a love/hate relationship with my badger. A set appeared in the garden and over the next couple of weeks the garden was turned into something resembling the Somme. Had to block the entrance, think he's found somewhere else. Do you have hedgehogs? We've got a Sparrowhawk which lays in wait near our bird table. Once she got stuck in the greenhouse and D had to don gloves to shove it out - rather him than me😀
Surprisingly no hedgehogs yet, but I take your sparrowhawk and raise you kites and buzzards in our trees
Most Excellent!
Well done Ann. .

No way I could do that, I'd be in a ditch two seconds flat. Good on yer mate🙃
Kudos for your bike skills. So many rocks!
Fantastic bike handling amazing ride thank you for sharing
Happy Christmas!😃
Amazing views on the way up your approach stunning.Amazing your descent on the bike 🚲 and bike handling. We are inspired to once again climb our beautiful Welsh mountains.
I am so pleased you like it and it has inspired you to get back out there, all you need now is a good bike :-)
Great watch!
Thank you so much, it was a fantastic day :-)
Looks great bud, where did your ride start.??
Hi matey, the ride starts from Torver, goes up the minor road past Burlington Slate, into the forest, more road to Stephenson Ground, round Raven Crag, down to Seathwaite in Dunnerdale then up Walna Scar. On the way down, break right shortly after Torver Bridge and back down to Torver.I'd be happy to send you the route, but can't attach it this message, so maybe an email or fb address?
@@davidstewart9469 yes great if you would thanks Churchill1969@hotmail.co.uk.. Thanks bud much appreciated
Glad to see you're back on the bike. Great vid. xXx
