I agree! I would much rather a delicate thinner setting. Good thing is that later on I can reset the stone into a different setting!! I'd definitely do 10k yellow gold instead of sterling silver which is what this one is.

Silver is soft. Only a gold or platinum setting can be thinner and keep the stone safe. Thicker silver is necessary in this case.

The stones are still absolutely the same, no cloudiness or scratches! These were mostly in sterling silver and thats a soft metal, so definitely they have scratches and are a bit tarnished. I live in Hawaii too, so the salt ocean air really degrades silver. I HAVE purchased 10k yellow gold and had one of my stones set into it and that one is absolutely gorgeous still! So if it's longevity you want, definitely order 10k or 14k white or yellow gold (depending on your gold color tastes)

Moissanite is color grade DEF or GHI you can choose from options when you order.

I always order GHI but DovEggs usually gives F color when you order GHI.

Diamonds have a mohs hardness of 10. Moissanite I believe is 9.5 or something like that so it's almost as hard as a diamond. The tester works by thermal testing so basically same as diamond would react wirh that kind of test. If you would like more information on the testers I'm sure you can find way more "scientificy" explanation on line. I not sure if I explained it very well! But definitely do some research on moissanite if you're interested in them! I find it fascinating! Have a great day!

GRA I not a real lab. It's a company I China whose office is a hotel rroom. There isn't any lab or company that grades moissanites. The GRA report is a sham, and I believe doveggs doesn't play the fake game by offering something that isn't real. The fact no report is sent makes me respect the company more.

Its DovEggs Classic 6 Prong setting, but yes..its basically the Tiffany setting. It's called the Nova cut, but does look very crushed ice to me. It's gorgeous! And imo the 1.5ct is PLENTY big enough. I went ahead and got this same ring and nova cut in 4cts and honestly..its a bit ..MUCH.

Thank you! I had been growing them because I was like..hmmm..let's see just how long I can handle life with them. Well...I think I got to a point they were bugging me so I just chopped them off one day! I'm learning how to apply acrylic now so I figured I'd just do the acrylic overlay on my natural nails while I practiced and got better with acrylic! Thank you Amy for noticing and commenting! ❤

What i love the most is if you're not happy with the stone shape, color or how it looks within 30 days you can send back to swap out for a different one. Like if you get nova 2ct round but just not liking the way the nova shines, you can send back and get it swapped for a 2ct Hearts an Arrow round. I loooove that about DovEggs!
