I'm ready to grab my first and I'm having a hard time picking between Datejust or a Sub.. Probobly gonna be the Datejust 41 with the mint green dial
I keep seeing and hearing people say 36mm only for the DJ but this looks nice. Whats your wrist size?
I bought the DJ41 with rhodium dial, fluted bezel and oyster bracelet. Beautiful piece. Want to get a sub or GMT next.
Both dial variations are stunning. I have the 39 OP in Rhodium (same colorway) so opted for the blue dial YM.

Can i ask how big is your wrist? This looks great on you. I'm only having a 6 inches wrist. I doubt the 41 will fit me, it might be too big.
The best modern Rolex (and configuration) period. I was really taken by the Sprite there for a while. But it's just a degree too weird. This is the one to have!

I don't get that slope design on the cushion... isn't it adding the risk of the watch head slide down the cushion in some rare occasion? I don't see any real benefit from the slope itself

Did you get your AP, from the Boutique or Grey market! If from Boutique, how long was the wait and did you have to buy other watches, to build a relationship? Thanks, beautiful AP!
Boutique, waiting time was less then 3 months and also got a 2nd 15500ST white dial from them. I got very lucky.

There was a new Boutique that just opened a week ago in my Area! 2 sales associates told me, I have to buy a AP Royal Oak Offshore 43 mm rubber blue strap and dial, in order to get the AP 15500ST.003! It would take 1 to 2 months to get it! Then a lady AP sales associate said otherwise, we can’t guarantee you the AP 15500ST.003, but will fight to allocate it for you! Came back a 1 hour later, told the honest lady, if she would get me a gold AP Royal Oak, I would buy it, plus the 15500ST! Seems AP want’s you to buy a watch what you don’t want, in order to get your grail Watch! Building a relationship, to be part of the exclusive AP family! The AP Boutique, sent my personal information and my wish list to AP, now I’m part of the AP Watch Family enthusiasts, with no watch! I’ll keep going back to the Boutique and bug them, till I get my watches!

I totally agree. Jubilee on BLNR is the way to go. Makes the watch pop and separates it from the sea of subs out there.

I just got this watch but with the smooth bezel. I love that it's 100 m water resistance. It is basically a sport watch in terms of functionality. So versatile and iconic at the same time. I'm literally in love with it.

The datejust 41 is a beautiful watch I love watches but I have never spent 6k + on a watch because I just don’t want to spend that much on a watch you can get a lot of good watches within the 80 100 200 300 dollar price range
A digital Seiko is better in timekeeping than a mechanical Rolex, however is has nothing to do with high end horology.
@@WatchesJourney look man all I was saying was I would not spend 1k over on a watch and that’s my choice I am not saying you can’t or you bought something that’s over rated all I actually recall saying this is a stunning watch I would actually wanted this watch for the longest time the only reason I would get it is to flex it’s just a status symbol

Personally would go for Jubilee bracelet with either fluted or smooth bezel. But there is no bad outcome here, oyster is also nice, and you can always switch between the bracelets. Enjoy your watch journey

I agree absolutely. A really nice Rolex. Classic design. The sunburst rhodium colouring on the face/ dial is knock-out beautiful. The deep blue version and gold version are also really superb.

It’s a great time piece period. I bought the white 41 DJ with Roman numerals, jubilee bracelets. It fit perfectly right out of the box. My AD has DJ’s on display. He also has the two tone Subs on display. No waiting. If you get into this hobby, you may find having a fortune in watches in your house is not a great idea.

Lol how is this a perfect first piece ?? Too vulgar to be dressy ... too dressy to go train or sauna ... to loud for an office worker ... too big for a dress watch ... this is an evening watch for a guy to go an a date but not an everyday watch ... I am just honest.
