I think he has quite a distinctive voice, and his singing technique, that kind of rattle in the back of the throat, somehow exaggerate that. you can sing with the same technique, but it does not nearly as special.

One of my favorites rock singers and balladist on the history of Rock...I wanted to find a full biography on You tube about his full career.. Yngwie Malmsteen I loved his job on the first two albums..and later he formed the Great European Rock band Talisman..and a long solo career then Journey hired him..and he 9 months later continued doing Solo and collaborations ..he also is the singer for Sons of Apollo Supergroup! ..He is still one of my favorite singers and is of puertorican blood ..🇵🇷❤️..he is born in New York and raised in California..Jeff you know I admire you from day one

First heard Jeff when he was vocalist for the german heavy rock band "Axel Rudi Pell". Awesome stuff. Love his voice colour.

Great interview with a top-notch guy and one hell of a rocksinger. I used to work nightshifts and could sing my ass off to my walkman back in the 80's and there was always one song that made me blow my pipes trying to keep up on.. 'We Got The Right' from Keepers Part 2. That is a bitch of a song to sing. Made me sound like a squeeling pig by the end of the song..hehe.. LOVE THIS MAN! thanks for sharing...

He's right about the trumpet analogy. Dio said he reckoned it was his childhood trumpet practice gave him his strong vocal style as a trumpet requires a powerful air flow which means it develops your breath control, needed for strong singing.

Basically Jeff Scott Soto is a naturally super talented vocalist who has kicked ass since the age 8 and could always sing anything ......I sure wish I could say the same for me .

Jeff has a waaaay better vocal quality than Perry and he is a super nice guy, not like that prick Perry.

Vocal cords mature with age as well. With men it's around 40 and with women it's around 30-35. That's really important because that can greatly affect your range and other things as you get older. .
