HellCycle 2.4.x update 10-2024
Ok, so…
Got my 2.4.x boards in, soldered them up with the new reverse voltage diode and tested.
Diode works exactly as intended.
I am making updates to the board.
2.4.2 will have ground plane changes, and an SMA schottky diode instead of the IN4 diode.
Also gotta restock parts so that will be a couple more weeks.

HellCycle v2.3 installed 2016 SGS
Переглядів 321 день тому
Ok, so… In advance of my 2.4 boards arriving, i decided to install 2.3 and wire the bike up. LED strips on bags, tank, and frame now. Secured with a silicone epoxy, so they shouldnt fall off. Really happy with the results. The bags (and maybe tank) could use some diffusion, but otherwise it looks gorgeous. All harness’ custom terminated and sheathed in black nylon. You can only see a bit of tan...
HellCycle V1.02.01 populated and running
Переглядів 332 місяці тому
Ok, so this video is an overview of the populated board demonstrating the functionality of the V1 software. A few challenges i had include a massive ground plane on the top and bottom. I didnt think about this when i designed the board, and as a result when i was soldering the grounded elements, it would just sink the heat, making it difficult to solder. V2 of the board has been altered to bett...

Ok, got my version 1 boards back from OSHPark. This video is just an overview of the new form factor of the HellCycle Mod.
HellCycle mod v2 prototype

This is an LED project for my harley. I have always liked the Ghost Rider’s Hell Cycle. When i got my Harley i knew i wanted flames running on it. I started to design a circuit to create this appearance, and allow it to be altered for different color scheme bikes. Some challenges i had were how it would know what color to be at startup. When power is removed, nothing is saved to inform the uCon...
Hell Cycle mod v1

These are ws2815 addressable LED strips running off an arduino pro mini on my 16 SGS. Its wired up to the ignition cover via acc switch. This is not finished, as i have to build 3 more harnesses, but it works as intended.
Alternating headlights 1961 ranchero
Переглядів 8Рік тому
This is a proof of concept for alternating turn signals in unison with the factory turn signals using a bi-color LED headlight with white & amber halo. This is wired up on a 1961 Ford Ranchero being restored. The entire harness has been replaced with a kwik wire fuse block. Full disclosure, the dual channel relay will have to be replaced with a 5 pin automotive relay, as the terminal blocks don...
Seems like a new word is about to be invented for this sub human life that all these selfish and self-centered individuals. One is needed, maybe unableains... just sayian
Thanks a lot!
Yep
Damn bro wasnt even going fast
Can I buy one off you 😅
Steve, can I feature it? any comment? credited (name on screen)
Yeah, you can use it. Thank you for asking.
Feel free. Please consider attribution
I dont have any updates. Feel free to use them. Attribution would be nice.
may i use it too? do you have update on this clip*?
Hi there, may i use your new dashcam video "accident 5 13 22" on my channel? With credit. Do you have an update? Comment? where did it happen?
Can I use this one too
Hi steve spurgeon, could I feature this clip on my channel? Any comment? Thanks
Awesome build. What did you use for the light ring inside the middle eye and how did you placed it there? Any help would be appreciated.
Ok, the light ting is a series of finer optic strands seated on an altered version of the etsy model. I then sealed the back side, and poured clear epoxy to fill the cavity and fix the strands into position.
@@spurgco thank you 😊
This looks amazing!
Thank you. I learned a lot in the process. Now i have to work on a torso mount to take him to Cons
Hello, may I ask you to get the Arduio Micro "Code" ??
Yeah, i gotta dig it up on the server, so give me a little while. FTR: not a programmer. I got this thing to work, but it isn’t elegant. I would also consider chucking the ps3 remote and go xbox360. They just pair so much easier. I had trouble figuring out how to stuff the transceiver in there because as you can see it pretty full, and i have a few of the Nav controllers about.
@@spurgco thank you verry much :) i am a absolute beginner at Arduino
@@ntdw0011 try this: [drive.google.com/file/d/1hoGMWK3AaU7t8rg-qJ3OnpfFgENfqRTB/view?usp=sharing ] if that throws permission issues, let me know and i will find another resource.
@@spurgco I will try it, thanks a lot :)
Do you may sell such a Setup for this exact modell? I'm build it at the moment and would love to bring it to live but have no experience in electronics and such. :(
It is beautiful, turned out great ❤️ Good job Steve ❤️❤️❤️
Loving this. I need to print another and add more features. Mine only has static lights. did you print the bearing holder and servo mount combo?
Yes. I use a bearing underneath for load distribution, a drive shaft goes through that. A circular servo horn is epoxied to the shaft, and screws into the servo.
great work.
Great model replica 👍👍👍👍👍 l built a Mk2 4 years ago 3/4 scale not as good as yours electronic speaking. My one is silver what colour did you spray yours? Andy
Thank you Andy :) as far as the paint, it is a 2 layer approach with a metallic silver base and a top layer of Tamiya TS-58 light blue pearl metallic. It has that weird silver blue sort of look to it.
@@spurgco OK thanks a lot for your help 👍😀 Andy
I want one. Now shut up and take my money!!!
FTR, I had to replace the servo in this project. I went with an HS55b micro, after the 45 failed. It never really worked right, and jittered always, even with no load. the 55 has been more successful so far.
No GitHub repo? C'mon...
Hi, would be possible that you send me the code of the sound of r2d2: teteretu@gmail.com Thanks :D.
The audio itself i found on Astromech also. They have a wiki that can help you. astromech.net/droidwiki/PADAWAN#Sound
No cool thank you for this at least. I am trying to find the right power for my talk heavy Roo ears but like to see what others have tested before I start ordering mine to test. Thank you very much.
What kind of servo did you use, and it's strength?
Its a Hitec HD-45HB. Its rated for ~14oz@5v. When i spoke to the guy at the hobby shop, he told me its not too weak, but rather there isnt enough torque on the assy. He said he has observed this stutter on RC planes. I havent finished this assy (got stormtrooper armor) but thats the info i have at this time.
Where are you on this project?
Well, I managed to fit the system into a small case (about like a nintendo DS), but called the effort a failure at that point. While it worked, it didn't measure up to what I wanted. I still kick around the idea of a wrist mount, and with the release of the RPi V2 it is tempting to try again, However I am working on a few other things at the moment. My facebook has some pictures (facebook.com/steve.spurgeon.7/media_set?set=a.609468882430230.1073741830.100001013700569&type=3)
can u help me plz
what keyboard were you using?
It is a little FAVI keyboard i bought on amazon. adafruit sells one as well.
steve spurgeon ok thanks for telling me!
***** we didnt mention sd cards....
Hi, would be possible that you send me the code of the sound of r2d2. email: aloritema@hotmail.com Thanks.
NICE!!!!
Thanks! Cant wait to post more. I just ordered the parts for the LED driver going in the time rotor.
Please tell me where you got all those r2 dounds
There is information in the following thread that can help you regarding the sounds. Click through to the Github repository. astromech.net/forums/showthread.php?t=19263&highlight=padawan360
lol mini pc
Your camera hurts my eyes. :(
why did you not get a gpio touch screen ? the screen could have been the mouse than a onscreen keyboard could be the keyboard
Well, the use of the tft lcd was based on what was cheap and available. I have, since this project, used the gpio touchscreen from adafruit. I am interested in something larger though, maybe the 7in range. When this video was made, the little LCD was quick and easy :)
Where did you get those nails?
A few people have commented on my nails. I usually keep them long, though for no specific reason.
steve spurgeon not good.
where did you get the keyboard
All the parts were sourced from Amazon, except the Auto USB adapter. Battery: 4800/6800mAh 12v DC Li-Ion rechargeable Keyboard: FAVI Entertainment FE01-BL Display: 4.3 TFT LCD rear view monitor.
Get that adafruit lcd mounted case for like 30 dollars get a battery and hot glue straps to it
Where did you get the keyboard?
It is a wireless keyboard i got on amazon. A FAVI i seem to recall. I have bought another since that was similar, but not as good IMHO.
@danilo the laser was purchased from laserglow.com brightline. They are ~80-100.00$ This rig is setup with an arduino and an easydriver stepper controller. I posted the arduino script in my public folder drive.google.com/file/d/0B3eRRXGIRUyEUVdySnROOTVtV2M/edit?usp=sharing. Arduino uno w/ easydriver 4.2, and a nema 17 stepper. The modelni was scanning was a Batman figure i had.
Nice work! I would like to ask you about this laser. What is the model? Where did you buy it? What the kind of comunication with microcontrollers, serial? I hope you can answer to me. Thanks
Awesome! Any chance I can bum the source code off you for this? I wanna incorporate it into a mod I'm doing on my RC controller.
The display is a 4.3in tft lcd from amazon. They appear to be used with rear cameras on automobiles.
Where'd you get the monitor
@alanissak the battery was sourced from Amazon also. The details of the the batteries capacity can be found in the earlier comments. The KB has a wireless USB adapter included with it. That adapter is for communication with the KB though. I also have a ISB WiFi adapter to accomplish the networking portion, and get it online. I hope to get a writ solution, but both my designs so far have failed. I still think its cool, and i hope to get a solution that will work.
i spelled keyboard wrong
Also where did you get that lithium ion battery pack and how much
is the wifi adapter used to connect to the keybpard? also i have the same exact keyboard, what does the little usb that comes with it do? also i had the same exact idea instead of a wrist computer mine was a arm computer please Answer i need to know P.S. this video really helped me
cut yo nails bro
Ok, thanks :)
