The Canadian Ski Guide Association is the certifying body for mechanized ski guides in Canada. The CSGA is also a member of Helicat Canada, an industry trade group representing over 40 mechanized backcountry operators from around the world.

The CSGA provides training, mentorship, and certification standards for aspiring guides who wish to work in the Heli-ski and Cat-ski industry.

This CSGA channel is dedicated to providing virtual curriculum videos to enable course candidates to review such things as rope rescue standards, crevasse rescue standards, knots and hitches, improvised harnesses, navigation, map & compass, route planning, backcountry navigation & travel, anchors, snow anchors, improvised anchors, belaying techniques, lowering techniques, avalanche rescue techniques, in-snow immersion rescues techniques, tree well extraction, improvised shelter, winter survival, and more in order to further enhance training and safety in the backcountry.
