Welcome to Schtinerbock a channel where I plan to post videos of my various hobbies. My interests are constantly evolving as life goes on. I've had orchards, worked construction, bowhunted, bowfished, homebrewed and on and on over my long life. Oh the lessons from all of my mistakes that I wish I could have passed onto others. This is what I hope to do even if it's just for a few viewers. I know so many channels edit out their mistakes. I plan to keep all my stupid mistakes in because sometimes thats where you learn the most. I'm not in this for the money just for fun. I have a full time job plus a busy father so I don't have time for special effects, fancy editing or equipment. Maybe later. Currently I'm trying to get into RC cars and airsoft. Who knows what I'll take up next. Always a noob and always trying new things.
Fixing a Traxxas nimh battery that wont charge
When a nimh battery is depleted all the way down the charger may refuse to charge it. This is a trick to get enough power into the battery so it can be recharged. This is what RC companies and some hobby shops won’t tell you because they want you to have to buy a new battery. If you wonder why my videos suck its because this isn’t my job. I’m not after subscribers, likes, or money. I’m just trying to share information. Plus I hate editing video. And I’m an old fart.

Just removed the center console without removing seats in a 2014. You need to push the console back into the rear seats and then lift it up and out of the vehicle. Plenty of room to get it out without the seat needing to come out.
Useless video - you don't show any actual removal.
Found and recovered air pod!! Tip to remove seat bolt covers revealed lost air pod that was otherwise out of reach. Thank you!

Want to make this process SUPER easy? Use a 9v battery, 2 paper clips or wires. Positive to positive, negative to negative on the batteries. (hold on for 20 seconds) I just got my Traxxas 3000ma battery working this way!!
@@schtinerbock4570 I was watching your video and others like it, then looked up voltage on my battery (8.4v) and thought it was worth trying the 9v battery. Worked great!

Where I can find this charger?
Amazon. I believe its the Schumacher SP1297. I have since found a better way if your battery has a non Traxxas balance plug. Get a cheapo 2 cell charger or airsoft NiMH charger. In Amazon search for “Maxmoral 7.4” and you’ll find what im talking about for less than $10. Just connect for a few seconds at a time until your RC charger can detect the battery and begin charging.

Good effort. I might need to change the power accessory outlet bc its not working. I have the EX crv with the heated seats. If i remove the panels, bolts where you showed can you push the console back enough to get to the outlet & heated seat switches?

Also, I think it might have made life easier when you were doing the soaking and vacuuming if you jacked it up slightly and the other side.
Thanks for the info. I had a 2000 Civic and at that time I found a site to download the actual manual that the Honda dealers use, but they don't use those anymore. Luckily my parts guy was nice enough to print out the pages I needed to replace a moulding on the grill and the little loop on the back seat that lets the seat release, but that was way to complicated. Also the compass always flashes, and apparently there's a sending type unit by the antenna, so you have to remove a bunch of the panels and headliner to get to it!

I just bought a 2013 crv and I've never owned a car with so much road noise so I ordered some kilmat noise insulating mats. I'm going to have to take the carpet out which is what you should have done since your were already there. Thanks for the video.
