As a big marvel fan, I whole heartedly agree that marvel movies aren't boring and are full of things that anyone from any age can enjoy. Heroes are the personification of human morals and ideals, and it's fun to dissect and discuss these characters in so many ways. However most current movies have been less that lackluster, especially Black Widow and Ant-Man Quantumania. And no I don't think this is because of the Jokes undercutting the seriousness of what's happening in the plot or that the MCU is now the M-She-U and is trying to push some woke asf nonsenses. I just don't feel the same amount of excitement and enjoyment I once did with these movies with the lead up to infinity war and endgame. No way home, Multiverse of Madness, GOG V3, Thor: L&T were all great but it just doesn't seem as impactful after the original main threat has been gone and we're 16+ years into this universe. It's an amazing ride This rabbit hole I went down is the rabbit hole of someone who enjoys movies for what they are not what I want them to be, and that's why I think people think that Marvel movies are boring. They're formulaic and sometimes repetitive but the people who have been here since the beginning know this and don't care. They're there for other reasons than to waste time or just want a one and done movie with less than 2 parts. No one wants to cram 40+ hours of content to understand the context of what's happening, and that's fair but it shouldn't be a criticism of the MCU, it's a criticism of the person. My mother in particular watches action movies all the damn time while saying stuff like into the spider verse and all superhero movies in general are just for kids (which is a separate stupid argument to begin with, but I want to stay concise here) even though she's more than OK watching the same generic action movie hero's story tale of John wick, Jason Bourne, and all the mission impossible movies. Its not that she's bored with those types of movies, she just isn't the intended audience and can't appreciate what's happening. If you asked her to discuss any part of John Wick's symbolism and style, she'll look at you blank face and go "I like the action" Get it? Sorry for the long ass rant, just thought it was worth talking about
