I have been confronted by the Australian Government's choice to detain people who are rightfully seeking asylum on Australian shores. I wrote this song to express my confusion at this harsh and cruel response to an issue that is defining our time. After a clear, transparent and thorough process people seeking asylum should be welcomed to make Australia their home. This has been done before and it can be done again.
