Crumhorn is the solo project of multi-instrumentalist and sound-artist, George Worthy. A graduate of ANU’s School of Music (Canberra, Australia) and RMIT’s School of Art (Melbourne, Australia), George filters the classical and jazz influences of his formative years to produce the electro-acoustic soundscapes and songs of Crumhorn. Highly textured, and often ambient, Crumhorn relies heavily on improvisation and live electronic manipulation that lends itself to an inventiveness of form.
Crumhorn is George’s first solo outing, a project that celebrates his full expression as a multi-instrumentalist. Featuring classical and folk wind instruments, strings and percussion alongside an electronic array, Crumhorn is at once orchestral and electric.
