In the Silence - DePaul University School of Music Alumni Virtual Choir
Happy Holidays from the DePaul University School of Music Alumni Virtual Choir!
This is a beautiful piece that draws inspiration from "I Wonder as I Wander," using that tune as the basis of the clarinet obligato (played by Teresa Reilly), while the choir sings an original tune "In the Silence" by Craig Courtney with lyrics by Pamela Martin.
We decided to add one verse of IWAIW to the beginning, featuring solos by James Robinson-Parran, Joseph Baunoch, and Janai Brugger to set the table for the rest of the piece.
We hope you enjoy and share this with someone else!
This virtual choir was made in collaboration with Songalong.live

Ave Maria (Caccini) - DePaul University School of Music Alumni Virtual Choir
Переглядів 4534 роки тому
This Ave Maria was written by Giulio Caccini...or maybe not. MAYBE it was written by Vladimir Vavilov who "discovered" this piece in the 1970's. Either way, it is a beautiful piece. We hope you enjoy! Please check out our other virtual performances as well: ua-cam.com/play/PLSemfG0r_0lW26_8yIPAnTCkBvQEMk7Ub.html
The Seal Lullaby - DePaul University School of Music Alumni Virtual Choir

Our third project, and our first attempt at a "legit" piece. I've wanted to do this piece with a choir since the first time I heard this almost 10 years ago. It is breathtakingly beautiful in both melody and harmonic structure. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we did creating it! Seal Lullaby by Rudyard Kipling: Oh! Hush thee, my baby, the night is behind us, And black are the water...

Beautiful guys
Very beautiful, thank you.
Thank you! Please share.
hello there hammy
Beautiful! You sound like angels! <3
Oh! Hush thee, my baby, the night is behind us, And black are the waters that sparkled so green. The moon, o’er the combers, looks downward to find us, At rest in the hollows that rustle between. Where billow meets billow, then soft be thy pillow, Oh weary wee flipperling, curl at thy ease! The storm shall not wake thee, nor shark overtake thee, Asleep in the arms of the slow swinging seas!
bravo!
Thank you, and please share!
I'm an old lady and this has been one of my favorite songs for many years especially what is means now at this difficult time. Thank you, it made me cry.
Thank you so much. Please share this with someone else!
Great to see and hear so many DePaul alums singing together! Thanks for sharing!
Judy! So glad you saw this. This has been a great experience getting all these people together to make music again. I hope you enjoyed it.
This is horrific and in no way will I allow my kid to attend school here. They can't sing at all. They are not even professionals so it was a waste of a degree. But you're probably happy it paid your salary.
Lovely. Thank you. (DePaul Law, J.D. 1977, and proud aunt of Darel Middaugh)
