Welcome! I'm Jim and I started doing knife sharpening as a hobby several years ago for my own knives as well as those of friends and family. I primarily used stones for sharpening. Around October of 2024, I decided to turn my hobby into a side business and bought my first belt sander for sharpening. I set up a one page website and listed on Google business to start finding customers. I started getting some calls right away and although it was not a lot, it allowed me to progress at a good rate for me to get used to sharpening as a business. My short term plan is to use the earnings to purchase more equipment so as time goes on, I can expand the types of items I can sharpen. I decided to start this channel as a way to document my progress and I invite you to come along on the journey into a sharpening business.
