Many Christians believe that the "Restrainer" is the Holy Spirit" dwelling in the Bride (Church) and once the Bride is taken out of the way, then can the 'Falling Away" & Antichrist happen. But, according to what I've learned reading Michael Rood's "Mystery of Iniquity" , Satan is actually the Restrainer that has to be removed. I highly recommend getting Michael's book, he clears up a lot of misunderstandings that has been & is being taught in the pulpit.

We have seen that Satan does have a dominion that was his in the beginning with GOD, and an authority that was transferred to him by Adam. He uses that authority stealthily and ruthlessly to injure God by hurting his people. God is bound by his nature to be just, righteous, and loving. God cannot act in an unlawful manner to defeat Satan, even though Satan stands in absolute rebellion against him. God has committed all judgement into the hands of his Son (John 2:22). Messiah must rule until he has put down all authority and power in heaven and earth (1 Cor.15:24-28). The mystery of iniquity, Satan's lawlessness, has been shrouded. But now we begin to more fully understand the position that Satan maintains, and to which he holds fast-rights that was given before his rebellion, and the authority he secured by his conquest over Adam, subjugating the entire human race. Let us now look at the context of the mystery of iniquity. I’m in ny my mom was buried sat edand Monday my husband was in a bad motercycle accident please pray for us we can’t work I need his help I can’t do it I was injured last year..today they operated..I’m it’s really bad broken ribs broken leg broken arm plate in arm bruised lung other finger stitched it almost ripped off I’m praying so hard for the rapture. Can’t cry to my mom I’m heart broken. The bike was my husbands close brother that just died and I lost my birth dad too all in a month.
