@@proxy_server actually it does...that's the MOSFET is for...i have accidentally connected the battery backwordrs during repair and testing...There you can see my battery pack has the same yellow colour wires...but it doesn't short anything...in my kit it has the polarity protection...not sure about yours....

Yes ... Thank you for pointing out... That method make more sense.... rather then destroying pcb traces...but sometimes it's better to check for fault in no power condition to avoid farther damage...

Lots of antena designs are there... the thing will work best for you is use a single wire and put it in a very high place use some reinforcement or something long to elevate the height of the antenna and connect a piece of wire and you can get much more channels out of it and if you want to design specific type of antenna then you have to look it up on the internet and find what frequency you are looking for and find the best suitable antenna for it, generally go with dipole antenna which has medium gain because if are receiving Hai again signals then you may get noise also so it will restart your signal so I try to use medium gain Antennas and try to improve the reception part or the radio part more noise free then you can get much more clean a signal from a very distant source
