What being consistent on Youtube is really like… (as a small creator)
Переглядів 2342 місяці тому
Much to my own shock, I was able to pull off being consistent for 5 weeks straight. Here's that experience and what I learnt, that you can hopefully take away from it. Took a week break since, and started working on this right after for another week. Hope you like. See you again in 10 days! Get in touch! It’s okay to be unproductive sometimes. Here’s why.

We can all get too caught up in productivity, in worrying about what to do next, in feeling like we always have to perform at a high level. Some get forever stuck in the rat race. This is a reminder for all of us, the next chance you get, have a nice, unproductive day. Take the weight off your shoulders and rest for a day. Make the time when you can. Embrace your inner child. Have fun. Cheers G...

We all have those things we've always wanted to do. Dreams yet to come true because life is waiting on us to act. Do our part and start. Which can be scary to do. But our lives won't change if we don't choose to change how we do things. Start in the simplest way that you can, work with what you have instead of waiting on what you don't. Start now, and don't let anything that gets in the way sto...

Thank you as always Lubna!
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Well said! Nice Nicholas,I love you! God bless!
Thank you. I love you too!
Consistency is the key. You seem to have a very good grasp of what's needed. I expect to see your channel really blow up soon. Great work
good job with the work man trying it out is better than never having done it i am trying to build a youtube channel but i earn not enough money where i live here wage is like horrible trying to save to open a youtube channel myself i have been producing videos but i havent uploaded a single one i keep watching and deleting them i feel like i have to keep practicing because its super competetive and i need to buy a beter pc for editing so this video really helped
Thank you! I sympathise with the struggle and I’m happy to hear that despite that you’ve still made time to produce videos. You should definitely go for it and publish videos! You’ll get better faster by just diving in, I guarantee it. I used to only be able to make vids like this in 2-4 weeks, and now I can make videos in 3 days if I really wanted to, but that only happened because I dove in. Highly encourage you to get those videos out - they don’t have to be perfect to be a good enough start! 🍷
Absolutely love it
The Shootz himself. Thank you
hmmm my thought process rn is that maybe you CAN change….but maybe always revert back to who they were before ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ idk that’s what i believe rn
I talked about this before in an old video. You can change, but mostly only to the extent that you believe, and only in the ways that you believe. That’s likely reflective of why you almost always revert, is because you believe you always will. But in the end, that’s up to you. This video tackles the idea that you can’t put expectations to change anybody else apart from yourself. No one can change you unless you let them. Your change is up to you. And others’ change is their choice and journey.
So simplistic yet so wow. It really is just about lighting
Hahaha I wish. That’s a great place to start, but I’d also suggest getting into colour grading and using foreground elements for your shots! I have tutorials breaking down how I make videos here on the channel. Hope they help
@@NicholasLolin yeah no you are absolutely right. Grading, foreground, compositions, etc is important but no use when the camera cannot pick-up light. That was my mistake when I started out. My focus was least on my lighting hehe
@@KunaltriesAh yes haha! That’ll get ya. Sun’s your best friend man. Open up those windows and/or go outside and do your best to make it look good. Either that or buy some cheap LEDs/lamps haha. I did all these, I still do. Good luck!
Easily some of your best work yet!!! 🙌🏻🔥🎥 literally could be an opening to a Netflix original series.
High praise Tanner. Thank you as always! You’re a good friend

Im so proud of you!🔥 all your videos are truly amazing Nicholas
Aww thanks. You’re too sweet to me Lubna.
I started making a list of 2024 goals and I've been procrastinating I think that this is a motivation to start NOW. Thanks pardner Even if my end goals look or may seem big or too impossible to accomplish I think that if I start now, I'll eventually look back and say Damn. I did that.
Take that motivation and run with it, knowing it’ll run out eventually. In the meantime, while you have it, I hope you form habits and discipline to keep going even on days you don’t feel motivated.
Oh, I love that cameo! Thank you for sharing. A couple things came up for me after watching this. I need to tackle my finances and make sure I’m being wise about that, then consistency on UA-cam. I think I’m just gonna start by reposting reels and TikTok I’ve made before and start creating new kinds of content.
ill be cheering you on from the sidelines WHOOP WHOOOOOOP :)) LESSSGGOOOO

Video was genuinely a pleasing watch aesthetically and the advice given are very practical. I’m definitely going to try these out ❤️❤️
So happy to hear that! Thanks for the kind words. I’m excited for you - hope these work, and even more that you find things that specifically suit you 🍷

Yowww, I miss our conversation about life and this video just suddenly gave me comfort in my adversities in life. Ngl, it was emotional, and had a teary eye as if POV you are talking to me. What hit me the most was, "You are not alone in facing the problem of feeling like you have to show up everywhere, all the time, for everybody." We have talked about this, recovering from my people-pleasing tendencies now backfired me so badly, my energy has depleted, and have limited interactions with people. And, it brings me back to what you have said before about people and whom I hung out with. It seems to me we almost have the same values in a relationship, platonically and romantically, "...Just because I value the person alone. I love their presence. I love their company. They're just lovely to be around and I feel good when I am around them." It brings me back to your core advice, taking things slow, knowing myself, trusting myself, and taking a moment within myself. ✨ Miss yah bro! <3
Making you feel like I’m there with you is a goal with these videos so that’s a massive compliment. I’m also really happy to hear how much our conversations and my words have actually stuck with you. It means a lot. Thanks for leaving this here.
This content hits home! I tend to prioritize others before myself, it's tiring but thank you for reminding me that it's okay to prioritize oneself at times too. Cheers! (insert 12% alcohol wine)
I’m drinking 14.7 right now. HAHAHA And… yes… you do. To the point where I barely get to see you when I plan this for our Unwin(e/d) group. I hope you figure out a balance that results in the most fulfilment. See you soon(er rather than later)
This is a really beautiful message. I have a little group of people that I’ve decided aren’t really worth my time. Only because I’ve tried to connect with them and they’ve constantly put me on the back burner. I deserved to be treated like a priority, and not a second thought.
I’ve seen the group and “little” is definitely relative. I’m happy to witness you’ve got a good collective around you. Your friendships show their true colours when held up to the test of time, and it’s been nice to see how that’s been working out after knowing parts of where you’ve been before.
lol assumptions make an ass out of you and I. Little is a normal use of my brain. I say it in front of a lot of words just by normal. I have talked with other women I think it’s a church language tick. I’m working on eliminating for the pure purpose of communicating better.
WOW! It was amazing and so meaningful! THANK YOU ❤
Thank YOU! I’m glad you stumbled upon this and it met you where you are. Your words are very encouraging
this video came exactly on time. Nicholas you’re doing amazing, your hard work will pay off. Keep at it! Love from NC ❤️
Cannot understate how happy I am to hear you say this. Thank you Nina! Much love
Kak ijin pake videonya yahh kak maaf sebelumnya
Thank you for this motivating video. A great reminder for all us creators out there who sometimes feel stuck🙏
Lovely post my friend. Sometimes we stop doing simply because we have this idea of "accolades" being the 'why" if we don't get the recognition : we don't do it... I call it the "empty bucket of the ego" because that bucket never gets filled... becoming a toxic never ending cycle. perhaps rooted in the idea that we are not deserving... the self sabotaging layer. Doing it because we love it... because the experience in itself... because makes us fulfilled. When that freedom takes over :the fixation of having to be perfect, the best.. the know it all... the one that has all under control and can't make mistakes... that is when we can shine, create, transform. Be our true selves. the magic then is in the "doing and being" Looking forward your next post! Cheers! :)
Wonderfully put. Thank you for the kind words! Turn on notifications so you don’t miss the next. Cheers!
fuck it, I'll make that film. Thank you, subscribed

I think I at least know what you need sunlight to shoot a video. My personal preference is using backlighting...bc it just makes the scene ethereal :)))
Look man there are people out there that don’t even use the free lighting of the sun THEY EXIST HAHA

Holy shit love the way you graded these shots and especially the ones I shot for you at the lantern festival. SO SO CLEAN!!! Such a beautiful video! Cheers mate! 🎬👏🙌👌
OI OI You were such a massive carry with those clips! I was fully planning on filming alone but the fact that we ran into each other just made things even better. I’m glad you and your shots get to be a part of this. Thank you again Tanner
@@NicholasLolinDude you’re so welcome. It was quite a surprise to run into you at the festival but I’m glad I did. You’re a great friend man and I’m happy you enjoyed my shots.
I’m going through this right now with music. I’m trying to sound like everyone else and it’s causing intense burnout and less enjoyment out of composing. I’m definitely gonna try taking the advice from this video 👍
Trying to sound like everyone else could work to your advantage. You’ve done so many people’s sounds and formulas that if you synthesise your own off a combination of each bit you like from them then you just might find new life in the middle of a burnout
