Ok, I've been off the farm several decades, but back then silage was something you put in a silo, not chopped dry, nor baled. We called grass or legumes when baled dry, hay. So why or where does this term silage come into play with a hay baler? I've seen this term used in Australia in relation to baling hay. Silage goes with silo, no silo, no silage, it's just hay.???

@tomo5429 I'm not aware that you can turn the beep off and on. I find it stops me nodding off on a long day baling!

@tomo5429 Just take it steady till you get a feel for what the baler can cope with. I do get a bit of trouble in wettish crops with it catching behind the ram chamber scrapers. Means taking the plates out the side of the chamber and cleaning out. Also it would be a good idea to get a spare spring for the top and bottom string slacker arms as they have a habit of snapping and then the knotter won't tie.

@tomo5429 Get on very well with it. Only real problem I have is the PTO shaft which is the long version, going to look into fitting a support bearing half way down the shaft like the later models were fitted with.

@fastrac1135 good stuff, have the 235 myself and use a single rotor rake, replaced one chain this year

@endamc79 I reckon so to. It's on its second season now and has done 9000 bales to date and as yet has been very good. Everything I bale is raked with a twin rotor Pottinger so sometimes the rows are difficult to get under the tractor but the baler just eats it. It's a fast baler and produces a tight tidy bale . It's an Xtracut but with the upgraded bearings of the Profi.

@servo111 Hi, bale size is 80X90 and not had any problems with lack of power running the baler with the Fastrac but the engine has been opened up to 150hp

@fastrac1135 Hi, tell me what's the size of ball.. and something about fastrac power.. is this enough for this nh?

Yeah can see pickup no problem. In tight corners the lock can be a problem but overal pretty good on the baler.
