Loudoun ES-2000 Siren Test, Dawsonville, GA, 10/16/24
19 seconds of abysmal.
So, I had Wednesday off, and I decided to catch a Dawson County test, since nobody's recorded them in a while. I figured I should do the water tower unit, since that one looked the coolest. I've never heard one of these Loudoun's before, so I was interested as to what they heard like. When the clock struck 11:30, the siren wound up. Let me tell you, this one right here is no louder than a Model 2. That's likely due to it's height, being mounted so far up on the tower. However, it does carry far. I could also hear the unit across town winding down after this one finished the cycle. I'm not impressed, but I'm not disappointed either.

SCSM part 3 The 'Surprise Siren' for this year's meet happened to be a 'Jailbar' Thunderbolt that came from Knoxville, TN. This siren is owned by Justin Birchfiel, however he could not attend so Luke picked it up and brought it. Enjoy!

SCSM part 3 Owen (Sweet Tea Sirens) our good friend from Tennessee, showed up with this house-less Allertor in the back of his van. There was a phase converter at-the-ready to be used for it. This unit comes from Washington, D.C. Enjoy!

SCSM part 3 While Daniel and Luke were in Wisconsin for sirencon, they went to another enthusiast's house to go pick up a few siren parts, including this FS&S era 1003. It was swapped to run on a 4/5 port chopper for the meet. Enjoy!

first siren test of the year whoopee audio credit goes to my sister. thank her for this recording located at North Hall Middle School in Gainesville, GA. Apart of Hall County’s siren system. Siren is unit 01, and replaced a Modulator (now owned by Christopher Jansce) in 2018.

@@1000BT No, justin absolutely does. The wiring inside of the cabinet (of which was done by someone else) was not done exactly up to par as how it should’ve had. Mechanically, it does quite alright.
