[PR] 3.74 official clock average! (ft. fubuki plushie)
wow
WR39/CR12/NR11 as of 8/7/24 (wr39?!!? im literally Miku).
Almost two months ago, I dnfed out of a 3.85 wr35 nr11 average by one tick. In the description of the video, I explained my thoughts about the average and my mindset going into Westerns 2024. My thoughts ended with "Westerns is going to be crazy."
I'm glad to say that, indeed, Westerns was crazy, and I managed to achieve both of my major goals for the competition. Not only did I destroy the sub 4 barrier, but I also somehow became Western champion for clock (admittedly with a much worse average, but Western champion nonetheless.) To everyone who supported and inspired me on my clock journey, thank you.
thanks to Lorenzo & Dante for being extremely supportive of me at every competition
thanks to Ethan, Joel, Luis, Taj, and Vini for making Westerns one of the best comps I've ever been to (clock table yippee) (also keep practicing clock)
thanks to my dad for driving, filming, and overall just enabling me to do things that I love
and thanks to the many more people that I'm probably forgetting (sorry in advance)
uh
(I'm trying to think of something really profound to say but I'm failing)

[PR] 7.63 official 3x3 average but I didn't realize
Переглядів 1,2 тис.2 місяці тому
7.74, 7.53, (8.87), 7.63, (7.49) at least it's PR I guess I think what caused me to have no reaction was because most of my PR averages have had 3 pretty good solves and 2 bad solves (I've counted 9s and 8s in basically all of my sub 8 averages except recently). Since this average had pretty mid solves, I didn't think I was on pace for PR, so I was able to perform the last solve with no nerves....
[PR] 58.84 5x5 single! (first sub 1)
Переглядів 4852 місяці тому
5x5 yo Normally I wouldn’t upload a 5x5 pr, but I decided to upload it anyway because it’s kinda crazy how this solve happened. A little backstory, my 5x5 PB single was a 1:01 using a phone timer from a few weeks ago, so I still hadn’t gotten a sub 1 single prior to this comp. The day of the comp, I got not one sub 1 single, but two. The first one happened while I was warming up a few minutes b...

Not bad for 4 attempts. Sub one man world best at least. Joel recorded our 2:22 on cam, which luckily didn't have the camera fall over. ua-cam.com/video/ZZNc1qni-gY/v-deo.htmlsi=Y13AOCukbuxnN9Od Competition: Agoura Cubing Returns 2024 WCA Profile: www.worldcubeassociation.org/persons/2020YEHE01 Thanks for watching! #speedcubing yes I know I spelled Guildford wrong oops
[PR] 4.14 official clock average (tragic)
Переглядів 4273 місяці тому
Not sub 4. 3.86 average without DNF, nr11 wr35 fail small rant incoming (not small actually oops) I didn't really know how to feel about this average. On one hand, it's PR by a decent margin, and it's overall not a bad average. However, there were two (kinda) major mistakes that cost me sub 4, so this result felts a little bittersweet knowing what could've been. The first mistake was on the sec...

5.06 and 4.49 PR clock averages + 3.59 PR single! (ft. anime clock)
Переглядів 4635 місяців тому
First place in clock at Santa Barbara Cubing 2024 Wow, that just happened. Not too sure what to even say about this, other than I'm insanely happy with these solves. Prior to this comp my PR average was still a 13 from a year ago, so I was hoping just to not DNF like I did a few months ago at my 7simul debut. I guess I succeeded. Thanks to my dad for recording all of the solves and driving me t...

Rubik's Cube solved in 4.98 seconds! reconstruction
thanks bro, youre amazing
aa now i wanna make a teto clock too but i dont have a colour printer Great tutorial btw!
This is an awesome video and really helped me. Would it be okay if I were to sell custom inserts using your download?
I appreciate you asking first! As long as you credit this video as your source than I'm okay with it. I wouldn't be able to do much to stop you anyway :p
@@アックサ Ok great thanks!
Is this competition legal?
@@TheWhippedCreamCuber Yes, although if you're thinking of making some, I would recommend using my new tutorial as this one is outdated.
Ok, thank you
lol, also what’s your fav anime? Or vocoloid
@@KPsucksatcfop1567 Oshi no Ko is my favorite. Also Bocchi the Rock, Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, TBHK. I love mmmikuu. (Teto too) Most importantly, I'm a hoshiyomi. (search it up if u don't know)
@@アックサMiku is love miku is life also W that you like Oshi no ko
What are you doing bro 🤦♂️ you have to lock in or Mrs. Zoest gonna give you an F on notes
I didn’t know you listened to Oshi no ko season two op, that song is 🔥🔥🔥
I have a 3.73
As a speedcuber its so relatable when your trying to study for school but you see your cubes right beside you and your timer........
Does WCA allow this in comps?
Yes, it's wca legal.
@@アックサ hell yeah. I’ll try to get mine ready for my comp next month.
I love anime
now i want a clock just to customize it
the best part is the fto and clonks lol
勉強中にまで聞くとは素晴らしいですね❤
本当に素晴らしいですね! 日本語のコメントをもらったのは初めてですから、嬉しいです。 (I hope my Japanese is okay, I've only been studying for a little bit)
are you play osu ?
Indeed
I swear I'm a good AP student.
Can I custom the Sengso Clock by following ur tutorial on the Qiyi one?
setup?
Thanks to you, I can now make a blue waffle clock! 🥰
trying to do this with the shengshou to give as a gift to my bf do you have any idea what the dimesnions are?
Unfortunately I don't know the shengshou clock dimensions sorry :( I'm pretty sure there are other templates for older clocks somewhere online (maybe on Reddit?) so I'd probably search there. In any case, good luck with the inserts, and great gift idea! ☺️
bro graham siggins as your judge
how to do it on Mac
YOOOOOOOO What do you global rn?

SLIDING INTO THAT W!!!!
It’s not a slide
gg this is crazy you are insane at clock
yeeeeeeeee loved watching this live and (attempting to) commentate it lol, well done!
(more thoughts on the actual solves) I'm extremely happy with how I was able to handle my nerves throughout this average. I'd been working on a new strat for nerve control, and it definitely seemed to have worked throughout this comp. (might actually make a video on this) The scrambles were also pretty decent; I think 4/5 solves had at least one center edge skip which allowed me to skip the first D move. Solves 2 and 5 were really lucky, although I wasn't able to capitalize on them due to mistakes. Solve 2 was a 6 simul, but I made a misturn and had to correct it midway through the solve. Solve 5 had 3 center edge skips which could have been 6 simul as well had I known the 7s variant; unfortunately I misturned again but this one was more minor. Both of these had potential to be a sub 3 solve, so there's still plenty of room for improvement.
Is the strategy clock-specific or no? I do good at most events in comp except for clock
some of my warmup is clock specific, but I guess it could be applied to other events as well
Congrats! Pure sub 4 is madness!
Can’t even tell you how happy I was to see this on stream. Sub 4 is real, 4.14 is dead. Congrats 🎉
So happy to get to witness this, huge huge congratulations!
I can't tell you how excited it was watching this on stream!! I'm so happy for you Ethan and excited where you keep going with clock!

pro
already locking in sub 4 after the 4th solve and then getting PR single on the last solve is crazy, no more counting high 4 :D
COMG
What is this game? Not trying to be rude, I've never seen whatever this is.
This is a Rubik's clock, a type of twisty puzzle with 9 dials on each face that must be oriented to their 12 'o' clock "solved" positions. The video clip featured was taken at the Rubik's cube Western Championship held in San Diego a few days ago.
Yay
how do u do memo
(taken from Tommy Cherry's tutorial) Condensed Written Tutorial: Memo: Letter 1: c-d Letter 2: (dr-r) + (U-L) Letter 3: L-U (opposite of U-L) Letter 4: d-r Letter 5: UR-U+C-D+l-ul+r OR -[(U-C+D) + (ul-l) + (dr-r)] Letter 6: (u-c+d) + (UL-L) + (DR-R) Execution: dl - letter 1 with left hand (down pins), letter 2 with right hand (up pins) R - letter 4 with left hand (down pins), letter 3 with right hand (up pins) Note that this move is the exception to the “first letter with left hand” rule DR - make the 2x2 UL block intuitively \ - letter 5 with left hand (up pins), letter 6 with right hand (down pins) UL - make the 3x2 L block intuitively L - match everything except for the UR corner intuitively ur - solve the rest of the clock intuitively
@@アックサ wish i had actual good memory to do this
@@cuberanime honestly it's not too bad after practicing for a while, and there's also 7sf that has much easier memo if 7s is too much.
@@アックサ alr
@@アックサ might learn it if i've got the dedication and time
congrats on western champion, and huge congrats on sub-4 in r1 as well!
