I thought the pacing, detail and character interactions were perfect. I have nothing negative to say about it, and i can see why it's regarded an absolute Classic! Mary Shelley did a fantastic job i think. I love how she flips the whole 'monster' concept, making society to be the true monsters in many ways. The creature basically driven to violence by the cold, hateful society around him. I do often wonder what the folks at the time thought of this story. I bet Mary made a LOT of 'delicate ladies' faint by the mere idea. Shelley-"Yeah, i'm gonna write a novel about a mad scientist who creates a man from dug up body parts." Delicate lady-"Oh my goodness. I have never heard anything in all my days. Where are my smelling salts? (Faints with hand on head) 😂
