I hated Mary’s hair this season. It wasn’t even in style in 1975.

They keep bringing up Robert Redford, as an ideal of male attractiveness, in a number of episodes. Mary shouldn't worry. She will meet Robert Redford in a couple of years. He will direct her in the great film, Ordinary People. They seemed to get along quite well.

Georgia Engel was so great doing that "Steam Heat" song and dance number, as Georgette Baxter. She really got to show off some hidden talents. I also liked her as Pat McDougall, Amy's mother, on Everybody Loves Raymond. She was a complex person. Full of contradictions.

I would cry right along with Mary, if I realized that Mr. Grant wasn't going to be my Uncle Lou. I just love Lou Grant.

Where the Hell is the ending to the first episode?

The episode where Ted tries to date Mary, and it almost becomes date rape, is just horrible. It casts Ted Baxter in a monster role, and the perception of him may be changed forever. He becomes an entitled slimeball, in the way that Harvey Weinstein does, approximately 20 years later.

What's the matter with you you cut off the Indians which include the opening credits and then your silence Mary Tyler Moore singing?!? Now we have no idea what Lou is talking about when he says he fell for it. Maybe I'll need to take a class and editing comedy

I'll be darned, Lou has a window in his office. He can actually see outside.

At the end of the episode with Sue Anne's sister, there is a blooper. Near the end of the episode (before it cuts out too early), in Sue Anne's bedroom, the camera pulls back too far. We then see the edge of the carpeting, and a dark tile floor. Sue Anne's bedroom walls also disappear into open, dark space.

Sue Ann doesn't have a southern accent. So why does her sister Lila have one?

the fantasy sequences reminded me so much of the skits that they used to do on the Carol Burnett show "As the Stomach Turns" 🤣

Man you blew it again! I know the episode where Sue wins the award. Her transformation from crying and feeling miserable to complete smiles and Joyce is hilarious. Again by cutting off the real ending and instead dedicating 30 seconds to repeating the opening credits you have totally destroyed the storyline and the true nature of the characters. Why can't you fix this?

Only now, at 81, do I see the Mary Tyler Moore show as more than just a corny comedy. First, not only does Mary drink hard liquor, but keeps it at her home for guests. She's a sexual woman, not a prude, or coy about it. But mainly, she is a very nice and tolerant person. when most of us would blow up at someone's rudeness or obnoxious personality, she's cool, gracious, and forgiving toward them. She's a great role model for us all. Thank you, Mary Tyler Moore.

Why did you have to cut off the endings ? tremendously frustrating because there's always a last important moment to wrap up the story. You show a 20-minute story and you leave off the punchline

totally white rooms were really popular in the early 1970's - 1972-1973 ,if my memory serves me. I always liked the white and chrome furniture, and lamps, but it would have been a pain to keep clean. especially if you had kids. unless they were little Tony Randell's 😁
