The US needs renewable diesel to decarbonize the transport sector. We need to increase the production of renewable diesel to meet net zero emissions. Soybean meal for feeding livestock is co-produced alongside soybean oil so land use is not an issue.
Doesn’t FAME get fewer credits because of the nonrenewable methanol feedstock?
At around 8:45 you stated that it would require 8MM acres of soybeans to supply oil for the full production needs for the capacity that had been added. Did you mean 80MM acres?
You are correct. I made a mistake in the presentation. Should be closer to your number. I would probably use 60 million acres. Thanks so much for letting me know.

Thanks for the informative video😍👏.....I think BTC and ETH are more likely to retest resistance on the upside and then head lower. But as always, the situation changes every day and all we can do is trade responsibly, monitor the markets and re-evaluate our strategies frequently. I want to thank you, Bronwen Michael, for giving me education on cryptocurrencies because I have comfortably made 9.7 BTC...✊✊✊✊✊
Please how should I do this, I am still new to investment trading and how can I make money?🙏
He is on Telegram 🚀🚀

Thanks for the information.....🌷
Honestly a lot of crypto investors don"t understand the potentials and benefits of cryptos investment they think the only way to make profits is just by holding.
Excellent presentation!

Why are we not pushing for e-30 94 octane ethanol no mpg difference and you do not need a flex to use it.
Thankyou Gentlemen!!!
I would like to know what do you think about sorghum for bio-fuel, information on this would be great.
@@miracletimberlake9202 you can make bio-fuel out of anything. The problem is bulk.

Given a choice, I am very certain China prefer buy soybean from other suppliers. Soybean farmers in US must face reality.
corn yum yum
Very informative. Wondering how this is playing out halfway through 2024. Other than Exxon's backpedaling on renewable diesel, have any other players been affected?
Thank you very much for uploading this webinar it has been exceedingly helpful!
How to order soybean meal
I’ve got hairs on my stem???
You share these data openly cannot solve your worries, you have to ask your national agricultural officers for action in order to save your livelihood.
Hello, I hope you are having a good time. I am a professional digital marketer. I can grow any kind of social media service and UA-cam channel organically. I would like to talk to you about your UA-cam video SEO and Channel Monetization.
the best thing for Brazillians farmers is they don't need to do anything to sell to China. American politicians is the one pushing china to buy from Brazil
so
Why is the U.S. exporting soybeans to China? I will write my congressman about this.
Thank you
Lets remember that China has had swineflu and that US is avstrategic enemy. And that pigs eat soybeans. Would you trust US.
Boycott USA
What is the US doing against Brazil in soya beans? They're losing ground and will fade away pretty soon! 😊😊😊
It's a global market.
China should boycott US products or at least put tariffs on them
Why bother , Sanctions are applied by losers . There are alternatives . Willing buyer willing seller . Win Win . Except China wanted to dispose off US " D "
The US market is really important for the Chinese economy
That was a good overview, thanks.
Thank you for watching!
US ban soybean export to China which nourish the dragon becoming world superpower - the greatest threat to america 🤣
Most, if not all, soybeans from Brazil or the US are mainly used for animal feed. As the standard of living increases, the appetitive of pigs is also increased rapidly.
@@yunko9369*:* Soybean is used to feed cattle and poultry.
When did US ban export?
@@ArchsStanton I know it is for animal feed, but not sure used in feeding cattles.
@@luting3No actual ban. But the US keeps insulting China and branding it an "enemy". Do you really think China is going to buy US stuff?
Well done Brazil. Hope your agricultural sector flourish further
Thanks for watching, Calvin!
Oh it will. Brazil is now a moderate producer of wheat as well mainly in south brazil because better climate for wheat but they are trying to increase production to become a net exporter of wheat by the next 10 years. Brazil is already becoming a significant producer of wheat. But they're trying to create a variety that can within warmer climates. Brazil went from a minor producer and exporter of corn and soy to becoming the number one exporter of both the past few years. So trust me they'll achieve that with wheat as well.
China will only support and buy from their true friend country like Brazil
brazil support sell soyabean to china
"trade war are easy to win" LOL :)
Brazil surpassed the US in corn exports in 2023
Love this resource!
Thanks!
I am just curious about what diesel market price was the webinar talking about, especially when it referred to the diesel market price in California. I know for sure that the diesel price in California is roughly 2 dollars more expensive than the price in Texas for example. Is this gap due to California State is selling just Renewable Diesel at the gas stations?
California taxes.
Thank you for this quick update
Thanks Scott, very useful information
Thanks Scott and Farmdoc, great webinar.
Why is $12,000 land the norm?? It should go back to price level with $3.75 corn. $4000 per acre with 6% interest also brings land down.
JOana is great.
Lol the best way , too get ahead in Illinois was too sell what you have in Illinois and buy somewhere else
Only one month ago, this was done by human being.
Don't worry, the humans have not all go away. :-) This week we had the 2024 Illinois Farm Economic Summit meeting so no one was available to record the 5-minute farmdoc videos which are abridged versions of the farmdoc daily articles. I decided to run an experiment in which we use AI to read the entire farmdoc daily article and run the series as a farmdoc daily podcast. Pros: 1. Content not restricted to availability of authors that are willing to record 5-minute farmdoc videos 2. Full article content so people may listen to entire article instead of an abridged version 3. More options for people to receive the farmdoc daily content Cons: 1. AI voice is not as good as a human voice even if it is much better than it was a few years ago 2. Additional work for farmdoc team The question we are trying to answer is if the effort is worth the results. Current estimate is that we may be able to produce an additional 50+ videos a year and still maintain the 5-minute farmdoc videos. What are your thoughts?
@@farmdoc im a content creator who also works 12 to 14 hour hours a day at my 9-5. I get that that doesn’t make sense but neither did this sentence. Reading out loud is much more difficult and so is editing it if there are errors or re-reads. Editing is already done by computers so why not the voice too, but at what point are we the content creators not creating anything? For what you are doing, text to speech accomplishes your goal. My polish friend whos a youtuber also, he is starting to use AI to do his english speaking youtube voice. His accent is so thick that it will most likely help him reach more English speakers. Long and winding response on my end. Sorry about that. Many hear an AI voice and assume its a chinese bot.
AI is everywhere. I'm scared. Hold me.
