John Mayer ‘s “Ravioli Shoes” Series 🤣
The full series of John Mayer ‘s hit single “Ravioli Shoes”. 🤣
Gonna be honest with you. I miss this era of John so much! Using his skills to entertain his audience on social media. It’s funny, quirky, insightful, well executed and clever. I mean, he even had lighters made for the love of this bit.
Reminds me of his IG show Current Mood.
He put so much time and effort in that show. *Sighs Out Loud*

John Mayer Throughout the Years
Переглядів 8333 місяці тому
John Mayer throughout the years. You can just see him grow older and wiser. Watching this video I felt a shift around the Born & Raised era. Most of his life he has been sharing his talent to write music, sing and (most of all) to play the guitar. We’ve all grown older together in someway. Even if you are not that much of a fan of John’s, there could be a JM song/moment that is linked to a cert...

I was super skeptical about John leading the Dead but I only knew about his pop career in the 90s. But he has more than won me over. He’s a musical genius and arguably one of the best singer guitarists ever

Also, the fact that it ends up rhyming on "some how you got through it" makes the thought of getting through something tough feel even better while thinking of it. The rhyming resolve makes the musical resolve that much better and visa versa.

I just started playing bass and slow dancing was one of the first songs I learned. It's really simple, but brilliant and incredibly fun to play. totally changed the way I see the song too

This is something a lot of musicians spend most of their lives never learning. Music is diverse. There might be certain recommended guidelines, but it's still an art form. You can bend and break rules and still make something sound beautiful. John is one of many artists who use this as a tool rather than a restriction.

Many videos comment on how great other musicians's songs are. Only John Mayer can make a video on why his songs are great. 😂

So useful. Thank you. In one of his videos, John talked about learning a riff and then reverse engineering it. Why does it work? This is perfect for players with knowledge, but trying to learn how things fit together. Fantastic.

Imperfect rhyming will result to a more rare and more genuine lyric and sound because you can carelessly tell or sing every word you like, there are no rules. Also Its not for the ears of masses and thats what uniqueness means like this song.

I’m 38 and have been a huge fan of John Mayer since I was in high school! I’m so grateful he’s still producing music. His older songs fill me with such nostalgia, driving the same country roads listening to the same music as I did when I was 16. Makes me happy and grateful to be alive 😊

Except it does rhyme. Not consonantly, but assonantly. Lots of musicians know about this trick and the fact that meaning is way more important than perfect rhymes

For a more pro skills (only if you master pentatonic and the modes) is working in grade substitutions, in this case C# is the iii from A so it sounds like Amaj7, C# also is the relative vi from E and it sounds like the E scale itself

    • @lukaskuipers7791
      @lukaskuipers7791 13 днів тому

The key is E major which makes C#- the VI chord which has a tonic function. Don't play Amaj7 over it, the A makes a b6 onto the C#- which spoils the cadence to A.
