On July 19, 2023 while walking my dog I spotted a large bird in a tree. When I got close to it I noticed it was hanging from a fishing line. I called 911 and asked to be transferred to Fire Department. They came and got him down. She hurt he left wing and her leg.

...and not Staubach, Morton or Meredith noted how much #22 Bullet Bob Hayes meant for their passing statistics. I mean, 25 yards per catch!!!...
Meredith looks a lot older than he probably was at the time of this presentation.
Meredith was so underrated...he was a great player ..played on some bad teams early...but was as good as anyone in his era
Legends sll if them
Bob Lilly was the #1 Cowboy of all-time. Even Landry said that.
Yes, Bob Lilly was the best defensive tackle ever and a gentleman on and off of the field.
Mr. Cowboy to us.
I seem to remember hearing a former Dallas Cowboy player talking about watching a post game film with the entire team after a big win. He said that Coach Landry verbally eviscerated the team during and after the game film session and afterwards everyone felt like they had lost the game 98-0. He then said it was not whether we won or lost. But who got the blame.
Jeff and Hazels Baby Boy
Before Danny White, and Staubach, even before MEREDITH, there was a QB that Coach LANDRY would alternate with Dandy-Don Meredith, on every play coach would send in every play with the QB. That QB was EDDIE LABARON!. 5'9" and this guy was outstanding, considering everyone else towered over him. But he never gets mentioned. "EDDIE LA-BARON".
That was great, the N.Y. Jets should consider inviting back their best QB's.....both of them
Eddie LaBaron
Great video and some real talent on the stage. Although, I'm not sure what Craig Morton is doing there? He had an even less successful stint as the Giants QB!
But strangely he faced the Cowboys in the Super Bowl with Denver ,where the Broncos were trounced.
Craig Morton was an outstanding quarterback. He took the Cowboys to Super Bowl V and came close to winning. He suffered from severe injuries to his shoulder during the latter half of the season and still was effective. He later quarterbacked the Denver Broncos to the Super Bowl as he won the Offensive Player of the Year Award for the AFC.
Loved the Cowboys until the new owner changed things. Will never forgive the SOB for firing Tom Landry
I completely agree!!!
As a young boy who grew up in Fort Worth during the early 1960’s, Don Meredith was always my favorite Cowboy QB!
Don playing for Switzer, Irvin would have been bailing those two out of jail.
You can see Roger’s competitive spirit come out on a ping pong game from 50 years ago 😳
Didnt Roger Staubach meet JFK?
Where’s ROMO?!? Jk I know that this was recorded back in the day, so Romo had not played for the Cowboys at that point.
What a gem of a vdeo. Getting these guys together in one place is a joy to watch.
Look, I truly want Dak to win a Super Bowl, hopefully more, but you have to earn being on this list. I believe Dak knows that but many people have no clue. Danny White got the team to a couple NFC Title games. Craig Morton probably would have had a ring in Dallas except Roger Staubach showed up! Don Meredith had a crap show around him and the franchise was just starting. Still Don was great. This is an elite group of QB’s! I hope that lites a fire under Dak to go get this franchise a couple more trophies!
RIP QB So hilarious!! Mr. Meredith is so missed! ugh
Lololololololol
What a great event to attend. Can we post the complete show, not edited?
Can you do Macy's 96th Thanksgiving day parade November 24 2022 Please
Awsome !
Have always admired Walt Garrison. He was a real cowboy and a tough one at that.
Those great times and memories will never come again. For us old enough to remember, we were Truly blessed
There was only one Dandy Don. Most people my age (55) only know him from MNF but he was a hell of a QB. Coach Landry once said he was the toughest competitor he ever coached. He could’ve played more years, he was only 31 when he retired.
Don was to me the Dallas Cowboys. He made the Cowboys what they are today.
Danny White..? You've GOT to be joking.....
In 2003? Who else do you think was going to be there? Gary Hogeboom? Steve Pelleur? Danny White had just about as much success as Craig Morton and a lot longer career with the team. Until Romo came along it was Danny that held most of the career passing records for Dallas too.
Roger should have suggested in 1979 to draft Joe Montana to see how Danny would have reacted
Funny thing is that the team could have drafted Dan Marino in 1983. Dan was still on the board when Jeffcoat was taken in the first round. Jeffcoat turned out to be a fantastic D Lineman and was a quality pick but can you imagine what might have been with Marino wearing the Star? What might it have looked like with Marino under center in 86 after Danny was lost for the season instead of Steve Pelleur. What might have been if it was Marino in a QB controversy instead of Hogeboom. Of all the draft day foul ups in the early to mid 80s the worst one absolutely has to be not taking Marino whether they thought they needed a quality QB or not. His trade value alone would have been worth taking him.
Dallas legends. I grew up in Dallas rooting for them and remain a Cowboys loyal. Where can we see the whole recording of this event? Can you post more of it? Fantastic stuff!!
😎🏈🌟👏🤌YES INDEED D.H., this ISSS a treasure & I TOO would love to watch the whole show!!
Dak Prescott needs to watch this video and learn what it takes to be a REAL DALLAS COWBOY QUARTERBACK
Aikman and Staubach the true heroes. Meredith and LeBaron the forerunners. White and Romo the salty ones. Morton for Denver Broncos.
Got to give it to Roger Staubach, you and Joe Montanna are the best Quarterbacks to ever play the game. Yeah, better than Terry Bradshaw, he's the next best.
Green Bay Packers fan since 1965. 13 championships; including 4 of the same game with a new name.
Good for the Packers.
Love Don. I was fortunate enough to have a Dad who took me to a couple of practices, a few games in the Cotton Bowl, and a Cowboy Banquet all between 1966- 1969. All when I was 8- to 11/12-year-old. I will never forget those memories.
Boy, as a lifelong packer fan, I do indeed wish he was a Green Bay Packer, but that is besides the point, Dandy Don Meredith, was a real Gent! We don't see these kind of fellows anymore. See you in Heaven sir. Rip
You can see the "other" side of Mr. Perfect when Danny was talking about Staubach not competing at anything unless he KNEW he would win...That's 100% correct and you could tell he was not happy with that truth. One of the reasons I never bought Staubach's "image". White was a lot better "guy".
Especially when Roger said "I told Coach Landry to keep Longeley by the way". That right there is a very vindictive spirit.
But Roger was a winner (and a gentleman) and that came out on the field.
Yep, Dandy Don to Roger the Dodger to Troy Boy the Cowboys always seem to find gems at quarterback.
Sadly though, not anymore 😓. Good teams and good times were over when Jimmy Johnson left.
great stuff...thanks for the upload...
Seeing these icons on stage together just took me back to some wonderful times in my life, from Dandy Don to Troy...when the NFL was about watching your favorite players strive for the big one and not so much about the big bucks. How I wish we could go back to that kind of football. RIP Dandy Don, loved you.
Don Meredith was priceless. Hats off to Danny White for taking a crack at Roger Staubach. Nobody else would have the balls to do that on TV.
Joe Montana and Roger Staubach are the two greatest quarterbacks to play in the NFL! Tied for 1st position.
I loved watching Don Meredith tough man and a great it's really really sad he did not win the big game I will always remember DON MEREDITH started watching him play when I was 11 years old in 65
This is how Cowboys fans revere their quarterbacks: #1 Roger Staubach, #2 Troy Aikman, #3 Don Meridith, #4 All the rest.
I would have Roger at 1, Dandy Don at a close 2nd, Troy Aikman at 3, Craig Morton at 4 but with the understanding that he would have been higher if not for injuries, Danny White at 5. Danny White had outstanding ability but for some reason wasn't able to lead the team as effectively.
Danny White, such an underrated qb.
Better than Dak imo. 3 nfc championship appearances.........consecutive.
Better than Dak but not enough to measure up to the big two
@@raprockscarlett Mentioning Dak in the same breath with ANY of those QBs is assinine. He's more in the category of Jason Garrett and not even as good as Romo although he's about the same "choke" in big games.
My favorite until Tony Romo
@@steveludwig4200 Tony Romo is an elite QB
Didn’t Tom Landry draft Troy Aikman? Then unceremoniously fired by Jerry Jones. We’re from Fort Worth and our family stopped being Cowboy fans after that. Landry was an NFL legend, Jones should’ve allowed the WWII vet hero to retire with a little dignity. Dad lived and breathed Cowboy’s football since inception in 1960. He never watched another Cowboy game. RIP Dad, Dandy Don and Coach Landry
No, Tom Landry did not draft Troy Aikman but he did draft Michael Irvin in his last draft as the Dallas Cowboys head coach in 1988 which would turn out to be the first big piece of the puzzle to rebuilding the Cowboys to the dynasty they became in the 90's. Jimmy Johnson drafted Troy, Emmitt Smith and the rest of the players that went on to win the Superbowl's in the 90's. Coach Landry did draft Hershel Walker who also gets credit for helping the Cowboys back to the top of the NFL. Tom Landry and Jimmy Johnson will always be the best coaches Dallas ever had.
@@buddylove346 Landry and Cowboys planned to draft Aikman in ‘89 draft. Jones fired Landry in Feb and Aikman was drafted in April as planned. Aikman was Landry’s choice. Jimmy Hairdo inherited a good one.
@@dashriprock9092 Yes, coach Landry said he watched Troy play in the Cotton bowl and was impressed with him but just did not get the chance to draft him so like I said Troy was drafted by Jimmy & Jerry.
@@buddylove346 Like I said, Landry and the Cowboys Organization already planned to draft Aikman; contract discussions were underway. It all didn’t just happen on draft day.
@@dashriprock9092 www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1989-01-04-sp-344-story.html
This was filmed in the fall of 2003 at Texas Stadium and was a charity dinner where you could meet all the QBs and get the signed poster in the background
in the ninth year of my young life, I saw Dandy Don on the tv show I knew I was hooked and told my two older brothers who were for the New York Giants and the Green Bay Packers, the oldest and tallest went for you guess it the giants, and my middle is just a cheesehead, good looks and made good in life whereas I have been to more Super Bowls then theirs combined, plus lead division, conferences and plus we are AMERICA'S TEAM not resting on anything but facts,
?
when was this? Looks like Aikman was young enough to still be on the team...
2003 apparently. Aikman had just retired a couple of years previously and I honestly can't remember if he was announcing games yet but clearly it was on his mind based on his question to Meredith.
