Maybe im just missing some factors, but i find it odd how in your pod both you and jb harped about how you were going to pull for him and talked bout his strengths and what he can bring to the game, only to make a guide where you dont recommend pulling for him? Is it in the sense of like "worse case you have to hard pity, hes not worth that effort." Or is he not recommended because of stats, which again in your pod you talked about how good he was.

You guys forgot to point about Unit Element Disvantage/Advantage. On damage formula FIRE has 1.25 final multiplier vs ICE FIRE has 0.75 final multiplier vs WATER. I'm not talking about the elemental resistence, i'm talking about mew's damage formula This is your own video showing this on step7: ua-cam.com/video/CEiA8Kgjv_0/v-deo.html So this ARENA "balance" this kind of multiplier too, so we do not have a elemental flip, just a full balance fight.

That being said, I somewhat disagree with majority of what you guys talked about regarding Gilgamesh's Commander effects. I 100% agree with it regarding the skill, but for the other effects, I think it is absolutely amazing, especially with what is coming up. Rather than splitting the effect between element and job, it's all in 1. So a 120 Gilg is giving all Greatsword and Black Mage jobs +10 AP, +15 Accuracy, +20% acquired AP, +10 SPR, +20% Chain Resist, +10 Crit Evade (+40 for first 5 turns of combat), and +25% HP for first 5 turns of combat. Upcoming Mont, AC Cloud, D. Veritas, Paine, upcoming Exdeath, and Shrek all say THANK YOU! for this buff. The only downside to it, other than the Pierce attack is that it's Duels only.

Usually a rerun or unit upgrade has limit burst upgraded. When i was scrolling the abilities to upgrade the limit burst, i just realized Thancred has no limit burst 😂

So easy to catch up with the game as they release at least 2 units that go well together in the same time or next to each other together with vc. So easy to reroll, like a minute or two. The magicites are now farmable and selector of maxed vc and units make it easier for new and returnee. You can even get both rewards for new account if u rest it for 14 days. Even the update of tokens is a great help for newbie so u dont need to wait for another month to use them. The only annoying thing is the raid equipment, so hard to catch up on previous materials and recipe themselves. Sometimes, a raid will pop up but those that you need are not even featured which sucks even more, but you can play competitively in arena in like top 100 if u know what you are doing. I tried it myself on a new account almost f2p, the raid is the huge drawback. And hope they give more banners/rewards where u can get more vc selectors/shards for older vcs like the previous holidays.

I think he is still behind, I tried using him at 20 reincarnation and he goes down quite easily, of course I dont have the latest vision cards for his class so that may be it.

I am surprised he is quite tough… Dude is an Assault unit, he literally can go in front of you instantly

Hey RPW, thanks for the review! Appreciate the breakdown, very interesting that the Bale Gauntlet is a good option! Since it seems like Thancred benefits significantly from stacking accuracy, I was wondering, does high accuracy have much use outside of PvP content? As far as I'm aware the primary use of it is for countering evade.

I wanna still run my gunner team but even with a lot of accuracy, I run into issues with Yuna missing even with very high accuracy (usually around 150). I always hit with Jayden but she misses a little too often than what the math I'm bringing would suggest. Running thancred and moving to a light gunner team with Jayden as a commander for the 15 extra accuracy on Yuna and Light Veritas has been killing evasion for me. LV isn't as good as Jayden but it works better so that I have multiple units hitting at a very high rate instead of just one.

I don't know if you forgot about it, but his Magic Reflex activation rate is dependent on Faith Value, so if you 30 Faith him, his Reflex activation rate is 6%, that's before any reaction block to reduce it further. I don't think it still worth it using that, not that he has any better Counter option.

I was shocked the first time I ran into him in free match. Running a fully reincarnated Gilgamesh with Yuna and Jayden and got rolled by Thancred, Cloud, and Yuna, and Thancred ate up an entire round of attacks from my team

free strong units will earn gumi some good will. We don't need it to be top tier for us to appreciate it. Recent QoL's have been very nice but please gumi. IMPROVE the gacha system/pity system. This is a gacha game but I always feel bad when I'm pulling. I hope at least they give you the unit instead so you could keep the tokens for the shards. Spending 35-40k to pity for a unit makes a lot of players feel bad and quit. We spend on the game if we feel good on playing it, but pitying every unit takes away my will to play and spend on this gane. Always thank u Will for the great informative content

He's fun, I like his buffs and Blasting Zone 2. I wish he had some support like LB and maybe a tweak on his skills to have better range. He is way too slow, but hilariously pretty tanky to survive missile teams running rampart at the moment, so helps my Yuna be a super backliner.

Minor point but red mage is missing from fundamental forces on your chart. It's a good one because it helps add Agrias and Gilgamesh as options to protect against Shrek.
