Billy Treacy is an Irish Folk Singer/Songwriter who grew up in the inner city & can trace both sides of his family back for generations to Capel St, Jervis St & Abbey St. in the heart of Dublin.
Before the pandemic he could be found playing in various different establishments with a host of different musicians in and around the Temple Bar area of Dublin.
If you have visited Dublin, chances are you could've came across him as a guide on the Musical Pub Crawl tour or busking on sunny days in the Dame District with his cohorts The Scope, consisting of

Eoin Dillon (Uilleann Pipes & Whistle)

The gigs in the basement of The Stags Head on their Friday & Saturday residency has become the stuff of legend whether you were there live or tuned in from across the world on the Periscope app to witness Irish culture.

An Anti War song written by Scotsman Eric Bogle who resides for many years now in Australia.
I first came across this song after The Fureys recorded it in the 80’s and subsequently discovered more great songs written by Bogle.
